Author’s POV…

The sun had set a few minutes ago on the way back to their hotel. Everyone was exhausted, hungry and sandy from the day at the beach. It was quiet through the entire ride before finally they pulled up in front of the seemingly empty hotel.

“I’ll email you the list.” Hoku immediately said over to Steph who in turn nodded in agreement. Everyone climbed out of the van before thanking the tour guide for the day. She smiled and bowed back to the group before finally making her departure for the day.

“I’m so tired.” Someone grumbled in the packed elevator up to their room. Hoku stood there leaning her head against the wall before she felt something touching her hand. She quickly looked over to see Jiyong standing in front of her, trying to pass her a folded piece of paper. She smirked at his adorableness before grabbing the paper from him. Holding it tightly in her hand as the elevator door opened. They scurried over to the door before barging in and into separate directions.

“Noona, wake us up in the morning.” Seungri mumbled walking down the hall to their bedrooms. Hoku stopped midway before looking over her shoulder as Jiyong pointed to his hand. She understood what he wanted and nodded before walking into her bedroom, shutting and locking her door. Plopping down onto her bed she pulled the note out of her dresses pocket and opened it.

Made reservations at the hotel’s restaurant. Meet you there at 9.

She smiled at the note before sitting up and looking around the room.

“First things first, shower.” She said softly walking over to her bathroom, taking a quick shower knowing it was an hour till said meeting time. She put a few random curlers into her hair before walking out, only draped with a towel.

“What should I wear?” She whispered pulling out all her clothes from her suitcase before looking through each of them. After 20 minutes of standing there, she settled on a short, pink, white and blue floral dress, a sliver belt around her waist, and a pair of white wedges to top off the outfit. For the last few minutes before leaving, she applied some simple makeup to her face. She sat there nervously on her bed before curling a stray hair behind her ear.

“Am I ok?” She whispered to herself unsure before sighing.

“I don’t know.” She answered when her phone beeped. Walking over to her purse, she pulled it out seeing the id of the text message.

I’m heading down.

Hoku’s POV….

Was it possible to be so nervous that when the thought finally ran across your mind once more, you froze in your spot, not sure how it was possible? Well it was possible for me anyways, just about to open my room door when it finally hit me. I was about to have dinner, alone, with my ultimate bias, the very person who got me into Kpop in the first place, the person that saved me from myself a year ago, when I needed someone to tell me it would all be alright, it was his songs that I turned to for hope. I felt my body slowly shaking as I looked down to my wedges on my feet. Was this even real? What was this anyways? He asked me to dinner to get to know me, but for what? What was getting to know me getting him in life? Easy lay? Someone to push around? Or was this all real for once in my life? He seemed so perfect, so out of sync with me, but something in me was hesitant about this whole relationship, I didn’t know why. I sighed a breath of fresh air, trying to get rid of that nagging feeling in my stomach before finally my limbs began to move. I peeked out into the hallway, not hearing anything or anyone; I quickly snuck out of the room and to the elevator.
“That was easier than I thought.” I whispered stepping into the open elevator and making my way slowly downstairs. I climbed out into the lobby area and looked around. I didn’t know where the restaurant was but I knew it was somewhere in the hotel. Soon enough I caught one of the bell boys.

“Excuse me?” I called out walking to him, noticing his eyes look me up and down quickly before smiling.

“Yes, can I help you?” He asked as I sighed knowing what that look was.

“Um, I’m looking for the hotel’s restaurant; do you know how I get there?” I asked looking around, hoping I would catch a sign that could just direct me there.

“Oh, let me you.” He offered gesturing towards one of the corridors. I didn’t want to come across as rude so I nodded, faking the perfect smile before walking along with him.

“Date with your boyfriend?” He suddenly asked as I looked over annoyed.

“Um, it’s not like it’s any of your business.” I hissed through a smile causing him to laugh.

“Just wondering where a pretty woman was going tonight is all.” He retorted as I massaged my right temple, if this boy was trying to get where I knew he was, he was losing desperately.

“You look amazing tonight.” He gestured as I pulled a smile on and sighed.

“Thanks.” I mentioned hoping that anything heavenly would save me before I hurt this boy next to me.

“There you are.” A familiar voice spoke as I quickly looked up to see Jiyong dressed simply but fashionable standing in the open door to what seemed to be the restaurant. I smiled at him as he walked over and offered me his arm. I quickly took it, hoping the bellboy would catch a hint, which he did. He looked at the both of us in surprised, bowing before he quickly scurried away.

“Oh my god, thanks for saving me.” I whispered as he escorted me into the empty restaurant. He just laughed and looked to me.

“It seemed like I saved him more.” He mentioned as I blushed and nodded.

“You probably did. I was seconds away from hanging him in the waterfall.” I murmured looking around the empty room before realizing something.

“Did you reserve the whole place?” I asked narrowing my eyes towards him. He just slipped his hands into his pocket before smiling and nodding.

“Ok to start off, since you don’t already know this, I don’t like having to kick people out of a restaurant for a date.” I mentioned causing his eyes to light up.

“I’m sorry, just thought you may not wanna be seen with me.” He admitted looking down to his converse only causing me to smile.

“It’s not me that doesn’t want to be seen with you, I’m sure your fans won’t like you being seen with me.” I added before continuing on the walk towards the table at the far corner, lit with candles. I stood there in a trance at first smiling down to the set table and then to the window we were sitting at that had a view of the waves crashing on the beach.

“You didn’t have to do this for me.” I mentioned knowing he was now standing behind me.

“I wanted to have some alone time with you.” He admitted causing me to blush and sit into the seat held out for me. I thanked him, adjusting my dress before looking around.

“I’m fine with just fast food restaurants and parks you know?” I said smiling across at him causing him to smile and nod.

“I’ll remember that for our next date.” He admitted clasping his hands together on the table, sparking my interest.

“Next date?” I asked amused as he smirked down to his hands.

“That’s if you agree to it.” He admitted causing me to laugh and look over just as the waiter walked over.

“Can I start you two off with something to drink?” He asked respectfully as I smiled.

“Could I get some wine please?” I asked as he nodded and looked to Jiyong for some type of confirmation.

“Your best.” Jiyong added as the man bowed and walked away. It suddenly grew extremely quiet and awkward in a hurry as we sat there alone. He cleared his throat suddenly causing me to look over in interest.

“You think Dae will ask her out?” I suddenly asked very interested in the question. He just laughed before looking up to me in disbelief.

“What?” I asked confused as he smiled, resting his chin on his hands.

“You’re here having dinner with me, and you’re asking about them?” He asked amused only causing me to laugh in realization.

“Sorry.” I said looking down to my lap embarrassed.

“So.” He started as I laughed and looked up to his handsome face.

“I find it strange that when we don’t plan to meet and talk, we have everything in the world to talk about, but when we plan to meet, nothing seems to come out.” I admitted as he laughed and nodded in agreement.

“I find it hard to talk about anything.” He mumbled before the waiter came back with a bottle of wine and 2 wine glasses. I smiled and let him pour me a glass and then Jiyong before thanking him.

“What can I get you for dinner tonight?” He then asked placing the wine bottle into an icy container next to Jiyong. I opened the menu and looked through everything they had; it all looked and sounded so good, all types of foods.

“You need help?” Jiyong asked over as I smiled and shook my head.

“Can I get the chicken mushroom Alfredo pasta with a Caesar salad on the side?” I asked closing the menu as the waiter nodded and turned to Jiyong. He took both of our orders, bowing and then left us in our awkward silence. I was finding it hard to find the courage let alone something to talk to this man about. The man I have followed for the last year, was finally sitting by himself in front of me and I didn’t have anything to say to him, I was shocked.

“So.” He said again as I laughed, blowing my bangs out of my face before looking across to him.

“So.” I answered back only causing him to laugh at me.

“This is so weird.” I mumbled as he nodded before looking out the window.

“So since you invited me out, what do you wanna know?” I said trying to break the silence as he smiled and looked up at me.

“Um, I can ask anything?” He asked sitting back in his seat with a determined expression.

“Depends.” I answered as he nodded looking around in wonder.

“What made you admire me more than the other members?” He asked immediately causing me to laugh and hide my face.

“What?” He asked confused as I sighed before looking to him.

“I was attracted to your determination and talent.” I admitted confidently as he blushed, slightly clearing his throat.

“It wasn’t about appearance, but don’t worry, you’re handsome.” I admitted causing him to smile.

“At the time, I just needed something or someone to tell me it’ll be alright, even if they were lying, and I happened to click on a video on YouTube that looked interesting, come to find out it led me to a downloaded version of ‘Without You’ and ‘Missing You’.” I explained as he watched me in interest.

“I’m sure the girls told you about my situation at the time.” I whispered playing with the hem of my dress holding in my emotions.

“They summarized it.” He added as I sighed and nodded.

“My 2^nd oldest brother, Kawika, was hit by a drunk driver on his grad night. He was in a coma for 5 months and when he woke up he didn’t remember me.” I whispered trying to control my feelings.

“I was the closest with him growing up, especially after my father passed away. And when he woke up not knowing who I was, it was like a stab to the heart. I’ve never been so depressed in my life.” I whispered looking up to him as he stared at me with caring eyes, letting me know it was alright.
“That’s how I found out about you and Big Bang. I’ve been following you ever since.” I admitted clearing my throat.

“So you went to our concert in the states?” He asked as I smiled and nodded.

“Myself, Tyra and Eden went to all 4, both in LA and New Jersey.” I admitted embarrassed as he laughed and nodded.

“I wish we knew you girls back then, it would have been great to meet your family.” He answered as I laughed nervously down to my lap before nodding.

“How many brothers do you have?” He then asked as I looked up.

“3 older brothers.” I mentioned as he smiled nervously.

“Don’t worry about them, they aren’t that stubborn.” I admitted as he smiled and nodded.

“Well I only have an older sister.” He mentioned as I smiled and nodded.

“Yes, I know, Dami unnie right?” I asked as he smiled surprised and nodded.

“You must have forgotten that I’m your fan.” I told him causing him to laugh and look away embarrassed.

“Can I ask you something? It might be a bit personal though.” He mentioned as I hesitantly looked over to him. What did he want to ask me? I had a feeling he was about to ask me a question that was going to open a can of worms, a can that I had kept closed for so long…
