About a month from that day had passed. Seungyeon felt that now she was maybe finally ready to meet Jonghyun again.

 

She had just called Jihyun to ask her to ask Jonghyun to meet at the town center that evening. Jihyun had told Seungyeon that she would try to get Jonghyun to come there but that she couldn't promise if Jonghyun would show up or not.

 

They were supposed to meet at 8PM, if they were to meet.

 

Seungyeon glanced at the clock on the wall. 7.25..

She was combing her hair in front of the mirror in her room. She had tried to dress to prettier clothes than usual and make herself prettier to meet Jonghyun.

 

Suddenly she stopped and stared at her image on the mirror.

Why am I actually doing all this? Trying to look pretty in front of Jonghyun.. why am I doing this? He broke my heart and left me for another girl.. then why am I here preparing myself like i'm going on a first date or something?

 

Suddenly Woohyun walked in the room. "You look pretty today. What's the occasion? Should I dress up nicely too?" he chuckled when he saw Seungyeon.

"...No...I just wanted to try on this shirt that's all." Seungyeon lied to Woohyun and grabbed her bag. "Actually I was about to go for a walk, I need some fresh air."

 

"Oh.. okay. Well don't stay for too long, there's one horror movie coming from TV.. and I want to watch it with you.. it's too creepy to watch alone." Woohyun told her.

"Oh... well.. I will see. I'm going now though." Seungyeon said and headed to the door.

 

Woohyun followed her then suddenly grabbed her hand and looked down at Seungyeon's stomach.

"Remember not to strain yourself too much then, you need to take care of the little one." Woohyun said smiling gently like a father would.

Seungyeon touched her stomach and smiled a little bit. "I won't."

 

Seungyeon opened the door and waved at Woohyun. She looked down at her tummy. We are going to meet your appa soon.. maybe.

It was 8PM and Seungyeon was standing by a fountain in a park in the town center waiting that Jonghyun would arrive. Jihyun had told that if Jonghyun was going to come they should meet at the fountain.

 

Seungyeon stared at the water in the small fountain nervously as she waited for Jonghyun.

 

Is Jonghyun going to come here or not? If he comes what am I going to do?

 

Seungyeon looked up at the sky and sighed. She saw beautiful stars on the sky, they reminded her of the stars she had seen in Italy.

"I'll pick you up here in an hour." Key told Jonghyun. "Remember no longer then an hour and if you feel sick you need to call me or the hospital. Don't ruin this chance because it took me forever to get the doctors approval of this." Key reminded. "Now go she's waiting."

 

Key pushed Jonghyun's back towards Seungyeon. From where they stood Seungyeon could be seen clearly. Key sat down and watched at Jonghyun slowly made his way towards her.

 

Man up Jonghyun. You can talk to her. Just pretend that you've been fine in Italy.

 

Jonghyun approached Seungyeon. "Hey." He called her from 10 feet away.

 

Seungyeon turned around and saw Jonghyun for the first time in months. He wore long pants, long sleeves, and a beanie. Seungyeon couldn't help but stare at him noticing the slight change in fashion with the beanie and that he had gotten a lot thinner.

 

Jonghyun also couldn't take his eyes off her. From behind she looked beautiful with her long dress. From the front she looked even more beautiful. Her lips and eyes were still inviting too him, but he held back. Jonghyun noticed her stomach.

 

"So... nice to see you." Jonghyun tried starting a conversation.

"Same here." Seungyeon replied.

 

There was another long awkward pause.

 

"So how have you been? Has Woohyun been taking care of you?" Jonghyun asked.

"I've been alright I guess. And Woohyun's been a help. You?" Seungyeon replied.

"I.. couldn't have been any better." Jonghyun replied.

"So hows Italy?" Seungyeon asked.

"It's been great. I've been getting a lot of jobs and I think I'll be a world star one day." Jonghyun smoothly lied.

"Oh... I see." Seungyeon said.

 

Another awkward silence hit. Just then a gust of wind blew and the wind got colder.

 

"Nice weather isn't it." Seungyeon said, then mentally whacked herself.

"Yeah. It's nice. I actually kind of like it." Jonghyun replied honestly since he was cooped up in the hospital.

 

Another silence hit them. Jonghyun couldn't help but glance at her stomach.

 

"So... um... are you... ah... pregnant?" Jonghyun asked.

"Um... yeah." Seungyeon replied.

 

Should I tell him he's the father.

 

"That's great. I-" Jonghyun stopped and closed his eyes.

 

He tried to remain composed, but the windy weather was getting to him. He was getting dizzy. He could feel himself getting weaker.

 

"Jonghyun. You okay?" Seungyeon asked taking a step closer.

"I'm fine." Jonghyun opened his eyes.

"You sure?" Seungyeon asked unsure.

"I'm fine." Jonghyun replied.

 

He took out his out his phone and called his speed dial number 2.

 

"I'm fine-" Jonghyun collapsed.

 

Seungyeon stood shocked. Key ran over with his phone in his hand.

 

"I told you not to force yourself." Key yelled with tears of worry in his eyes.

 

Key carried Jonghyun to his car. Seungyeon followed them. Seungyeon sat in the back of the car as Key laid Jonghyun down in the front seat. Key sped off towards the hospital.

 

"Key what's wrong with Jonghyun?" Seungyeon asked.

"Nothing. I'll tell you later just call Donghae and Jong Suk." Key said as he focused on speeding to the hospital. "Also call Woohyun to come pick you up."

 

Seungyeon called Donghae and Jong Suk, who both said they were coming. Seungyeon looked at Woohyun's number.

 

Should I call him? If I call him he'll never let me find out more about Jonghyun.

 

Seungyeon decided to text Woohyun.

I decided to meet up with Jihyun and Donghae for the night.

I'll be back late.

Don't wait up for me.

Seungyeon snapped her phone shut.

 

Sorry Woohyun. I need to know what's wrong with Jonghyun and why he broke up with me. I need to know the truth.

The doctors rushed to Jonghyun and Key when they arrived to the hospital, taking him to his room. Seungyeon just followed confused.

 

"Wait here." Key told her and went in Jonghyun's room leaving Seungyeon standing alone behind the closed door.

What is wrong with him? Seungyeon thought worried and sat to wait. She stared at the nametag that was on the wall beside the door, Jonghyun's name was written on it. Seungyeon frowned. How come his name is in there? Didn't he just come here just now?

 

After a while Jong Suk and Donghae ran there. They stopped for a moment when they noticed Seungyeon sitting there.

 

"Seungyeon?" Donghae stared at her.

"Is Jonghyun okay?" Jong Suk asked.

"I don't know.. he just collapsed then they took him there. I don't know what is wrong. Key said to wait.." Seungyeon replied.

 

Donghae and Jong Suk sat beside her to wait. Donghae glanced at Seungyeon, now noticing her stomach. "It's been a while we saw each other. How have you been? ...seems like your relationship with Woohyun is pretty serious now.." Donghae said staring at her stomach.

Jong Suk looked at Seungyeon's stomach too. "Oh, you are going to have a baby. When should it be born?"

 

"Maybe about after 5 months.." Seungyeon answered.

"But it's not like you think.. this situation-" she started but was cut by Key who came out Jonghyun's room.

 

She was about to tell Jong Suk and Donghae that the baby wasn't Woohyun's but because of the disturbance she didn't say anything now.

 

"How is Jonghyun?!" Jong Suk got up.

"He is fine now. He just needs a lot of rest but he is fine." Key said.

 

"Key, what is wrong with Jonghyun?" Seungyeon asked.

 

Key stayed silent for a moment. "I will tell you later but I think you should go back home now, you called Woohyun right?"

"But I- please, can't you just tell me now." Seungyeon pleaded.

 

"You should just go home now. I think it will stress Jonghyun out if you stay around for too long right now." Key told her.

"Can't you just tell me what is wrong with him? Is it serious?" Seungyeon asked getting really frustrated that Key wasn't telling her anything.

"I told you that I would tell you later... just go home." Key repeated himself then walked in Jonghyun's room.

 

Seungyeon looked at Jong Suk and Donghae. "Do you know what is wrong with Jonghyun?"

"Welll.." Donghae hesitated. He wasn't sure if they should tell Seungyeon or not as they knew Jonghyun didn't want her to find out. "I'm not that sure about it... maybe we should all go home now. Jonghyun is fine, so I don't think we need to worry about him." Donghae lied and trying to get Seungyeon out the hospital that way.

 

Jong Suk followed also.

 

Seungyeon glanced at Donghae, she had known Donghae so long that she knew very well when he was lying. He is lying to me.. but I don't think anyone is going to tell me anything here. I think I need to find out by myself.
