Author’s POV…

Not only was Selena beyond surprised to see her cousin and idol boyfriend standing outside her bedroom door, but she was a little hesitant to let her cousin into her room.

“What are you two doing here?” She asked looking to the two standing in front her before Hoku finally spoke.

“We’re here to take you to Hong Kong with us.” Hoku said calmly as Selena’s eyes grew in confusion and surprise.

“Why Hong Kong and not Korea?” She asked through her teeth leaning on the doorframe.

“If you let us in, I’ll tell you.” Hoku said through her own teeth, noticing that she was going to have to be tough on her cousin if she wanted to get anywhere. Selena stared at them silently for a while before finally stepping aside and letting them in.

“What are you doing here? Aren’t you busy?” Selena asked annoyed over to Jiyong who just stood around the room uncomfortably.

“I asked him to come with me, why, problem?” Hoku hissed back leaning against the wall next to him. Selena picked up a few articles of clothing before lying down on her small twin size bed.

“Seungri misses you.” Hoku blabbered immediately while Selena grabbed her pillow holding it over her face.

“If you came here just to get me to go back to him, there’s the door, HAVE A NICE DAY!” Selena snapped gesturing to the door as Jiyong flinched in surprise. Hoku didn’t falter from her spot, instead she rolled her eyes and walked over.

“Selena, you are the most immature, ungrateful, undeserving brat I know.” Hoku spat as Selena’s eyes shot open before she shot off the bed, staring her cousin dead in the eyes.

“What did you just call me?” She hissed only seeing red before Jiyong ran over and grabbed Hoku’s shoulders.

“Stop.” He begged Hoku who in turn shrugged out of his grasp.

“Jiyong, stand against the wall over there. I don’t want to hurt you.’ She warned before he nodded and hesitantly went to the wall.

“Nice of you to protect him.” Selena hissed amused at her cousin who in turn chuckled.

“Why? Because I have someone I want to protect?” Hoku asked, it was like a slap to Selena’s face.

“What the hell is that supposed to mean?” Selena asked taking another step towards Hoku who didn’t flinch.

“What is it, huh? Too scared? Too prideful that you have to ditch someone who thought you felt the same way about him?” Hoku seethed while Selena was taken back.

“You wouldn’t understand.” Selena crumbled stepping back before sitting on the edge of her bed.

“Understand what? Why the girl I thought loved me ditched me when life began to fall around me? Oh yah sure, I’m sure Seungri understands all too well.” Hoku snapped while Jiyong watched flabbergasted.

“Where’d you go Selena? The man you grew to trust and love was hurting with no one to hold him up and here you were, living life like nothing was wrong. He was back in Japan, in the hospital suffering!” Hoku snapped slapping Selena across the face shocking everyone in the room.

“This isn’t the girl I grew up with. Nope. This is some pitiful wench that believes everything someone tells you aside from the actual source.” Hoku mentioned stepping away from her slapped cousin.

“I suffered in your spot for you, I had to recover from stitches while you sat here mopping around, uncaring that some tramp just walked all over Seungri like yesterdays tossed milk.” Hoku snorted looking down at her crumbling cousin.

“Since we told him you left, he’s been down, more down than anything Selena-ssi.” Jiyong took the opportunity to step in.

“Myself and the members have never seen him so quiet before. He’s usually his usual bubbly self; even the fans are starting to notice the change.” Jiyong whispered while Hoku sighed.

“Well I came to take you to Hon Kong because I promised Seungri I would bring you back, and they needed dates for the awards next weekend. You were supposed to be his date, but the girl I see sitting in front of me isn’t cut out to Seungri anywhere. You know what hurts me the most, is the fact that you believed everything else except for him.” Hoku spat again sending shooting pain through Selena’s heart, where she hung her head.

“He didn’t do anything those guys said he did. She drugged him Selena. DRUGGED HIM and most likely HIM!” Hoku shouted now in tears.

“He didn’t do JACK! He was scared, no, terrified, ashamed and more than ever betrayed, by you. Happy?” Hoku snapped again before sighing, wiping her tears quickly.

“We’re leaving tomorrow morning for Cali. I’m going to visit my parents for a few days then we’re heading to Hong Kong Tuesday afternoon. Do what you want with these.” Hoku was beyond annoyed and just tossed the plane tickets at her cousin’s feet.

“Let’s go, if I stay any longer, I’ll hurt someone.” Hoku mentioned over to Jiyong who nodded, wrapping an arm around his girlfriend before ushering her out of the room and house. They said goodbye to the family, making sure that they wouldn’t say anything to her family. They retired to the hotel, not in the mood to doing anything either than stay in.

“You want me to order something for lunch?” Jiyong asked hesitantly as they walked into their suite. Hoku seemed like she was in a trance in turn kicked off her shoes before plowing into Jiyong’s chest.
“Omo.” He spoke surprised looking down to see her crying into his shirt. Sighing when he understood what was going on, he wrapped his arms tightly around her small frame before kissing her head.

“Let’s go lie down.” He whispered while she nodded and let him carry her bridal style to their bedroom. Tucking her in under the covers before crawling in next to her, like a magnet the moment his head met the pillow her body was clung to his. Turning to make it comfortable for both side, Jiyong wrapped one arm around her waist, letting her burry her face into his neck while he rested his chin on her head.

“Baby, it’s alright. You did what you could.” He whispered rubbing her back comforting before kissing her forehead.

“I don’t understand why you yelled at her, but nonetheless I’ve never seen her so defenseless before.” He admitted while Hoku reached a hand up, gripping his shirt.

“It’ll be fine, get some sleep.” Jiyong whispered lying his head down while she rested her head on his chest. After their little encounter that morning, all the couple did all day was sleep, even through the night, getting up at 6am well rested and on their way to the airport once again.

“You got everything?” Jiyong asked over to Hoku whose hand he was currently holding while they were being ushered through the packed airport, who would have thought VIPs would find them here of all places. Hoku in turn nodded, keeping her head low against his chest. Fans screamed at the couple, pushing gifts there way where both Hoku and Jiyong willingly took them.

“We love you guys!” the fans shouted as Hoku smiled at them. Finally they made it through the security checkpoint and to their gate in the nick of time. The flight to Cali wasn’t as long as their flight to Ohio from Korea, but the airport was twice as dangerous.

“Sir?” One of the securities boarded the plane the moment the doors opened. Hoku stood up alongside Jiyong as the man smiled at the both of them.

“We’ve had to shut down the airport because it became too dangerous for security to handle.” He explained while the couple nodded in understanding. Hoku didn’t run this time, she knew how dangerous and out of control American fans could be, she didn’t want security getting hurt because of them. Instead the couple walked down the stairs to the tarmac where a taxi waited for them.

“Where to?” The man asked as the couple climbed in. Hoku was smart enough to ask the security for them to send their bags to their hotel as soon as they could, which they willingly agreed to.

“Rent a car.” She informed as the man nodded pulling away from the plane to the security gate. They rented another car before driving up to her parents house.

“I’m nervous.” Jiyong whispered trying to lighten the mood only causing Hoku to chuckle a bit.

“It’ll be fine. They may be overly surprised since my mother has been nagging to meet you.” Hoku mentioned while Jiyong sat there, playing with the zipper of his coat.

“You think she’ll like me?” He asked over hesitantly while Hoku sighed.

“To be honest, she’s never liked any of my exes for 2 reasons, I never brought them home and 2, I always ended up crying in the end.” She whispered before Jiyong sighed reaching over to hold her hand.

“You’ll never cry with me, alright?” He asked over petting her gently.

Before long they pulled up to a two story house in a large neighborhood, the house screamed cozy and family oriented from the outside. Every light in the house was on, there were small lanterns lighting up the walkway to the front door, red. About 4 cars parked in the driveway which meant one of many things, they were all living at home or tonight was their annual family dinner that Hoku’s mother loved to throw. Hoku parked the car before smiling out the window.

“Is that your house?” Jiyong asked as Hoku sighed and nodded, smiling.

“Everyone’s here too.” Hoku informed pointing to the 4 cars in the driveway.

“I wanna call them first, then we’ll surprise them, ok?” She asked pulling out her phone while he nodded. She dialed their number, putting it on speakerphone before placing it in her lap.

“Hello?” A voice answered while a bunch of voices chatted in the background.

“Kawika?” Hoku asked happily hearing a familiar voice.

“Wow, if it isn’t my celeb sister.” He teased just like Kona would.

“Nice talking to you too.” Hoku mentioned sarcastically while keeping an eye on the house.

“So what’s up? You need to talk to mom guys?” Kawika asked while Jiyong smiled over at her.

“Whose at the house right now? I hear a ton of voices.” Hoku said making up a lie just to see who was over.

“Um, the usual for family dinner, Kona, Aubrey, Kai, Britney, mom, dad and me.” He mentioned while she looked on in confusion.

“Who the heck is Britney?” Hoku asked as he laughed.

“Oh, well that’s Kai’s new girlfriend. Supposedly their serious.” He whispered causing her to snort and roll her eyes.

“What’s she like?” Hoku asked interested.

“Well I like her, I don’t mind her. Kona, ugh, can’t really tell if he likes her or he’s just so quiet cause he can’t stand her.” Kawika said as both Hoku and Jiyong laughed.

“Not sure if you’ll like her, but I’m sure if you were here you’d see for yourself.” He explained while she smiled and nodded.

“Well I just called to check in, I need to go.” Hoku said unbuckling her seatbelt.

“Why?” He asked in whine causing her to laugh.
“I’m busy, what else?” Hoku asked back before he sighed.

“Alright, I’ll let dad guys know you called.” He mentioned before they said their goodbyes.

“Ready?” Hoku asked over to Jiyong who was taking deep breaths in the passenger seat.

“Oh come on, I’m not asking you to step out in front of thousands of people here.” Hoku whined before he snorted and looked over outraged.

“Oh please, I rather be going on stage then meeting your other brothers.” He whined causing her to laugh before she reached over and kissed his cheek.

“Come on, I’ll protect you.” She teased climbing out before he followed suit. She waited for him at the front of the car, holding her hand out while he intertwined his fingers into hers.

“Here we go.” She announced as they walked up the brick covered pathway to the front door, hearing laughing coming from the other side of the door. They looked at each other once before Jiyong nodded towards her.

“Go.” He urged before she nodded and finally knocking.

“Coming!” An older woman’s voice called, obviously her mother followed by the sound of the doorknob turning. It opened showing an older woman dressed in simple clothes and an apron. Hoku’s eyes connected with the beyond surprised and speechless ones.

“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!”
