Golden Quill - The Legacy (GQ2)“Come on kid, you have to wake up.” Namjoon entered Kai’s suite and started to open the curtains and windows. “This room smells like death.”
“Leave me alone. It’s Saturday.”
“Don’t you want to visit Kyungsoo ssi?”
“Is he awake?” Kai asked groggily. He had drunk too much last night. His head hurt, and the House Master was giving him a bigger headache.
“Not yet,”
“Then leave me alone.”
“As of today you’re under a full Oracle security team,” Namjoon informed Kai. “You’re not allowed to move without a bodyguard.”
“Whatever.” Kai rolled over and covered his head with a pillow.
“Breakfast has started.”
“I’m not hungry.” Kai moaned.
“Too bad. This Oracle team is also in charge of making sure you eat. I will hook you up to a drip if I have to.” Namjoon threatened. “Come on kid, It breaks my heart to see you this way.”
“Does it look like I give a damn?”
“Have it your way then.” Namjoon left the room.
Thank God, now he could sleep. He wanted to sleep the whole day.
“Yah Lee Jongin.”
Kai stilled in bed, he knew that voice. He remembered that voice as if it was from a dream or a past life.
“Jongin ssi…”
Kai opened his eyes and sat up. “You,”
“Me,” Sung-kyung didn’t smile as she watched him, “Who are you?”
“Huh?” Kai flopped back onto the bed.
“You’re not the Lee Jongin I know and love.”
Kai’s heart was racing. Had she just said she loved him? He sat up again. “So you’re back?”
“Yeah, some selfish bastard I know is refusing to live life properly so I had to come back here and knock some sense into him.”
Kai laughed loudly. “So they thought you’d be able to save me?”
“I didn’t think you were the type of person who needed saving.” Sung-kyung admitted, “What a disappointment to see you like this. I can’t believe you’re making this all about you when Kyungsoo oppa is the one suffering.”
