It was that time of year again, whereas the love month has came along, and that specific day of the month was around the corner. You were prepared, of course. 

God bless this year to be special for you, because you were finally dating, and the perfect guy just happens to be no other than an idol. Oh for the many times, he’s ruined his image on television, but it didn’t bother you one bit.

He was himself, and that’s why you love him.

Anyways, you were sitting in the dining room, scanning through old magazines, whilst your second batch of cookies were baking. You were bored with your mind, as you had long decorated the cupcakes. The magazines became of no help, and you wished he’d arrived home sooner.

Suddenly, your video call on the laptop rung aloud. You dashed inside your bedroom, and checked the new mail. It was from him, and he had recorded himself, leaving a message.

You instantly clicked play.

“Hi jagi!”

His voice didn’t sound too good, and the recording wasn’t looking great either.

“I know that I had promised to be home on Valentine’s Day, but then something came up with the airplane schedules. I’m truly sorry that I won’t be spending Valentine’s Day with you, and I won’t be there to cuddle with you at night.”

Though the camera quality in the zone he was in, you could tell from his expression that he was truly sorry, and his eyes showed enough sorrow.

“The airplane had gotten delayed, because of the snow storm we’re receiving over here. I thought that I wouldn’t be cold in this night, but I am extremely freezing. The members are all asleep, as I’m the only one awake right now to tell you how sorry I am. Please don’t be upset with me, okay? I’ll call you tomorrow morning, and will soon be home to hold you. I love you lots, and happy Valentine’s Day, jagi.”

The call ended with a cute blow kiss, and you gave out a tiny smile. At least he left a message, and was sincere enough to let it be a video message. 

You cleaned up the kitchen after the batch of cookies had gotten done baking, and store the sweets away. You wiped the dining table clean, and prepared for another early bedtime. 

Closing your eyes and swiftly falling asleep, you soon felt muscular arms hugging around you, and a peck on your cheek. You sighed tiredly, thinking that it might just be your imagination, until you turned over to meet the owner of the arms.

“Happy Valentine’s Day,” he whispered with a wide grin, as he leaned in and kissed you on the lips. “But I thought that…weren’t you…wait, what?” You were now wide awake and confused, and all he did was laugh at your silly expressions.

“I got you good, didn’t I? We were already at the airport, and the guys we made a plan to surprise each of our girlfriends. So I thought about pranking you with not coming home,” he giggled slightly, and you slapped his arm.

“Ow, that hurts,” he pouted with cute duck lips at you. “Oh yeah? Well my heart was hurting too,” you pouted back, with a cuter sad expression. “Okay, I’m sorry,” he finally gave in, and chuckled at your expression battle.

“I’m glad you made it back safe and sound,” you whispered, as you placed your head on his chest. “Always,” he replied, and kissed your head.
