Author’s POV…

“YG said Hoku just landed.” Top whispered over to Jiyong whose eyes shot open and over to him.

“Why? What is she doing here?” Jiyong asked frantic as they sat in YG’s Japan office.

“She insisted on coming here to help Seungri.” Top added as Jiyong sighed massaging his forehead.

“What the hell is she thinking? It’s dangerous.” Jiyong whined annoyed looking around the room to their Japanese publicists.

“Her dad has many friends here that are helping; she’s out there right now.” Top added before Jiyong growled.

“I need to leave.” He announced standing up as everyone looked to him confused.

“What? Where?” Daesung asked confused as Jiyong pulled his coat on.

“I have to be somewhere important.” Jiyong mentioned in monotone before walking out of the room.

Stephanie at the meantime was calling around to her family and friends in the area. She was lucky enough to find one of her uncles, was the head chief at the local Police Department. Things were looking good on her end.

Hoku held Seungri into her arms as long as he needed it. By now, they were sitting on the couch, Seungri lying in Hoku’s lap as she comforted him.

“Seungri, I need you to calm down long enough to explain to me some things, think you can do that for me?” Hoku asked carefully helping him up to sit before he nodded, still sniffling as she handed him a tissue.

“I’m going to help you alright.” Hoku added rubbing his back in slow motions before he nodded.

“I’m going to make it all better; I’ll take care of everything so you won’t hurt anymore.” Hoku sighed leaning her head to rest on his shoulder.

“Now tell noona, what happened?” Hoku asked as Seungri sighed before standing up, causing Hoku to fall to the couch cushions in surprise.

“Noona, I don’t know what happened, that’s the thing.” He whined looking to her with his blood shot eyes.

“I went to a bar last night somewhere in town, had a couple drinks, then I woke up here with pictures on my bed and a message.” He offered as Hoku’s eyes shot open.

“Photos? Message?” She asked as he nodded.

“Show me.” She pushed as he led her into the suites bedroom pointing at the mirror that had a clear message across written in what looked to be lipstick.

“Here’s the pictures.” He handed her a towel wrapped folded up.

“I was too afraid to touch them.” He whispered as Hoku nodded hesitantly opening it to see the same photos that she had seen in the newspaper, a few extra that were overly for her taste.

“erted bastard.” Hoku whispered before looking to the message on the mirror, that was smudged in some areas.

“I don’t know what it says noona. I tried to read it but some of the letters are too smudged.” Seungri pointed out as Hoku looked at the message seriously.

“It’s like a brain teaser.” Hoku whispered taking a seat on one of the chairs in the room, staring at the mirror.

“Noona, what are we going to do?” Seungri said through tears as Hoku tilted her head to the side before looking to him.

“My father has many friends in high places here, I’m waiting for one of them to call with any info.” Hoku explained as he gasped.

“Noona, said I would take care of it, right? I won’t let you get hurt Seungri.” Hoku pointed out before Seungri smiled, running over and hugging her from behind.

“Noona, Hyung is a lucky man to have someone like you.” He whispered as two things clicked in her head.

“Ya! Your breath.” She snapped as he pulled away holding a hand over his mouth.

“Sorry, morning breath, haven’t had the time to brush my teeth.” He explained embarrassed before Hoku shook her head and ran over to him, grabbing his jaw forcefully.

“Noona, what’s wrong?” He asked confused as she looked at his lips.

“Seungri, you said you drank last night?” she asked as he nodded confused.

“You’re breath doesn’t smell anything like alcohol.” She mentioned as Mr. Kim looked on in surprise.

“Are you sure you drank?” She asked again pulling away before he nodded.

“I was at a bar for a while, I’m sure I drank some.” He mumbled before she squinted her eyes back to the mirror.

“Lucky guy.” She whispered in thought walking over to the mirror before smirking.

“What is it noona?” Seungri asked walking to stand next to him.

“Nice meeting you Lucky Guy last night, I had fun <3!” Hoku whispered reading the message confused with the way it sounded.

“It sounds like it’s missing a few words.” Mr. Kim pointed out as Hoku nodded going through the message in her head again.

“This word here is too smudged up to read though.” Seungri pointed at the word that was missing.

“Something’s fishy.” Hoku said looking to the photos in her lap before looking to the message. Over and over again she sat there quietly before her phone began ringing.

“Hello?” She answered not even looking to the ID as she stared at the message.

“Ah yes, this is she.” She answered suddenly respectfully.

“Ah yes, he’s my father.” She answered as Seungri and Mr. Kim walked over.

“Ah, is that right? I understand, thank you. I will go to them now.” Hoku added before hanging up and standing up.

“What’s going on noona?” Seungri asked hesitantly as Hoku smirked. She walked over to the mirror, putting her finger on the smudged part, before writing in one word.

“At Lucky Guy. Lucky guy is a rave club downtown. Seungri did you go to club too?” Hoku asked as she turned to the two surprised men before Seungri shook his head.

“I only remember till the bar.” He said holding his head frustrated before another call came. She sighed quickly answering it.

“Yes, this is she. Ah yes, he doesn’t remember anything. Symptoms? Hold on.” Hoku mentioned before looking to Seungri.

“This is one of my father’s friends; he’s a CSI medical worker here in the city. He needs to know if you have been experiencing any time of unknown or unusual symptoms this morning?” Hoku asked as Seungri looked to Mr. Kim then back to her.

“My stomach almost feels like it’s cramping, I never cramp. My throat almost feels like its burning. I have a headache; I’ve been using the bathroom a lot.” He admitted before I nodded explaining it to the man on the phone.

“Also he claims he drank last night, but I don’t’ find any trace of alcohol on his breath.” Hoku asked before her eyes shot open.

“Really? Now? Alright, I will. Thank you for your help.” Hoku said before hanging up frantic.

“Seungri, you need to get dressed right now. We need to get you to the hospital immediately.” Hoku explained as Seungri’s eyes shot open.

“Mr. Kim, get the van, we’ll meet you out front.” Hoku said pushing Seungri into the room to put his clothes from last night back on.

“Noona, what’s going on? Why are we going to the hospital?” he asked confused as Hoku began to frantically throw clothes towards him.

“You’ve been poisoned. It’s a drug used to knock out the victim so that the culprit can do things to the unconscious person. But the after effects end with bladder infection, plus, it’s slowly burning your vocal cords.” Hoku yelled as Seungri’s eyes shot open.

“Noona.” Seungri begged as Hoku began dragging him out of the room. There was no way she was going to let this man lose the one thing he needed to sing. Singing was his dream, and no one was about to crush it.
