As they waited outside Seungyeon's room Jonghyun's doctor passed by. He stopped and whispered to Jonghyun. Jonghyun looked up at the doctor and nodded.

 

Jonghyun wheeled himself over to Key. "Watch my son, and Seungyeon. I need to go somewhere and I'll be back. Uncle Key."

Key blushed a bit. "Hurry back."

 

Jonghyun nodded and wheeled himself away.

"It looks like you and your baby are fine. You got through the night well." The doctor praised Seungyeon as he checked the clipboard.

"Thank you." Seungyeon bowed.

"Seungyeon," The doctor looked up from his clipboard. "From now is the hard part. You need to take care of your body as well as your baby. I also noticed your husband is ill, so you'll have a harder time. Don't be afraid to ask for help from your family or you will stress yourself out too much."

Seungyeon nodded taking in the information. "I'll ask when I need help."

"Good girl." The doctor smiled. "Now the nurse will show you how to take care of your new baby. Do you need paper for notes? Usually I wouldn't offer but recently I've had a few moms ask me for notepaper."

 

Seungyeon looked at the nurse carrying her baby. She wanted to raise the baby perfectly and didn't want to make a mistake.

 

"I'll take some notepaper and a pen just in case." Seungyeon replied.

"Very well." The doctor smiled. "Want everything to be perfect."

 

Seungyeon nodded as the doctor gave her paper and a pen. The doctor left the room and the nurse walked up to Seungyeon.

 

"Ready to learn mommy?" The nurse asked.

"Yes." Seungyeon nodded.

Jonghyun nervously sat on her bed in his room. He was waiting for the doctor to come. Jonghyun played with his fingers.

 

The door opened and Jonghyun shot up. He looked at the door and the doctor walked in.

 

"Hello Jonghyun." The doctor smiled.

"Hello." Jonghyun bowed.

"Congratulations I heard you're a father now."

"Thank you." Jonghyun smiled thinking of Seungyeon and Yeo Woon.

"I didn't to disturb you during your moment of happiness but I figured you wanted to know your results to the test you took last week." The doctor looked at the clip board. "You ready for the results?"

"I guess." Jonghyun replied trying to act smoothly, but inside he was shaking terribly.

 

The doctor examined the results on the clipboard. Jonghyun's heart pounded hardly.

 

He said if the results are good I'll live. If the results are bad I'll only have a few months or years to live.

 

Jonghyun glanced at the notebook on his desk.

 

"Jonghyun." The doctor snapped Jonghyun's attention back to him. "Your results are..."

"Are?" Jonghyun asked.

"Good. It's like a miracle." The doctor smiled. "When we first ran the tests you were getting better, but recently the results started declining. Today I was expecting to give you a few months or years to your life, but the results changed. It's like a miracle. I think you can return home in 2 to 3 months." The doctor smiled.

"Really?" Jonghyun smiled widely.

"Yes, but," The doctor's smile faded and so did Jonghyun's. "The illness can return anytime. You need to be careful. After maybe 5 years or so if you're fine you're probably cured."

"Thank you." Jonghyun bowed.

 

Jonghyun looked down at his hands.

 

I'm happy that I'm better, but I guess that fantasy I had of suddenly being fine and returning to normal isn't going to happen that fast.

 

"Jonghyun." The doctor called him. "About your son."

 

Jonghyun looked up at the doctor curiously.

 

"Since you have leukemia and sometimes it's in heritable. You need to be careful and monitor your son to make sure he doesn't have it like you." The doctor warned.

Jonghyun froze for a moment and stared at the doctor. "Oh..."

There was no way Jonghyun wanted his son to go through all the things he had had to go through because of his sickness.

"Well.. we will take good care of him and pay attention to that... doctor.. do you think he will really get leukemia too..?" he asked nervously.

 

The doctor smiled and patted Jonghyun's shoulder. "We all don't know what will happen. But let's all hope for the best, I think your son will grow up to be strong and healthy. Don't worry too much about this now, I just wanted to let you know. Now what you need to do is think about your own illness and getting healthy yourself. Now go to your family."

 

Jonghyun smiled and bowed to him then exited the room.

As Seungyeon walked back to her room with Yeo Woon, she noticed Key, Jong Suk, Woohyun, Jihyun and Donghae gathered near the window doing something strange.

 

 

Seungyeon frowned and walked closer. "What are you guys doing?"

"Oooh.. you're here already?!" Jong Suk turned around shocked.

Seungyeon looked at him confused and put Yeo Woon back to the crib. Just then Jonghyun also walked in the room, he looked at his friends confused to and went to Seungyeon.

"What's going on?" he asked. Seungyeon shrugged.

 

"Could you guys look away for a while, go there on the bed and kiss or something.." Donghae said trying to hide something behind him.

Seungyeon and Jonghyun looked at each other then walked to the bed and sat looking away from their friends.

 

Jonghyun held Seungyeon's hand as they waited. He looked at her and smiled brightly. "I just went to see the doctor to hear some results about the tests I took last week... and guess what...."

"What??" Seungyeon stared at Jonghyun impatiently.

 

"He said the results were good. And he thinks I might be able to go back home in a few months!!!" Jonghyun told her.

Seungyeon stared at Jonghyun wide eyed. Slowly happiness spread all over her.

"Really?! That's the best news ever!!!" Seungyeon exclaimed and hugged Jonghyun tightly

 

"Jonghyun is that true?! This time is that really true?" Key turned around as he heard Jonghyun and Seungyeon too.

"Yeah, this time. I really hope it's true, that I will get out of here soon. I really want to get out of here already." Jonghyun said.

 

"But what are you guys doing?" Seungyeon asked.

"Oh, wait.." Key said and walked to them. Jihyun walked to Seungyeon.

"Close your eyes." Jihyun said. Jonghyun and Seungyeon closed their eyes as Key and Jihyun held their hands and started leading them toward the window.

 

"Open your eyes!!" Donghae exclaimed. Seungyeon and Jonghyun both opened their eyes.

They blinked their eyes staring at what they saw in front of them. There was a table full of food. On the left side of the table were foods that Seungyeon really liked and on the right side of thte table there were foods Jonghyun really liked. In the middle of it all there was a cake.

 

"What is all this?" Seungyeon asked surprised.

"Food, can't you see." Woohyun chuckled.

"There's even lemon juice." he pointed.

"We thought we should celebrate that your baby was born and now we have a even bigger reason to celebrate right? Because of the good news about Jonghyun." Jihyun said.

 

"Wow, you guys.. how were you this fast to bring this all here.?" Jonghyun asked.

"Well... we didn't really cook all this.. there were good restaurants here nearby." Donghae confessed.

 

"But I made the cake!" Woohyun said proudly. "But I helped too.." Key said. "We made it at my place.."

"But I mostly made it... Key just gave me advice." Woohyun said.

 

"Well.. it sure looks like Woohyun made it." Jonghyun teased Woohyun.

"What?" Woohyun looked at Jonghyun. "Is that a good or a bad thing?"

"A bad thing." Jonghyun grinned playfully.

"YAH! " Woohyun exclaimed.

"Look, it looks all crooked... and the cream... well... but it's okay. Thank you." Jonghyun tapped his shoulder.

"Aishh..." Woohyun grumbled annoyed but deep inside he was happy that he could argue with Jonghyun like before. So was Jonghyun.

 

"Let's just eat." Seungyeon giggled. "Thank you all."

 

Jonghyun and Seungyeon started tasting everything their friends had brought them.

 

Woohyun walked to Yeo Woon's crib. "Mianhe.. we got nothing for you. But just wait, when you get a little bit older uncle Woohyun will buy you all the delicious foods there are." Woohyun said and tickled Yeo Woon's tummy gently.

 

That caused Yeo Woon to kick and hit the air a little bit. Yeo Woon suddenly hit Woohyun's arm by accident.

 

"Aigoo why'd you hit me... don't tell me you got something against me already Yeo Woon-ah... just like your father huh? Don't take after your appa too much okay, but become like your umma. Your umma likes me more.." Woohyun talked to the baby playfully.

 

"Hey, what are you doing? Trying to brainwash my son to like you?" Jonghyun snapped playfully.

Woohyun shrugged and grinned at Jonghyun.

 

"Aigoo.. you two. Never change." Seungyeon shook her head and chuckled.

"I hope that Yeo Woon will like Woohyun." she said.

 

"You heard that right?" Woohyun grinned at Jonghyun.

Jonghyun rolled his eyes. "It's not like I want him to hate you or anything..." he said.

A few months had passed and it was finally the day Jonghyun had been waiting impatiently for so long. The day he had sometimes thought he would never see.

 

But now that day was finally here.

 

The day when Jonghyun would finally get out of the hospital.

 

The day he could finally go back home.

 

Seungyeon was in Jonghyun's room waiting how Jonghyun was packing all his things. Seungyeon was holding Yeo Woon in her arms and sat on the couch.

 

"Yeo Woon, today we are all going to Seoul. Appa, umma and Yeo Woon, we will all go to Seoul. Isn't it exciting? You haven't been there yet.. you are not going to be a country side boy then but a city boy. And appa is coming with us! Isn't it great?" Seungyeon said to her son.

 

Yeo Woon just looked at his mother.

Seungyeon walked over to the window and looked outside. She held up Yeo Woon to the window. "Take a look outside because it's the last time we're going to see this wonderful view."

 

Jonghyun stuck the last of his belongings into his bag and looked at Seungyeon pointing out things outside of the window to Yeo Woon. Jonghyun snuck behind Seungyeon and wrapped his arms around her waist. He placed his chin on her shoulder. Seungyeon tilted her head toward him and leaned on him. The family silently stared outside and reminisced of the place where sad, yet happy memories were made. They

 

"Let's not come back here ever again." Jonghyun told Seungyeon.

"Why? It's where our son was born." Seungyeon told him.

"Yes, but it's where I nearly died. Where you spent hours crying. Where-"

Seungyeon kissed his cheek. "You talk too much."

 

Jonghyun shook his head and smiled. Seungyeon passed Yeo Woon to Jonghyun and grabbed Jonghyun's heavy bags. Jonghyun tried to take his bags, but she pulled away.

 

"I always carry Yeo Woon and my arms are tired. Plus, if I carry Yeo Woon all the time then he's going to turn into a mommy's boy, and he's going to cry for mommy all the time and never for daddy. You wouldn't want that would you?" Seungyeon pulled Jonghyun's bag over her shoulder. "Plus I'm still stronger than you." Seungyeon hit Jonghyun's weak spot with her last statement.

"For now," Jonghyun made a sour face. "so don't get used to it because I know you're so loving being stronger than me."

"I am loving this and I'm going to bask in it until the time comes." Seungyeon stuck her tongue out.

Jonghyun chuckled at her cuteness. "My cute Yeo Woon's omma, let's go."

 

Jonghyun held his hand out for Seungyeon and she gladly intertwined her fingers with his. Hand in hand they walked outside of the hospital to where Key was waiting with the car.

 

Jonghyun opened the car door Seungyeon. She got inside, but hit head on the roof with a loud bonk.

 

"Owie." Seungyeon rubbed her head.

 

Key and Jonghyun silently chuckled at her. Jonghyun rubbed her head and shut the door. He walked over to the other side and put Yeo Woon inside his car seat as Seungyeon continued rubbing her sore head. Jonghyun glanced over at Seungyeon as he buckled up Yeo Woon. He accidentally let a small chuckle escape his lips.

 

"Yah! It hurts." Seungyeon whined. She looked over at Yeo Woon. "Your appa and Uncle Key are being mean."

 

Yeo Woon just looked at Seungyeon with wide innocent eyes.

 

"He's on my side. He thinks you're adorable." Jonghyun gently rubbed Yeo Woon's tummy then closed the door.

 

Jonghyun got into the car and Key drove off.

Key stopped the car at Seungyeon's house. "I think it's better that you and Seungyeon stay together since you're a family know. Seungyeon, Donghae, Jong Suk, Woohyun, and I packed everything from your room and brought it here that day when we told you to watch Yeo Woon."

"Oh, thanks." Jonghyun hugged Key.

 

Key smiled and went to get Yeo Woon from his seat. Seungyeon grabbed Jonghyun's bag from the trunk. The four of them went inside Seungyeon, and now Jonghyun's house.

 

As soon as they got inside Key immediately went to Yeo Woon's room and put him inside his crib. Seungyeon took Jonghyun on a small tour of their room. She also showed him a few of his things that were in boxes since she didn't know what do with them.

 

"I only put away your clothes. I hope you won't get mad at me." Seungyeon blushed, remembering when she opened a few of his boxes filled with clothes and had to touch his boxers.

"I won't. Thank you." Jonghyun kissed her rose colored cheek.

 

Jonghyun and Seungyeon went back into the living room where Key was waiting to bit his farewell.

 

"I'm going home now, but I'll be back tomorrow to check on you two. Also don't forget the party tomorrow." Key reminded.

"Party?" Jonghyun asked.

"Yeah. We wanted to throw you a welcome back party, plus everyone wanted to meet Yeo Woon." Key told him. "Especially Jaejoong and Jessica. They were super upset when they found out your were in the hospital and that you two had a kid without telling them. Jaejoong was ranting about wanting to hold his nephew and wanting to be called Uncle Jae."

Jonghyun smiled. "I guess I should appologize huh?"

"Yeah, but get a good night's sleep first. Tomorrow's going to be a big tiring day." Key said.

 

The three bid their farewells and Key left. Seungyeon and Jonghyun were now alone in the house as Yeo Woon was asleep.

 

"Do you want to eat dinner? It's almost 7, so I can start cooking." Seungyeon looked at Jonghyun.

"Real food sounds good, especially since you're making it. Hospital food is gross." Jonghyun smiled.

"Food it is." Seungyeon skipped off the kitchen.

 

Jonghyun followed Seungyeon into the kitchen and sat next to the counter. He watched Seungyeon put the apron on and look for ingredients to make the food.

"We don't have many things in the refrigerator... we can only eat some rice, kimchi and something else small.. is that okay?" Seungyeon asked Jonghyun.

 

"I'm sure anything you make will taste heavenly compared to hospital food." Jonghyun said.

Seungyeon smiled and began cooking.

"Mmmmhhhh... I think that was the best meal i've had in ages!!" Jonghyun said tapping his stomach after eating.

 

Seungyeon cleaned up the table then walked to Jonghyun and sat on his lap. She wrapped her arms around his neck and looked at him.

 

Jonghyun looked back at her. "Why?"

Seungyeon shook her head. "I'm just happy you are here with me."

"Me too." Jonghyun chuckled.

 

Seungyeon rested her head down on Jonghyun's shoulder. "But Jonghyun..." she said.

"What?" Jonghyun asked.

"When are you getting me the ring?" Seungyeon asked.

"Ring?" Jonghyun titled his head.

 

Seungyeon lifted up her head and looked at Jonghyun wide eyed. " Don't tell me you forgot!" she pouted.

"Forgot.... uh... ring.... of course I didn't forget about it. I promised to get you a ring when I got out the hospital. Of course I didn't forget." Jonghyun said.

 

"Then, when?" Seungyeon nudged Jonghyun.

"Soon.. just wait." Jonghyun chuckled and kissed her cheek. "I will get you the most beautiful ring I can find."

 

"Araso.. thank you." Seungyeon smiled satisfied.

"That's all you've been waiting for, to get that ring? That's the reason you are happy i'm out the hospital, so you can get a ring??" Jonghyun frowned.

"Of course not, you silly!!!" Seungyeon slapped his shoulder playfully.

 

Seungyeon got up and walked to the living room. Jonghyun followed.

Seungyeon sat down on the couch, Jonghyun laid down beside her and put his head on her lap.

 

"It's been so long I've been here. I think I need to clean the house a bit tomorrow." Seungyeon said as she looked around.

Jonghyun just nodded.

 

Seungyeon gently his hair. "It feels so funny it's no longer just me living here alone but, now three people." she said.

"Don't you like it?" Jonghyun asked.

"I love it. I love that you are living with me." Seungyeon smiled.

"I hope Yeo Woon gets many good friends here when he grows up a little more."

 

"I'm sure he will. Besides i'm sure that all the little girls in this area will have a crush on our Yeo Woon.. he is the son of the king of skinship.. sooo if Yeo Woon takes after me all the girls will fall for him and he will become the Kingka in his school." Jonghyun giggled.

 

"Yah! Stop boasting about yourself! Besides I don't want Yeo Woon to turn into a guy flirting with every girl!! And I was only talking about friends not girlfriends this early!" Seungyeon exclaimed.

"I'm not boasting.. just saying...." Jonghyun shrugged and blinked his eyes innocently at Seungyeon. "And don't worry I won't teach him to become a flirt."

"You better not." Seungyeon punched Jonghyun's shoulder a little bit.

 

"I will just teach him how to be the perfect boyfriend every girl dreams of okay? Just like me..." Jonghyun grinned.

"Yah! Again you're boasting about yourself. Who said you are every girl's dream boyfriend. You are only my perfect boyfriend, no one elses! Araso?" Seungyeon said.

"Okay okay. But you do admit that i'm the perfect boyfriend material don't you?" Jonghyun grinned playfully.

 

"I'm not admitting anything." Seungyeon crossed her arms.

Jonghyun sat up and stared at Seungyeon's face. He got closer and pecked her lips. "Not admitting it?"

 

Seungyeon shook her head.

 

Jonghyun smirked and kissed her lips again, this time a little bit deeper. He pulled away and looked at Seungyeon again. " Still not admitting it?"

Seungyeon just looked away.

 

Jonghyun leaned closer again to kiss her again but Seungyeon pushed him away. "How do you think kissing me will make me admit that you are perfect boyfriend material? Only kissing doesn't prove anything.."

 

Jonghyun chuckled. "I know. But I just wanted to kiss you."

Seungyeon shook her head and let out a small sigh.

Jonghyun ruffled her hair. "I love you." he said.

 

"Why did you have to mess my hair!" Seungyeon whined and fixed her hair.

"Your hair just looked like it needed some mess in it. But you're not going to say you love me too?" Jonghyun pouted.

"Aigooo.... Jonghyun without me even saying it, you should know that I love you. So much." Seungyeon smiled.

 

"But can you say it to me once... I want to hear you say it now." Jonghyun said.

Seungyeon was silent for a while then wrapped her arms around Jonghyun and hugged him tightly. "I love you." she said.

 

Jonghyun smiled widely then laid back down resting his head on Seungyeon's lap. "I really like it here... Instead of going to the evening check up in the hospital like before, I can listen how my Seungyeon baby is saying sweet things to me. It feels so good~~"
