”Guys, guys, guys guess what?! She said yes, she said she will go on a date with me. Isn't it great, I might have a girlfriend soon!" Woohyun exclaimed happily to his group of friends who had been waiting for him as he had asked the girl he had a crush on out.

It was late at night and they were all in a club.

"That's great!" Jihyun and Donghae said in unison. The two had been dating for two years.

Seungyeon looked at Woohyun and put on a fake smile. "Yeah, it's great.."
The other guy, Jonghyun who was sitting beside Seungyeon didn't say anything just smiled faintly at his excited friend.

"Seungyeon, thanks so much for introducing me to her! I really owe you!" Woohyun said happily and sat down with his friends.
"Oh.. no problem.. good that she said yes.." Seungyeon said. She was smiling but deep inside she felt horrible.

I didn't expect she would want to go out with him...

Seungyeon really liked Woohyun but she had never told him because he had always been interested in another girl. She didn't want to break their friendship so she didn't reveal her feelings for him, and on top of that Seungyeon had been the one helping to introduce the girl he liked to him. She had told only good things about him, telling how great boyfriend he would be as she really cared about Woohyun and wanted only the best for him.. and now the girl had said yes to him. And Seungyeon felt really bad about it inside but pretended to be happy.

"Hey, look isn't that the girl you asked out? She is coming this way?" Donghae said pointing towards the girl.
"Hi... I just wanted to ask... if you would come dance with me.. you know the night is still young..?" The girl asked smiling shyly at Woohyun.
"Of course. See you later guys, have fun!" Woohyun said and left his friends to go dance with the girl.

Seungyeon sighed and stared down.
Jonghyun who was sitting beside her looked at Seungyeon worried.

Why must she do this to herself? Even helping to introduce that girl... aish... how horrible she must be feeling right now.. how can he be so stupid and not notice how much Seungyeon cares about him? I hate to see Seungyeon hurt like this.

Jonghyun really cared a lot about Seungyeon. But Seungyeon had no idea because Jonghyun was just like Seungyeon was to Woohyun. Jonghyun had never revealed his feelings to Seungyeon. All he wanted was Seungyeon to be happy and he was the only one who knew how much Seungyeon liked Woohyun, so he didn't want to interfere. Even though deep inside Jonghyun just wished to be together with Seungyeon and was suffering just as much that Seungyeon didn't know about his feelings.

"Are you okay?" he asked gently placing his hand on Seungyeon's shoulder.

Seungyeon nodded slightly and stared at the guy and girl who were now dancing. They aren't dating yet, she just promised to go out on one date.

That doesn't mean anything right? she thought.

Jonghyun glanced at Donghae and Jihyun who were cuddling together in the corner.

There's couples everywhere.. I must get Seungyeon's mind on something else. He thought looking back at Seungyeon.
Jonghyun looked around. His eyes landed on a poster on the wall.

Dancing contest. Couple and Individuals welcome. Contest starts nightly at 9pm. Sign up at the DJ booth.

Jonghyun looked at his cell phone for the time. 8:45pm. Perfect.

"Seungyeon, come with me." Jonghyun pulled Seungyeon off her seat.
"Wait. What is it?" Seungyeon said as Jonghyun pulled her through the crowd people.
"Want to try?" Jonghyun pointed to the poster.

Seungyeon thought for a moment. It'll get my mind off him, so why not.

"Sure. What category? Solo or... together?" Seungyeon looked at Jonghyun.
"You're choice. We don't have a choreography though, so if you couple it'll be all improv. Is that okay?" Jonghyun looked at Seungyeon.
"Sure, why not." Seungyeon said.

Jonghyun held Seungyeon's hand as they made their way to the DJ booth.

"Here for the contest?" The DJ looked at up from his equipment. "Jonghyun? Is that you?"
"Yoseob?" Jonghyun recognized the DJ. "You work here?"
"Yeah part time. So you're dancing huh? With her?" Yoseob pointed to Seungyeon.
"Yeah we are. This is Seungyeon." Jonghyun introduced Seungyeon. "We haven't decided on solo or individual yet."
"Well the couple dances are filled up. We only have an opening for one male and one female dancer in the solo division. Is that okay?" Yoseob looked at the two.

Seungyeon shrugged.

"I'll take that as a yes." Yoseob put their name on the list. "You guys dance in about an half an hour after the couple division. Females first then males after. Winner gets headphones as a prize."
"Okay thanks." Jonghyun smiled.
"I'll put on some good beats for you." Yoseob winked then went back to DJing.
"You ready." Jonghyun winked at Seungyeon.
"I guess." Seungyeon shrugged looking up where some couples were getting ready to dance.

"I know you will do great." Jonghyun smiled. He couldn't wait to see Seungyeon dance. She is going to look gorgeous up there.. he thought to himself as he glanced at Seungyeon.

Time passed and it was soon Seungyeon's turn to go up.

"Hwaiting!!!" Jonghyun cheered for her.
"Oh, Seungyeon is going to dance! Go Seungyeon!" Suddenly Woohyun walked beside Jonghyun and cheered for her too, the girl was holding his hand smiling at Seungyeon too.

Seungyeon glanced at them and swallowed her bitterness when she saw them again and walked up to the stage.

Just forget about everything... and just dance. She told herself then heard the DJ annoucing her name.

"Next in women’s solo dances we have Han Seung Yeon!!"

Seungyeon took a deep breath and took her starting pose.

As soon as the music started she began to dance. She danced with all her might, trying to forget about what had happened that day. There was only her and the music now.

Seungyeon did her finishing pose and looked towards the crowd panting from all the dancing. She bowed and left the stage.

"That was awesome Seungyeon!" Woohyun beside Jonghyun exclaimed and tapped Seungyeon's shoulder.
"Thanks.." Seungyeon said silently and glanced at the girl beside him.

"Umm.. I think I need some fresh air. Jonghyun, your dance will be like in 15 minutes right? I'll come back and watch you dance... " Seungyeon said and headed up to the club roof. She didn't want to see Woohyun this close with the girl just yet.

Jonghyun went to the side of the stage. He took a deep breath and looked at Doojoon. Doojoon gave him a thumbs up. Jonghyun nodded his head.

"Next up and our last male dancer is... Kim Jonghyun!!!!" Doojoon yelled into the mic.

The crowd went wild as Jonghyun took his spot on stage. Jonghyun scanned the area for Seungyeon, but she was no where to be found. He sighed then quickly put on a confident, arrogant face before the music started. Soon a remix of SNSD's Genie and SHINee's Juliette played, Jonghyun began to dance a powerful dance. Then the song remixed into Shinhwa's Wild Eyes and Jonghyun pulled out a stool from the side of the stage. He let the music take over his body and began to dance a y chair dance.

As the song came to an end Jonghyun finished his last move. He scanned the crowd again for Seungyeon, this time he found her in the front of the stage. She was giving him a forced smile and clapping.

Jonghyun quickly bowed to the audience before jumping off the stage and landing next to Seungyeon. "How was is?"
"It was awesome. You'll definitely win." Seungyeon nudged Jonghyun's shoulder.
"I hope we both win." Jonghyun smiled and placed his arm around her shoulder.

The crowd began to settle down as Yoseob spoke into the mic. "How was those dance moves by all those performers?" The crowd screamed. "Well the votes are in an the winners are... for the couple division... Nichkhun and Victoria!!!!"

Seungyeon looked down sadly for a moment, but immediately looked up and clapped.

"It's okay. I thought you were the best." Jonghyun whispered into her ear then clapped like he said nothing to her.

Seungyeon looked at Jonghyun. Did he just compliment me?

"Alright for the last winner. The best male dancer is... Jonghyun!!!!"

"Congratulations!!" Seungyeon cheered and pushed him upstage.
Jonghyun ran up and shook hands with Yoseob. "You did great. I told you I'd give you a good beat."
"Thanks man." Jonghyun smiled and took the headphones from Yoseob.

Jonghyun ran back down to Seungyeon. "Ready to go back to the tables?"

Seungyeon nodded, so they headed back.

"You both did great!!" Everyone at the table complimented.
"You were awesome Seungyeon." Woohyun hugged Seungyeon.
"Thanks." Seungyeon blushed.

Suddenly the girl he just hooked up with pushed herself between Seungyeon and Woohyun.

"Can we continue to dance? I really like how close we were earlier." She winked.
"Really?" Woohyun stepped closer to the girl.

The girl giggled as they began to dance right in front of the table and everyone, not bothering to go to the dance floor. The two of them began to compliment each other's dancing and good looking features.

Seungyeon looked at Woohyun with the girl and began to feel sad. Jonghyun watched the scene and began to feel sick. Jonghyun noticed Seungyeon looking sadly at Woohyun, so he walked behind her and put his sunglasses on her then put the headphone he had just won over her ears. Jonghyun walked away casually to the dance floor.

Seungyeon stared after Jonghyun surprised but felt thankful that he had done that to her. She was greatful to have a friend like Jonghyun.

She attached the headphones to her i-pod and put the volume up so she couldn't hear anything.

Secretly under the sunglasses she let her tears fall.
