Suyun was standing off to the side of the stage at the stylists were drowning her in hair spray and pulling her skirt up higher and high until it was uncomfortable but thankfully she had matching hot shorts underneath. Bomi and Zelo were getting set up by her and they were all wearing matching outfits of white with gold accents which Suyun had on her expensive sneakers and the jewellery that was draped around her neck and arms.  Even though Suyun and Leo weren’t singing, they were given tiny mics that were going to be taped to the side of their face, but they wouldn’t be on as loud as the others. When the staff members were done with Leo, he headed over to Suyun who were looking around at the bustling people backstage.

“Ready?” He asked when he stepped up beside her and Suyun just shook her head with a sad look on her face. “What’s wrong? Are you sick again?” Leo looked over Suyun with a worried expression in his eyes, wondering if she had been overworking herself again. By now the sun was almost completely down and the dim light from staff members flash lights and from the stage were the only way that they could see each other.

“No, I’m fine….I’m just…” Suyun looked to Leo, feeling stupid for having all of these worries. But, if the issue with Kangnam taught her anything, she knew that it was better to be honest with Leo than to try and keep anything hidden. “I’m just worried about what happens when this ends.” Even though he was a little confused, Leo just silently nodded his head. “When the show ends I won’t be able to see you…and the rest of the team…” Suyun looked around at the staff that were hanging around them and putting the finishing touches on them.

“It doesn’t matter how far apart we are or how long it has been since we have talked, if our friendship is meant to last than it will.” Leo reached out and put a supporting hand on Suyun’s shoulder. She turned her head, resting her cheek against his hand, hating how they can’t hug because people will see them. A minute later the white team was being led onto a completely darkened stage with the fans cheering in anticipation. Suyun took her spot to the left of Zico who was standing at the front of the formation. On the direct opposite side of him was Bomi and behind her were CAP and then Leo. Behind Suyun were Zelo and then Kangnam who was still not talking to Leo and kept his distance from Suyun. The lights came on and the fans, mostly the Teen Top fans, roared when they heard the song. They had changed the fan chant from the Teen Top member’s names to the white team member names.

“LEADER CAP! ZICO! KANGNAM! LEO! ZELO! SUYUN! BOMI! WHITE TEAM GO GO!” The team quickly went into their routine and somehow the crowd got even louder when they started to do the fire footsteps to the song, everyone was impressed with how well they seemed to be pulling off the difficult dance moves. During the performance small fireworks were set off and lights flashed everywhere. Zelo even had a little solo dance moment during the song and BABYS were happy that their maknae was finally getting the centre stage that they thought he deserved.  The song ended and they all struck a pose and a million flashes went off in the audience from all the cameras and pictures being taken. Once again in total darkness, Suyun and the rest of the team were rushed off of the stage so they could start preparing for the other team who were performing to a remixed version of 2pm’s ‘Go Crazy’.

“Oh my God.” Suyun was panting heavily as she dropped down into a chair in the waiting tent and chugged back a water bottle in under thirty seconds. Zelo, as per usual, was bouncing around and was trying to get everyone pumped up as he claimed that there was no way they could lose. Since the finale was being broadcasted live the white team huddled around an iPad and watched the final performance from the Black team. They all seemed to seamlessly move around the stage and even the people who were strong dancers still were performing very well. Leo looked to Suyun who still had the same sad expression on her face that she had on before the performance. He didn’t know what he could do to show her that she didn’t have to worry about them breaking up. A thought popped into his head and he pulled out his cellphone and quickly texted Ravi who was most likely sitting in his little writing room in the company building where he spent all of his free time writing and creating new songs. By the time he finished, they were being told they had only two minutes before they had to go back up on the stage for the final verdict. They could hear the MC talking back and forth to the judges and it was clear that they liked Suyun and Leo’s duet but preferred the other teams dance.

Zico proposed a small dinner for the team no matter the outcome and after everyone check with their managers they said that they would go which made Leo even more anxious about getting on track with Ravi. He heard Suyun call out his name but he had to excuse himself when he got a phone call from Ravi and headed out of the tent to find somewhere quiet to talk.

“What’s the problem?” Leo asked with one ear plugged so he could try and hear Ravi better.

“I don’t know the combination to your locker!” Ravi yelled into the phone and Leo just rolled his eyes. The boys had lockers by their practice rooms so they could store their bags and jackets in a safe place in case a crazy fan somehow found their way into the building and tried to steal something. Leo rambled off his code and listened as Ravi opened it and went through his belongings to find the little black plastic bag that was hidden in the back corner.

“I’m going to text you the address of the restaurant we are going to afterwards so bring it there.” Leo ordered from his friend and Ravi just whined about how he didn’t have a ride there but happily agreed to be the delivery boy when Leo promised to pay for the taxi ride. When he got back to the tent everyone was already lining up to head out onto the stage. He was in such a haze during the whole thing that he completely zoned out of the interviews and the comments that the judges had given about each performance. The only reaction he gave was thanking the judges when Suyun elbowed him after they complimented their duet and how they seemed like a real couple.  They then had to stand in a row as the MC was handed an envelope that had the winning teams name in it. Bomi grabbed Suyun’s hand and was squeezing it so tightly she thought that it was actually going to be crushed.

 “And the winner is…” The whole stadium got quiet as the MC slowly pulled out the small piece of paper and, with a smile on his face he yelled, “THE BLACK TEAM! CONGRATULATIONS!” The crowd happily roared and the members of the black team were all jumping up and down, excited to be the winners. On the other hand, the white team just stood off to the side, clapping their hands and saying how excited they were that the other team won. It wasn’t the outcome that Suyun had hoped for but she was happy to have even made it to the finales. She didn’t know how the girls would react when they find out that they weren’t going to get a television.
