Hoku’s POV..

I woke up with a growing headache the next day.

“Ugh, how much did I drink?” I groaned annoyed covering my face with the pillow before sighing.

“Finally up there, sleeping drunkard?” A voice asked over as I snorted glaring through the hole to see Selena standing in the now open door.

“Don’t you know it’s rude to just come into someone’s room unannounced like that?” I hissed annoyed throwing the pillow off my face and onto the ground.

“Yah uh-huh, that only matters if you’re actually a ‘somebody’.” She teased causing me to roll my eyes before realizing something.

“Oh my god, what time is it? We’re supposed to be at Seungri’s Music Video filming at 7!” I shouted looking over to the clock in horror to see that it was almost noon.

“Oh my god, we are so dead.” I whined before she snorted, knocking on the doorframe to get my attention.

“That boss of yours called this morning.” She said as my eyes shot open nervously.

“Am I fired?” I asked hesitantly before she shook his head.
“He said due to some scheduling complications and contract problems, they need to hold off both Daesung’s and Seungri’s Music videos till a later time.” She said mimicking his voice only causing me to smirk and shake my head.

“So what does that mean with you? Are you leaving back home then?” I asked pulling the comforter off my legs before slowly putting my feet to the cold ground.

“No he asked me to stay till it was done, just in case they can film sooner.” She explained as I sighed and nodded holding my head.

“I didn’t know you had those types of drinking tricks up your sleeve cuz.” She teased leaning against the doorway with her arms crossed.

“What?” I asked wincing as I spoke before she smiled.

“You and that guy with the giant overgrown Mohawk we’re going at it last night.” She mentioned as the memories began coming back to me.

“Oh my god, please tell I didn’t dance on the table like I think I did.” I whined covering my face embarrassed.

“You weren’t really dancing; it was like you were giving your graduation speech.” She said chuckling at the thought, I sighed throwing myself back onto my bed.

“How embarrassing.” I mumbled blushing.

“Well you’re knight in shining armor came in handy last night.” She whispered as I looked over to her confused.

“What?” I asked as she walked into my dresser looking at things.

“If it wasn’t for him, I would have probably left you to sleep at the bar.” She mentioned uncaring as I sighed.

“He carried me all the way up here?” I asked as she nodded.

“He was just going to load you into the van and walk away but then you wouldn’t let go of his shirt.” She smirked amused as I grabbed the nearest pillow and screamed into it.

“I’m never drinking again.” I whined into the pillow as she laughed and walked over to sit next to me.

“By the way, what does Saranghae and Mianhaeyo mean?” she asked in broken Korean as I guessed what she was saying.

“Oh, Saranghae means ‘I love you’ and Mianhaeyo means ‘I’m sorry’, why?” I asked confused as she laughed.

“Well when your boy toy brought you up, you still wouldn’t let him go so he knelt down next to your bed. I was just walking by when I heard him talking so I peeked in. You told him that.” She explained as my eyes shot open before I reached over and grabbed her shoulders.

“Please tell me you’re joking.” I begged as she pried my hands off and stood up.

“You wish.” She mumbled walking out as I looked around the room in panic. I told G-Dragon that I love him, OH MY GOD! What have I done? I viciously scratched at my head annoyed before looking to my lap in annoyance. I was planning on just sitting there all day in misery, pitting my stupid self for giving into Bae oppa’s antics last night until my phone began vibrating like crazy.

“Ugh.” I groaned climbing off the be slowly before trotting over to the phone, of course it was her.

“Yes my dear?” I asked groggily to Eden on the other line.

“Hoku are you alive?” She asked as I sighed irritated.

“Yah, no thanks to you good for nothing friends.” I hissed holding my head again before sighing.

“Was is it you want? If nothing I’m going back to bed.” I threatened looking at my bed in a trance.

“Wait! I need you to come down here.” She said as I turned to the dresser confused.

“Come down where?” I asked not sure where she was anyways.

“Tyra is off filming with TOP for the Music Video and I’m with Youngbae oppa for his, I need you with me.” She whined that last part almost sounding as if she was ready to break out in tears.

“Ugh, do I have to?” I whined stomping my foot childishly.

“Please.” She begged as I sighed leaning my forehead against the wall.

“Whatever, ask Mr. Kim to pick us up then.” I said quickly hanging up annoyed. Before I could do anything I needed to cook up my hangover medicine quickly. I trotted into the kitchen uncaring of my current wardrobe which happens to be my boy shorts and a large t-shirt. I put a pot of boiling water on and brought all my ingredients out.

“Does that stuff still work?” Selena asked from behind me as I sighed staring at the water slightly nodding.

“Oh, we’re going to Eden’s Music Video filming in the bit.” I mentioned quickly before she could disappear.

“Why?” She asked annoyed as I shrugged my shoulders.

“I’m not in the mood to help her so I’m going down there to make fun of her instead.” I teased before she laughed.

“Ah, that sounds more like it.” She pointed out before her eyes lit up in what seemed like realization.

“Oh you had a delivery this morning.” She said as I looked over my shoulder confused.

“Delivery? What type of delivery?” I said wiping my hands on a rag before turning to see her walk in with a vase full of white Gardenia’s , my all-time favorite flower. I gasped putting a hand over my mouth in shock before walking over.

“Some guy dropped it off this morning.” She said handing them to me, as I leaned in and took a quick whiff of it smiling. They were my favorite flowers from the time I was a little girl, I remember it vividly why I came to like them.

Flashback:

“Bumblebee?” My father’s voice called out as I ran into the house from the backyard. My father had been fighting bone cancer for as long as I could remember from the age of 4 to the age of 10, he was still slowly pulling through.  I ran into the house with my Barbie’s still in hand. He smiled from his usual spot on the couch, patting the open seat next to him. Quickly I took a seat next to him before he wrapped an arm around my shoulder playfully.

“Look what I got for you today.” He whispered doing his usual magic trick before seeing the white flower in his hand.
“Daddy.” I chirped giggling before reaching over and grabbing it carefully.

“Remember, even when daddies not here, whenever you see this flower, remember that it means I love you and am so proud of you.” He explained tapping the end of my nose causing me to smile.

“But daddy will always be with me, right?” I asked over causing him to slightly sigh before smiling.

“Even if I’m not here, I’ll always be with you, in here.” He mentioned pointing down to my chest where I held his hand.

“But daddy will still always be by my side, right?” I asked again causing him to ruffle my hair smiling.

“Always.” He sang causing me to smile and jump into his arms.

“You’ll definitely grow up to be an amazing and beautiful person, I know it.” He said causing me to laugh and nod.

“Of course I will daddy!” I said outraged causing him to laugh.

“You’ll meet a nice man one day, that’ll treat you how he’s supposed to and make my princess happy.” He then said softly pulling me into his chest.

“Daddy, I’ll never like any other guy more than you, you’re my all time favorite.” I chirped causing him to laugh and nod.

“That’s how it should be.” He mentioned proudly causing me to laugh.

End Flashback:

Ever since my father began giving me those flowers, every time I ever saw them it reminded me of him. He ended up passing away a few weeks later in a car accident, when he had a behind the wheel. It was a hard time for me, but I was lucky I had my brothers still.

“They’re gorgeous.” I whispered smiling, tapping one of the petals before Selena handed me a small envelope.

“This was clipped to the flowers too.” She said as I placed the flowers down on the table before taking the envelope. I opened it gently before opened the card.

Hoku,

I heard from a little birdy that your favorite flower was the Gardenia’s. If I must say, they’re not quite as pretty as you but they smell just as intoxicating as you do. See you soon…

I just snorted at the initials printed at the bottom before laughing.

“Who’s that from?” Selena asked over my shoulder as I sighed.

“My Knight in Shining Armor.” I said smirking down to the little heart drawn in the corner, he was serious about trying, but it was going to take more than this.
