It’s 8:00AM.

White, fluffy clouds glide across the pale blue sky. The sun has awakened and is promptly emerging through the clear skies. Birds simultaneously tweet each other in a chorus, lulling those in slumber even more. As the breeze comes in, a sweet aroma coming from a flower bed filled the air.

All four rooms were fully occupied. Aside from random snores heard in the hallway, the entire villa is peacefully quiet.

It all ended when the doorbell rang.

When not a single dweller noticed, it rung again. Then again, and again, and again.

“H-Hyung…” Sehun kicked Baekhyun’s foot.

“What?” he croaked.

“I think…*yawns*...someone’s at the door.” maknae muttered.

“Go get it…then…” Baekhyun shifted to the other side and covered his head with a pillow.

“Shireo~” Sehun continued snoring.

Whoever kept pressing the doorbell just earned a death wish from a house full of upset sleepers.

In another room, his gift of sharp senses became a curse. Lay instinctively rose and forced himself to get out of bed. Still with his eyes closed, he dragged his groggy self through the hallway. His black trackpants were too long that it covered his feet and he would sometimes miss a step.

*RRIIINNNGGGGG!!!*

“Okay! Okay! I’m coming!” Lay shouted with his bedroom voice. But as he neared the door, his sleepiness instantly vanished. ‘Ehh? What is he doing here?’

He snap out of trance and hurriedly went to open door. “Y-youngjae???”

“H-Hyung…” the BAP member dropped on his arms. He was pale, cold, and almost dead.

“Hey! Hey! What happened?” Lay pulled him in, kicked the door, and carried him on his back.

He lowered him on the couch and placed a cushion under his head. As Lay assessed Youngjae, he appeared to be injured. Despite his noticeable weight loss, he was writhing in pain and breathing heavily. Sharp wheezes escaped his mouth and could barely open his eyes.

Lay ped his jacket and was shocked to see his inner shirt covered in blood. “!” he hissed. “Youngjae-ah…” he tapped his cheek. “I need you to stay with me, okay? Just keep breathing…” the BAP member painfully nodded. “BANG!!! ZELO!!!” he roared. “YAAHHH!!! EVERYBODY GET UP GODDAMNIT!”

“Dude! What’s with the yelling?” Chen came while rubbing his eyes.

“Go get Bang and Zelo! PPALLI!!!” the healer moved as fast as he could while undressing Youngjae’s upper body.

“Oh my God! Y-Youngjae?” Chen covered his gaping mouth in utter disbelief.

“I said! Get Bang and Zelo! Move your , Chen!” he ordered.

With that, lightning boy left and woke every person in the villa.

Youngjae’s chest was covered in fresh and dried blood. Lay can hardly even tell where it’s coming from. He rushed to the kitchen and grabbed a clean towel and soaked it with hot water. When he came back, Yongguk and Zelo were standing at the entrance of the lounge shocked and speechless. It was the worse they’ve seen from any of their members, not even when they fought Exo.

Kris and Suho came running out and were the one who helped Lay.

Youngjae was starting to lose consciousness. “Bro!” Lay tapped his cheek. “C’mon! Stay with me!” but he didn’t respond. Lay wiped every blood off his chest and with every , Youngjae flinched. “Youngjae-ah… Bear with it for now. I can’t find your wound! !” he looked at Kris who stood behind the couch. “I need more towels!” the leader left.

Lay found nothing on his chest. “Suho-ah… Let’s turn him on his side.” Suho held Youngjae and slowly shifted him.

“Oh my God!” Suho choked.

When the front was bad, his back was worse. It was no longer red, but a combination of maroon and purple from too much swelling and bleeding.

“Bro, would it be possible if you can wash it off?” Lay asked.

“Not a problem…” Suho's palm hovered Youngjae’s back and ran cold water on it. Youngjae shivered due to pain and cold water dripping behind him.

At that point in time, Yongguk snapped out of reality when he knew Youngjae needed him the most. He kneeled in front of him and touched his face. “Youngjae-ah… Hyung is here… You’re safe now… You gotta stay with us, okay?”

Youngjae’s hand slowly rose and his leader gripped it.

“Youngjae?” you stopped beside Zelo being trailed by the rest of Exo-K. “What happened to him? Why is there blood everywhere? Youngjae-ah?” you worried.

Lay looked at Kris. “Get her and Zelo out of here.” the leader nodded. “And don’t let Seri or Draco get here as well…” he left and went to take you and Zelo back to your room.

“What’s that?” Suho pointed at a sharp object lunged into Youngjae’s back.

“That’s a shuriken!” Baekhyun interrupted. They believed him since he is the weapons expert after all. “Can you take it out?” he asked Lay.

“Neh!” as his palm emitted hot energy on the wound, out came the deadly weapon and slowly closed. It dropped on the couch and Baekhyun took it. He raised it up and as the light catches it, the three edges showed how sharp it is, and the intricate emblem in the center became visible. “Dragon?” he murmured.

“Here’s another one!” Lay handed him another.

“Uwaaaa~ How did this even got him?” Baekhyun wondered.

“I dunno man!” Yongguk gritted teeth. “But I will ing kill whoever did this!”

After painstakingly check Youngjae, Lay tapped Yongguk’s shoulder. “You can bring him in our room. He’s safe now…”

“Thanks man!” the leader replied and carried his injured brother.

Lay dropped on the couch and breathe out a sigh of relief. He looked at the ceiling after leaning his head on the back rest. It's not because he got tired or disturbed from sleep, but because Youngjae just had a brush with death. He was by far the worst of all the injuries he attended to, and he don't even want to think what the rest of BAP is going through. 'I just hope they're safe and alright.'

“Hyung!” Sehun patted his arm. “Go get changed. We’ll clean this mess up!”

Lay looked down at his bloody self and chuckled. “Aigooo~” he stood. “Thanks bro!”
