Golden Quill - The Legacy (GQ2)“We should go.” Jung-hyun glanced at his watch. They were told to be out of Oracle in the hour to meet their flight to Japan. A car would take them to the airport and the Consortium plane would fly them to their new home. Jung-hyun would travel with Yoonah and settle her into the institution before returning home to settle his affairs. He had decided to leave the coffee shop under new management until such a time he could return. Maybe he would never return, only time would tell.
“He’ll come.” Yoonah insisted as she sat sullenly in her wheelchair. It was state of the art and designed by one of the inventors in Oracle’s medical division. Jung-hyun had only spent a couple of days in the building and much of the business operations were still a mystery to him, but what he had seen had amazed him. It made him love Song Gaelin even more. He had known she was different, special, out of his world like a goddess but seeing everything she’d built and accomplished was thrilling and painful at the same time. It proved that she was out of his reach. That a simple man like him could never be enough for a woman like her.
“We really can’t delay.” Jung-hyun picked up his backpack.
Ren appeared at the door, “It’s time.” She nodded to a man, “This is Max. He will be accompanying you to the institute. He has all the necessary papers. You are in good hands.”
“Thank you,” Jung-hyun bowed at the androgynous woman.
“I will be visiting Yoonah ssi at the end of the month. Till then.” Ren bowed.
Max pulled out a remote and pushed a button, the wheelchair moved smoothly across the room. The Oracle operative had a smug look on his face. Yoonah knew he was thrilled to be controlling her after all the trouble she’d caused.
“Wait,” Max scowled as President Wu Yifan approached, “Can I have a moment with Yoonah ssi…” Ren shook her head, “I’ll be okay.” He assured the Song House Master.
“It looks like you have your wish,” Yoonah mentioned once they were back in her roo
