Krystal bit her lip and leaned into Doojoon. Aaron squeezed Ariel's hand. Joon glanced at Vikki as Yama-chan and Mirai glanced at each other.

 

"Ehem." Miura put his arms over Keiko and Jong Suk. "As much as we'd love to watch you two kiss and act romantic, there are single people and coupled people alike here that are extremely jealous of you two right now. I happen to be one of them."

"Hey you stole me lines. I'm supposed to be the mood killer." Joon lightly pushed Miura.

 

The room was suddenly filled with laughter. Jong Suk was thankful for Miura to bring the mood back to normal. The mood was just too romantic for Jong Suk to handle since his small flame of hope for Jonghyun was slowly extinguishing.

 

"So anyways what are you guys doing here?" Seungyeon asked.

"We're participating in the 2011 Global Model's Collection." Vikki answered.

"It's being hosted in Korea and we were invited to walk the runway." Keiko said.

"You were invited too, but they gave the invitation to Jong Suk because... yeah." Joon smiled trying to cover his mistake of words.

"It's okay Joon, you can say it. I'm not in denial." Jonghyun told him. "So when's the show?"

"It's in two weeks." Yama-chan replied.

"It's actually too soon because we haven't had time to see all of Korea yet." Mirai said.

"I'd love to take you around, but doctor told me not to stress myself, so you'll have to deal with Jong Suk or Joon taking you around." Seungyeon gave a small frowned.

"I trust Jong Suk, but not Joon. He nearly got us lost on the way to the hotel." Vikki glared at Joon.

"Sowy." Jong gave a meek smiled.

 

Vikki rolled her eyes as everyone laughed. Suddenly Key burst into the room.

 

"Jonghyun- Who's these people?" Key asked making his way to Jonghyun.

"These are our friend's we met in Italy." Jonghyun replied.

 

He introduced Key to them and them to Key.

 

"Well the doctor's said it's time for your session, so you need to go." Key told him.

"Alright. Boring medicine time. I'll be back stay here." Jonghyun told them.

 

He got off his bed and into a wheel chair. Key rolled him away leaving Seungyeon and the other alone in the room.

As Key dropped off Jonghyun a nurse approached him.

 

"Excuse me." The nurse started. "We'll be moving Jonghyun onto a new treatment today, so it's advised that he gets lots of rest for the next week or so until his body adjusts to the treatment. Since today is the first day he will be extremely tired and sick, so let him rest. Thank you."

"Thank you." Key bowed slowly made his way back to Jonghyun's room.

A few months had passed from the day Jonghyun had proposed to Seungyeon.

 

Because of the new treatments Jonghyun had started, he felt really exhausted and weak almost every day.

 

Seungyeon felt really worried about Jonghyun but she tried not to show that to Jonghyun. It was about time for Seungyeon to give birth soon and Seungyeon felt a little bit afraid to give birth because of the pain. So she was really stressed out inside because of Jonghyun and the labor she should soon face.

 

One rainy monday morning Seungyeon came to see Jonghyun again. She had had this really uncomfortable feeling since last night.

 

"Morning.." Seungyeon smiled a little bit as she walked in his room. "Hey~ Jonghyun smiled but soon his expression turned into a frown of worry. He could see Seungyeon wasn't okay.

"Are you okay?" Jonghyun asked.

"Yeah... i'm fine..." Seungyeon tried to put on a smile and looked out the window, she breathed in deeply trying to feel better as she could feel the pain she felt getting bigger and bigger.

 

"But you... are you sure?" Jonghyun got up his bed worried and placed his hand gently on Seungyeon's stomach. Seungyeon took one deep breath. She felt like she couldn't take the pain any longer. "I need to go to the toilet." she cried out silently and rushed out the room. Jonghyun followed Seungyeon out the room and watched how she made her way to the toilets.

 

As Jonghyun was standing in the hallway he suddenly saw a familiar figure walking to him. It was Woohyun.

Woohyun looked at Jonghyun and nodded his head to him. Jonghyun nodded back at him. It had been months he had seen Woohyun last time, now he had finally came to see Jonghyun again.

 

"Hey.." Woohyun said silently.

"Hi. Long time no see." Jonghyun said. Woohyun nodded. Somehow it felt awkward between them after what had happened a few months ago.

"I just thought I'd come see how you are doing.." Woohyun said.

"You are happy with Seungyeon right?"

"Yeah, I am. What about you, what have you been up to? No drugs, I hope.." Jonghyun asked.

"Well.. I.. nothing special. But no drugs, don't worry. I've learnt my lesson about all that.. I won't go to drugs anymore." Woohyun said.

 

"That's good.." Jonghyun patted Woohyun's back. "It's good to see you."

"Seungyeon.. how is she?" Woohyun asked but just then they saw how Seungyeon walked towards them. She was staggering from side to side holding her stomach in pain. She looked really pale and was shaking.

 

Both Jonghyun's and Woohyun's eyes widened and they ran to Seungyeon

 

"What's wrong?!" Jonghyun exclaimed in panic and held Seungyeon tightly. Seungyeon lifted up her head and now noticed Woohyun there too.

"Oh Woohyun..." she tried to smile but all she could think about was the pain .

"Seungyeon.. where does it hurt?!" Woohyun asked just as worried as Jonghyun.

 

Seungyeon stared at the two guys in front of her, the pain was getting unbearable for her, suddenly all she could see was blurry figures moving in front of her asking her something she couldn't hear.

 

Seungyeon collapsed on the floor.

 

"SEUNGYEON!!!" Jonghyun and Woohyun shouted in unison.

"I'll get a doctor!" Woohyun ran away to get a doctor. Jonghyun crouched down in panic and tried shaking Seungyeon. "Seungyeon!!"

There was no response. "Seungyeon!!!"

 

Soon the doctor ran there with nurses, they quickly took Seungyeon and took her somewhere.

Jonghyun and Woohyun followed them.

"She must be okay, she must be okay.." Jonghyun mumbled as he ran.

Please let Seungyeon be okay. Woohyun also prayed in his mind.

 

"You wait here.And Jonghyun, you should go rest." the doctor told Woohyun and Jonghyun closing the door.

 

"Rest?! How does he expect that I can rest when something like this happens!!" Jonghyun exclaimed staring at the closed door.

"If something happens to her... I don't know what to do." Jonghyun cried out. "What is --wrong with her.. she..." all of a sudden Jonghyun felt really weak, he felt cold sweat on his forehead.

 

"Seungyon.. she must....be .. okay..she.... I.." Jonghyun whispered. He tried to stand still but even before he realized he fell unconcious. Woohyun was fast enough to prevent him from falling on the floor, he caught him in his arms.

"Yah!!! Jonghyun!! What's the matter!! Jonghyun!!" Woohyun shouted trying to shake Jonghyun.

 

Oh no.. not Jonghyun too! Woohyun looked around. "DOCTOR!!" he yelled holding the unconcious Jonghyun.

Doctors arrived and took Jonghyun from Woohyun. They brought him back to his room.

 

"Wait out here please." A nurse pushed Woohyun outside.

 

Woohyun watched through the window as nurses bustled around in Jonghyun's room. Suddenly another nurse ran past Woohyun, nearly knocking him over. He suddenly remembered Seungyeon was also in trouble.

 

In panic Woohyun took out his phone with his shaky hands. He tried to dial Donghae's number, but failed. After a few attempts he gave up and scrolled down his address book.

 

"Donghae help." Woohyun panicked into the phone. "Seungyeon fainted and I-I-I Jonghyun fainted and I-"

"Speak slowly and stay calm I can't understand you." Donghae stopped Woohyun's muttering. "Say it again slowly."

"I went to visit Jonghyun, and Seungyeon collapsed. Jonghyun and I followed her to the emergency room then Jonghyun collapsed." Woohyun explained relatively fast, but enough for Donghae to understand. "I'm scared and I don't know what to do."

"Stay by Jonghyun's room. I'll meet you there." Donghae said. "Also breathe. I don't want you fainting too."

 

Woohyun took a deep breath and hung up the phone. He spotted a bench right outside Jonghyun's room and sat down. He tapped his foot and played with his hands as he impatiently waited for Donghae to come. Every second felt like an hour.

"Woohyun where's Jonghyun?" Key ran to Woohyun with Donghae, Jihyun, and Jong Suk trailing behind.

"Inside. I don't know." Woohyun pointed to Jonghyun's room.

 

Key ran up to the room and looked inside. Jong Suk also went by the door.

 

Meanwhile Jihyun grabbed Woohyun's shoulder. "Seungyeon? Where is she?"

 

Woohyun glanced at Jonghyun's room before leading Donghae and Jihyun to the emergency room Seungyeon was brought too. The light was light up saying no one could enter. They sat down on the bench and waited for someone to go in the room or come out and explain what was happening.

Jonghyun opened his eyes and saw nurses and doctors bustling around his room and hovering over him.

 

"Doctor he's awake." One of the nurses noticed.

 

The doctor quickly checked that Jonghyun was normal. After getting a sign from the doctor that he was fine. Jonghyun sat up.

 

"What are you doing? You need to lay down and rest." The doctor attempted to lay him down.

"No she's in trouble. I need to go." Jonghyun protested.

"Jonghyun, you-"

"Do you have a wife and kids?" Jonghyun asked the doctor.

 

The doctor nodded.

 

"Well I don't have either, but my fiancee is pregnant, about to give birth to my kid any time. She just fainted. I may be sick, but I still care about her and I want to know if she's fine and I want to be there for her. What if your wife pregnant, about about to have you kid and she fainted? What would you do?" Jonghyun asked.

The doctor stood silent for a moment before replying. "I'd do the same thing you're going."

"Exactly, now let me see my fiancee." Jongyun exclaimed.

"Alright, but you need to use a wheelchair and come back right after." The doctor warned.

"Thank you."

 

Jonghyun got into his wheelchair and the nurses opened the door for him. Key and Jong Suk ran up to him in worry.

 

"Jonghyun are you okay?" "Do you need anything?" "What happened?" Key and Jong Suk pounded him with questions.

 

"I'm fine I was just stressed. Let's go see Seungyeon now." Jonghyun rolled himself over to the emergency room where Seungyeon was.

 

"Jonghyun!!" Woohyun, Jihyun and Donghae got up from the bench they had been sitting at when they saw him coming.

"Are you okay?" Donghae frowned.

"You scared me to death." Woohyun said.

 

"Don't worry about me. I want to see Seungyeon." Jonghyun said and tried to enter the emergency room. But as soon as he opened the door he was blocked by a nurse. "Please wait outside."

"No! I need to see her!" Jonghyun snapped.

 

"You must stay outside for now. I'm sorry. We will let you know when you can see her." the nurse told Jonghyun and closed the door.

 

Jonghyun hit the wall frustrated and put his head down on his hands.

Woohyun looked at Jonghyun and walked to him, he placed his hand on his shoulder. "Don't stress yourself too much. Jonghyun... you must be there to take care of Seungyeon and the baby. So calm down and wait, I don't want anything to happen to you anymore.."

 

"Yeah, at least they let you come this far to wait for her. You don't have to stay in your room." Jong Suk said.

They had waited there for hours, all really worried about Seungyeon.

Jonghyun was resting his head on Jong Suk's shoulder staring at the door.

 

Woohyun was playing with his fingers and mumbling by himself. Key was playing with his phone and Jihyun and Donghae were talking together silently.

 

Every time a nurse walked out the room, they all were hoping to hear some good news but at the same they were afraid that they would hear bad news.

 

Around 8pm they all suddenly heard a scream from the emergency room. They all felt shivers hearing that scream, it sounded really desperate, like an animal was being tortured- That scream lasted for a moment then it became dead silent.

 

No one dared to say anything.

 

Jonghyun stared at the door shocked. His whole face went pale. "SEUNGYEON!!" he yelled and stood up trying to get inside but was pushed away by a nurse who ran somewhere.

"What is going on?! Is she okay?" Woohyun got up stopping the nurse.

"Just wait please." the nurse said and rushed away.

 

"Come here and sit. We need to wait." Key said dragging Jonghyun back on his wheelchair.

"WAIT WAIT WAIT!! We have been waiting for the whole day and they won't say anything!!!!" Jonghyun cried out.

"We will find out what happened soon..." Jong Suk Jonghyun's back gently.

"Listen.." Jihyun said.

They all stopped talking. Soon they heard a baby crying inside the room.

 

"I think your kid just said hello to us." Donghae smiled.

"My .. kid..." Jonghyun looked at the door. Everyone started feeling more hopeful now when they heard that.

 

After a few moments the door of the emergency room finally opened. A doctor came out.

The doctor walked to Jonghyun and placed his hand on his shoulder.

Jonghyun stared at him hoping for the best.

 

"I'm happy to tell you that, you are now a father of a healthy baby boy." the doctor smiled and patted his shoulder.

"A-a baby boy.." Jonghyun repeated the doctor's words. A smile slowly started spreading on his face as he thought about having a child. "Then.. Seungyeon, she is fine too right?"

 

The doctor turned his head away from Jonghyun, he didn't dare to look him in the eyes. "About that..." he said solemnly.

"About that what??!! She is okay right?!" Jonghyun grabbed his arm.

 

"About her.. we are not sure yet...she.." the doctor said.

"Not sure yet?! What do you mean by that?!!" Jonghyun yelled.

"She is okay right?!" Woohyun yelled too.

"Jonghyun, Woohyun.. let him finish what he is saying." Donghae said.

Both Woohyun and Jonghyun shut their mouths to listen.

 

The doctor sighed."Seungyeon is not in a good condition right now. The labor took a lot of strength from her and on top of that she's had a high fever since yesterday. Having to go through labor this difficult while she was sick, it really is not good. She is not in a good condition. I'm really sorry to tell you this but... we are not sure if she will survive through the night. But if she does survive this night, she will probably be okay.... but you must prepare yourself for the worst. I can't promise you anything..."

 

Everyone stared at the doctor shocked.

 

"Wh-wh-what did you just say doctor.. no..." Jonghyun shook his head.

 

"Can we go see her now.. and the baby?" Jihyun asked.

The doctor nodded.

Everyone went inside the room.

 

They saw Seungyeon on the bed with her eyes closed.

"She is sleeping, try not to wake her up." the doctor said.

 

Jonghyun rolled his wheelchair to her bed slowly. It really broke his heart to see her in that kind of state.

"Seungyeon..." Woohyun whispered, he felt tears in his eyes as he watched her.

Jonghyun took Seungyeon's hand in his and squeezed it gently.

 

"Here. Your son." a nurse walked to Jonghyun with the baby in her arms. Jonghyun lifted his head up.

"Do you want to hold him?" the nurse asked.

Jonghyun nodded. The nurse carefully handed the baby to Jonghyun.

 

Jonghyun stared at his son's face amazed. He touched his fingers gently. He then glanced at Seungyeon. "Seungyeon, you must wake up soon. Our baby.. I didn't know he would have this many wrinkles.. but he is so beautiful.. you must see him. Our son." Jonghyun said gently.

 

"How come he is so wrinkled?" Woohyun chuckled seeing the baby too.

"All babies who were just born are like that at first." Jihyun chuckled.

"Aigoo... so this is mini Jonghyun." Donghae giggled touching the baby's head gently.

"He is going to be handsome, I can tell. Just like his father." Jong Suk said.

"So this means, i'm an uncle now huh?" Key said.

"Yeah, uncle Key." Jonghyun smiled.

 

Seeing the baby had made them all forget about Seungyeon's state for a moment.

 

"If you don't mind. I will take him for a few check ups for a moment." the nurse interrupted them.

Jonghyun nodded and gave his baby to the nurse. "Take good care of him." Jonghyun said gently. All his father instincts had woke up when he had seen the baby.

The nurse smiled and nodded then took the baby away.

 

Woohyun stared at the nurse who was walking away with the baby. He couldn't help but feel a little sting in his heart as he thought that he could have become like a father to that child if things had worked out with Seungyeon.

 

Jonghyun turned to Seungyeon again. He her hair gently.

"You must be okay. Our son needs you. I need you. All your friends need you. So please be okay... if someone has to go first, it must be me.. not you Seungyeon.. it can't be you. " Jonghyun said silently. "Don't leave me."

 

Slowly tears fell down his cheeks on Seungyeon's hand he was holding tightly.

 

Donghae was holding Jihyun who was also crying.

 

Woohyun watched Jonghyun and Seungyeon. His tears were rolling down his cheeks too, he rushed to the bed and kneeled down on the floor, he put his head down on the bed and cried.
