After the tiny incident this morning, Hoku had grown quiet. She didn’t know how she should react to him lying about who was on the phone. Was it really nothing that he had to make up an excuse? She wanted to shrug it off as nothing but something was seriously eating her up inside.

“Well it’s about time.” Top groaned seeing the couple finally exiting the hotel to their van.

“Ya! Do you know how hard it is to wake a rock?” Hoku retorted gesturing over her shoulder to the newly awaken star.

“Yes we do noona.” Seungri mentioned back as Hoku climbed into the front seat.

“Next time, one of you wakes him up.” Hoku mumbled under her breath annoyed.

“Oh by the way, this is our driver Kyung. Kyung this is the head coordinator of the US Team and our translator while we’re promoting.” Daesung introduced as I smiled and bowed my head to the driver. Hoku was silent through the whole ride to the Japanese Studio where they would be making their first appearance for promotions.

“Hyung, did you do something?” Seungri whispered over to an oblivious Jiyong.

“No, why?” Jiyong asked over as Taeyang nudged his friend’s side before gesturing over to the silent girl in the front seat.

“She’s never this quiet.” Daesung pointed out as the other members nodded in agreement.

“Nothing happened if that’s what you’re trying to get at.” Jiyong mentioned narrowing his eyes to the fellas.

“Oh, but I do have to tell you something.” Jiyong said suddenly serious as the guys turned their full attention to him.

“She keeps trying to get me to call her.” He mentioned as all 4 pairs of eyes shot open.

“Her?” Top asked arching his eyebrows.

“You mean, the ‘her’ none of us can stand?” Taeyang asked through his teeth as Jiyong nodded.

“What the hell does she want?” Daesung spat in a whisper while Jiyong shrugged before handing them his phone.

“Did Hoku noona see it?” Seungri asked worried before Jiyong quickly shook his head, positive of his answer.

“I grabbed the phone before she could see what it was. I told her it was YG.” Jiyong whispered as the guys looked to each other and then to him.

“Hyung, you should at least tell her who she really was.” Daesung whispered worried as Jiyong sighed.

“I can’t.” Jiyong whispered looking to his lap.

“Why not bro?” Taeyang asked as Jiyong looked up to his worried friends.

“It’s better to tell her now, then for her to find out you were lying all this time.” TOP explained before seeing that they were pulling up on the studio. Hoku was the first to climb out and welcomed by security.

“Are you the team here with Big Bang?” the man asked as Hoku smiled and nodded.

“I’ll be their translator today, I’m Hoku Fernandez.” Hoku introduced bowing as the man followed suit.

“We should get them inside, quickly.” The man suggested as Hoku nodded before opening the back door.

“He said it would be smart to get you guys in quickly.” Hoku explained to the members who in turn nodded and hopped out. Sure enough the parking lot was now full of screaming Japanese fans.

“Damn, they move fast.” Hoku muttered as the group was quickly escorted inside to a makeup room where Big Bang’s make up and stylists were all waiting to make them gorgeous. Hoku sighed, plopping down on the free couch suddenly feeling exhausted.

“Excuse me?” A voice called out in the busy room as Hoku turned to the open door to see a small Japanese woman peeking in. Hoku noticed no one had noticed or heard her and decided to step in.

“Can I help you?” Hoku asked walking over as the woman bowed.

“I’m Ayame, are you Big Bang’s translator?” she asked as Hoku nodded.

“I’m Hoku Fernandez, it’s nice to meet you.” Hoku introduced as the woman smiled.

“We have a script for today’s show that the hosts will be asking the guys, would you like to look through it to make sure you understand?” She offered holding out a small stack of papers stapled together.

“Ah yes, thank you.” Hoku said taking as the woman nodded.

“We also have a special guest on the show today, that still has yet to arrive but when she does, she’ll be seated alongside Big Bang.” She explained as I hesitantly nodded being too in to the story.

“The producer also told me to let you know, that Big Bang will go on first, then you can walk in and sit behind them in the seat offered.” She explained as I nodded in understanding before she left.

“Is everything ok?” A voice asked as I shut the door and looked over to see TOP oppa looking at me worried.

“Oh yah, peachy keen.” I explained before he chuckled.

“American quote?” He asked gesturing to my line causing me to laugh and nod. She took a seat back onto the couch with the script in her hand, it took her a while to understand the Japanese after a long time of not studying it, but it soon became easy enough.

“Having trouble?” A voice asked as the couch shifted. From the heavy cologne and proud smirk she felt, she knew who it was.

“Nope, still got it.” Hoku bragged looking up to the maknae.

“How did you learn to read and speak Japanese noona?” He asked as she sat back and smiled.

“I took it along with Korean for a few years in High School.” She explained as Seungri looked away nodding.

“I’m still learning, so I’m not that good yet.” He added causing her to smirk.

“Maybe when we both have time, I could tutor you a bit, that’s if you’re interested.” She offered before his head quickly whipped over to her.

“Really noona? You’d teach me?” He asked excited causing her to laugh and nod.

“Sure, why not? I’m teaching Selena Korean on our off time.” Hoku explained as Seungri eagerly nodded before his smile disappeared.

“Noona?” He asked with a sudden tone change causing her to look over from the script.

“What’s wrong?” She asked worried as Seungri sighed.

“Will Selena have to go back home soon?” He asked looking at her as Hoku smiled.

“I’m sure she’ll want to stay, but she’ll have to find a job and her own apartment. YG isn’t going to pay for it once she’s off pay role.” Hoku explained as Seungri nodded.

“You really want her to stay, don’t you?” Hoku asked over smirking before Seungri sighed and nodded.
“It’s just like you and hyung, noona. He doesn’t want you to leave either.” Seungri pointed out before Hoku laughed and nodded, looking over to Jiyong sitting in the makeup seat.

“If she’s anything like me, as long as you don’t give her a reason for leaving, she won’t.” Hoku explained before Seungri nodded.

“Did you and Hyung get into a fight this morning?” He suddenly asked as Hoku looked over surprised.

“A fight?” She asked confused as he nodded concerned.

“You were really quiet after we left the hotel so we thought you guys had an argument.” He explained as Hoku remembered what had happened this morning.

“Oh no, nothing like that. I was just a bit moody this morning, didn’t get enough sleep last night.” Hoku explained as Seungri nodded before turning his attention to his Hyung.

“Show Time!” A voice yelled into the room as Hoku and Seungri stood up.

“Come on guys, they said show time.” Hoku informed taking off her coat to leave her in her long sleeve cashmere sweater. The guys all nodded now dressed in similar costumes they had on for their Fantastic Baby, hair styled to perfection. Hoku followed them out the door and down the hall to where they could hear the crowd screaming.

“You guys are performing ‘Fantastic Baby’ first.” Hoku mentioned up as the guys nodded holding their mics in their hands. Hoku smiled holding the script to her chest before they arrived backstage.

“I’ll join you guys after you’re done.” Hoku mentioned forward as the guys nodded. Hoku took a step back as Big Bang was set up on a turning platform that would take them straight out to the crowd waiting on the other side. Hoku gave them all a thumbs up with the exception of Jiyong’s wink to her. She blushed, clearing before she quickly looked away. Soon enough the music started while the crowd screamed, the platform turned slowly, showing Big Bang singing. Hoku smiled proudly to them, making her way to the area they wanted her to enter from before she noticed a beautiful woman, dressed to impress backstage.

“Wonder if that’s the other guest?” She whispered turning her attention back to the crowd as Big Bang was seated in their chairs. Hoku quickly snuck up behind them, and took a seat behind the guys and out of sight, being offered a mic from one of the stage employees.

“Today we’re lucky enough to have the largely popular Kpop group, Big Bang!” the host announced as the crowd screamed and Big Bang bowed their heads.

“Can we ask each of you to introduce yourselves to the crowd?” The host asked as she leaned forward to translate to the members that didn’t quite understand.

“He wants you to introduce yourselves.” Hoku explained as they nodded. One by one they introduced themselves in rehearsed Japanese to the crowd, accepting the various screams they got before the hosts began again.

“Big Bang brought in 3 sold out concerts this weekend, who went?” He asked the crowd as Hoku quickly translated while most of the house raised their hand to the question.

“How was the concert this weekend for you?” He asked the members as Hoku translated the question. Seungri being the one that understood Japanese the most spoke up first.

“As usual when we come to Japan, we don’t put our expectations up, but once the curtain drops and we see the crowd, we’re always taken back by how many fans we have here.” He explained as I chuckled and translated to the others who in turn nodded.

“Big Bang is not traveling alone from what we heard, is that right?” He asked as Hoku translated to the guys who in turn shook their heads.

“We’re also here with our US Fan Club Team.” Taeyang interjected as the man nodded.

“Our translator today is actually the head coordinator from the team.” Seungri added gesturing over to a surprised Hoku.

“Ah, I knew you looked familiar.” The host now said speaking to Hoku who stood up and bowed.

“I’m Hoku Fernandez, it’s nice to meet you.” Hoku introduced herself as the man bowed his head from his seat.

“You are very beautiful.” He pointed out causing Hoku to chuckle and blush, bowing her thanks.

“You and your team are fans of Big Bang, yes?” He asked as Hoku nodded.

“How is it for a fan like yourself, to be traveling with Big Bang?” He asked as Hoku held the mic up to .

“It’s incredible. Never in my life would I have thought I would be this close to them.” Hoku explained into her mic as the man nodded.

“It seems that you’ve also acquired a few anti fans on the road here.” He mentioned as Hoku nervously laughed looking down to the guys seriously expressions.

“A few.” She added jokingly while he laughed.

“Has being attacked by their fans changed the way you perceived them?” He then asked as Hoku immediately shook her head in disagreement.

“If I thought less about them just because one of their fans attacked me, that wouldn’t make me a true fan, right?” Hoku explained as the man smiled and nodded.

“We also have a special guest on the show today, she’s also a huge fan of Big Bang’s.” The host then explained as Hoku sat back down looking at Big Bang’s confused faces.

“She’s growing big in Japan with her current magazine covers; let’s give a warm welcome for Arisa!” The man shouted as Hoku read the horror and disbelief in Big Bang’s eyes. What’s going on?
