Kissing in the Rain
Golden Quill - The Legacy (GQ2)Zara stared at Jongin’s hand,
“You can’t leave here,” Da-in smirked. “You know the rules.”
“Just watch me.” Without a care, Zara grabbed onto Jongin’s hand and he smiled, as if he was proud of her. Kai turned and pulled her out of the room and through the club, up the stairs and down the passage leading the exit. The bouncers at the door were too busy checking people going in to care about the people leaving. It was raining, Zara hesitated but Kai pulled her with him, out into the rain and she was free.
“Stop her,” she could hear the floor manager’s voice as he pushed passed the bouncers, pointing hysterically at them. This time Zara grabbed Jongin’s hand and pulled him through the rain and down a side alley, they ran until they couldn’t’ hear people chasing them anymore.
“Further,” she panted as she pulled him down another street, “we need to get far away…”
Kai stopped and she turned back, “Lee Jongin, we need to get away from here…” Zara was petrified now. The adrenaline had worn off. “What have I done? I need to go back. Emi…”
Kai yanked the masked girl forward and turning, pushed her up against the wall and kissed her. He kissed her deeply, trying to get rid off all his pain and anger.
Zara clutched onto his blazer, but she didn’t push him away, she kissed him back. “Kai…” she groaned against his lips.
Kai stilled at the mention of his family name, he slowly pulled away and searched her hidden face. He looked into the black pools that were her eyes. He didn’t know those eyes but when he kissed her and when he held her…without warning, he reached out and pulled the mask off.
“I wanted to tell you so many times…but I was afraid.” Sung-kyung whispered as they stared at each other. Jongin dropped to his knees in front of her.
Sung-kyung started crying, him not saying anything was worse. “I didn’t meet you that night because I was afraid.”
“Stop it…” Kai stood and glared at her through the rain. He hit his chest, finding it hard to breathe.
“Jongin ssi…”
“I can’t breath.” Kai slumped against the wall. Sung-kyung grabbed his face but she shoved her off. “Don’t touch me! You lost that right.”
“But you must have known?” Sung-kyung whimpered.
