Epilogue (update)
Two Moons and A Dragon
Seventeen years laters, Sehee and her family dreadfully waited for Draco’s coming of age. The legend was neither confirmed nor denied, but the fact that it exist brought everyone over the edge for many, many years.
Draco has grown to be a responsible and honest teenager just like how his parents wanted him to be. He proved to be the most powerful being in the entire galaxy when he learned to harness his abilities and strengthen its full capacity.
If he transforms into a dragon, the world will not just lose a powerful being, but a loving son, a protective brother, and an affectionate nephew.
They waited and waited for days. His mother and sister never left his side even at night. They would sleep beside him, hugging him, while his fathers stood on the side watching in agony, preparing for what’s to come.
On the mountainous and secluded part of the country up north, a young girl the same age as Draco, with the same mark on her shoulder, suddenly fell sick. She was all alone, shivering, mortified and cold inside her own home.
Unlike Draco who have his family and wholeheartedly accepted the idea of being a dragon, that mark became her curse. Even her equally powerful abilities brought her so much bad luck. Her parents left her when she was 2 to a blind old man who also passed away 8 years later.
She took refuge in the mountains and learned to hunt for food, take shelter in a cave, and fought to survive. She removed herself from civilization and lived on her own. It never crossed her mind that she will turn into a dragon.
One rainy night, the inevitable happened. The girl had huge bat-like wings on her back, a long pointed tail, horns and whiskers sticking out of her face. She was literally a dragon in the flesh, a teenage dragon at that.
But it was all too late. She passed away when her petite and weakened body didn’t endure the transformation. She spent her last breath in tears, wishing that someone would’ve been there to comfort her, praying that the heavens may welcome her.
The legend was true after all. But due to the fact that it’s been passed down from generations to generations, they all believed that it’s gonna happen to a human boy. In this case, to Draco. His family watch him grow for another year, and another, and another. His birthmark eventually disappeared. They didn’t know for whatever reason and didn’t bother to know. What’s important is that they have each other, healthy, breathing, and living.
