Author’s POV…

They all sat around the dinner table at the restaurant following the nights encounter with the team’s first anti-fans. Hoku had to admit being that it was the first time she had faced such hardcore Big Bang fans, she was a little nervous and scared to know how serious these girls were willing to get to get her out of the picture.

“Are you sure you’re ok?” Steph asked over from sitting next to her before Hoku smiled over.

“Of course, it’s just a cut lip, nothing serious.” Hoku explained pointing to the cut that had already stopped bleeding on her lip. Since arriving back at the restaurant, Jiyong has left her side, his hands are always on her thigh or her arm, but he was always touching her somehow. Hoku thought it was an adorable gesture from him.

“Thanks for coming for me.” Steph whispered as Hoku smiled over to her.

“We’re friends right?” Hoku asked as Steph hesitantly nodded.

“We are, and that’s what friends do. I would never leave a friend in that type of situation because of me.” Hoku explained as Steph sighed before nodding.

“And if I saw right, you and Dae got closer right?” Hoku whispered over teasingly gesturing with her eyes to the man sitting next to Steph. Steph just smiled and blushed down to her lap. Soon enough the waiter arrived passing out the ordered drinks to everyone before taking their dinner order. Hoku ordered something simple from the western menu since her stomach was sitting giving her trouble, Clam Chowder with a side salad would be good enough.

“Are you sure you’re alright?” Jiyong whispered over to Hoku as she looked through the desserts. She smiled when she felt his warm breath blow across her bare neck before looking over to his worried eyes.

“Oppa, I’m fine.” Hoku smiled in a whisper as he looked at her seriously.

“You’re seriously never leaving my side, you know that?” He whispered closer causing her to laugh quietly and look around at the preoccupied eyes around the table.

“You should have let me deck that .” Selena spat over the table from behind her soda. Hoku just smiled and looked up to all the worried faces directed at her.

“I always knew it wouldn’t be easy for us to be this close to the guys without their fans saying something about it.” Hoku explained slushing her strawberry smoothie around in her glass.

“So you expected something like this to happen sooner or later?” Taeyang asked over as Hoku smiled up to them.

“I’ve seen it happen on a number of times to other Kpop groups, you’re no different. Your fans love you unconditionally, some more than others as it seems. But it’s alright.” Hoku explained smiling at them as Tyra and Eden nodded in agreement to Hoku’s statement. Before long, the dinner arrived and everyone began eating and chatting amongst themselves.

“So are you a Big Bang fan?” Hoku asked over to Steph holding a napkin over . Steph just laughed and nodded to her newly found friend.

“Anyone else?” Hoku asked interested, secretly holding a hand to her side where those girls had kicked her.

“I also like SHINee and Block B.” She added just as Hoku’s eyes shot open.

“NO WAY! REALLY?” Hoku shouted excitedly, regretting it when the pain shot up her side. She bit her lip and looked around embarrassed by her outburst before looking to Steph.

“You do too?” Steph asked excitedly while Hoku nodded eagerly.

“Who’s your favorite in Block B?” Hoku asked as Steph smiled, Hoku smiling when she noticed both Daesung and Jiyong were listening in closely to their convo.

“P.O.” Both girls said at the same time before they broke out laughing. Hoku could tell that Daesung was growing jealous of where their convo had turned while Jiyong had his hand gripping onto Hoku’s thigh.

“Isn’t his voice just amazing?” Hoku squealed over while Steph laughed and nodded.

“And you can’t forget his stare.” Steph added just as Hoku nodded smiling.

“It’s just like Top oppas, don’t you think?” Hoku whispered as both girls looked to Top who was already looking at them.

“What?” He asked hesitantly seeing the way the two girls were smirking at him.

“Just as handsome too.” Steph whispered causing Hoku to laugh and nod.

“Oh my god, whose your favorite in SHINee then?” Steph asked pointing at her as both girls smiled.

“Taemin.” Both girls said again as they broke out laughing before hugging each other.

“Oh my god, it’s like we were fated to meet.” Steph teased as Hoku laughed and nodded. Hoku smiled inwardly when she finally noticed the tight grip on her thigh while the man sitting next to Steph looked as if he was about to blow a cap.

“Are you guys hiring a translator for Japan?” Steph asked changing the subject as they ate. Hoku laughed with a napkin over before turning to Steph.

“I’m the hired translator.” Hoku mentioned as Steph gasped.

“Really?” She asked surprised as Hoku nodded.

“I can speak Korean and Japanese.” Hoku explained as Steph smiled in wonder.

“Wow, can we get any more ironic?” Steph asked as Hoku looked at her confused.

“You speak too?” Hoku asked as Steph shook her head.

“Chinese.” Steph mentioned as Hoku laughed, still holding her side in slight pain.

“This is beyond awesome.” Hoku whispered still speechless with how much things she had in common with Steph.

Daesung couldn’t handle everything that was happening tonight, Steph almost being attacked before Hoku basically saved her, and now those same two girls were talking about how much they loved other Kpop groups and their biases. It was driving him insane. He wanted to confess his feelings to this girl and make her his, but he was too much of a coward to do so. Sighing in defeat he reached over for the Soju bottle sitting in the middle of the table, poured the entire contents into his glass before chugging it.

“Yo, calm down.” Top said trying to pry the cup out of his hand with no luck. Daesung chugged the entire thing before slamming it onto the table top.

“What’s up with you? You never drink?” Taeyang asked over slightly worried to his friend who just stared down at his hands. The Big Bang members were nervous to see how he would turn out from drinking the most alcohol they ever saw him down in one sitting.

“Is he going to be ok?” Tyra whispered worried as Top shrugged his shoulders also not knowing the answer to that question.

“You know what my problem is.” He suddenly spoke in a serious tone getting everyone’s attentions.

“What?” Jiyong hesitantly answered. Daesung hiccupped and everyone knew what was up, he was drunk off of one cup.

“I like this reaaallllllly pretty girl.” He laughed as Steph watched in interest.

“You do?” Eden asked over interested as he laughed hiccupping before nodding.

“She’s booty-full.” He added slurred causing Hoku and Jiyong to muffle their laughter.

“So you’re drinking cause of her?” Top asked still a bit confused before Daesung’s head rolled towards him.

“Hyuuunnngggg, I can’t talk to her b-because I’m too s-scared.” Daesung whined as the guys all chuckled.

“What a wimp.” Selena teased before Daesung’s head shot off the table to her.

“And what’s your excuse? Seungri not goodddd e-enough for you?” He spat causing her to gasp before blushing when all eyes were on her.

“Bro, why don’t you just talk to this chick?” Jiyong offered before Daesung hit his head on the table a few times before looking up.

“Hyunnggg, I can’t.” he whined throwing his hands up in the air as Top reassuringly patted his back.

“Just try, doesn’t hurt to try and talk to her.” Seungri added before Daesung shot out of his seat and walked over to the opposite balcony.

“What was that about?” Eden asked confused before Hoku smiled over at Jiyong.

“Steph, go check on him.” Hoku offered as Steph’s eyes shot up from her food.

“What?” she asked outraged in a whisper.

“Go talk to him, it’s your chance.” Hoku urged pushing her out of her seat and towards the man. Steph sighed looking to Hoku’s smiling face before nodding. Slowly she walked towards the man leaned over the railing, and stood about 2 feet next to him.

“Are you ok?” Steph asked unsure as what to ask at this point. She saw him smile before looking over to her.

“I like you.” He confessed as her eyes shot open in surprise.

“What?” She asked as he fully turned to her, holding his head.

“Can’t believe the one way I can do this is drunk.” He scolded himself before looking to her.

“I like you, a lot.” He admitted causing her to blush and look away.

“It’s alright if you don’t feel the same way.” He retorted looking away before she spoke.

“I like you too.” She said back as his jaw dropped as he looked to her in shock.

“You do?” He asked as she laughed and nodded. They were able to talk for a while before exchanging numbers, tonight was turning out better than anyone expected.
