Selena’s POV…

I watched the man my cousin had slaved over for the last year walk down the beach, following her footsteps in the sand from my spot in the water.

“You don’t like him do you?” A voice asked as I blew a wet hair out of my face and looked over to see said man’s friends around me.

“I never said I didn’t like him, I don’t particularly like him but I don’t hate him.’ I whispered still watching him walk.

“Seems like Hoku-ah had a pretty rough life.” Youngbae mentioned as I sighed and looked up to the sky.

“You guys living here all high and mighty while there are those like her living hell on earth.” I mumbled uncaring what they were saying.

“What about you? Why don’t you date?” Daesung asked as I snorted looking over.

“I don’t need a man to make me happy.” I said proudly causing a few of them to stifle their laughter, looking to the one that has been haunting my dreams lately. I sighed in annoyance when his hurt expression connected with my uncaring one.

“Hoku’s had it rough even before we met her.” Tyra added as I nodded in agreement.

“Her dad passed away when she was 10.” Eden added as the guys slightly gasped along with our tour guide.

“How?” Top asked hesitantly as the girls looked to me for some kind of reassurance.

“Her father was sick with cancer, he had a behind the wheel of his car.” I said emotionless.

“After her father died, she barely ever talked to anyone, barely me.” I added watching the said man’s silhouette get smaller down the beach.

“Then when she was 13, her mother met another man, who got a promotion in California.” I added again before looking to Tyra and Eden.

“That’s when she met us.” Tyra interjected.

“I haven’t seen my parents since I was 18.” Steph added sadly causing me to snort.

“They’re alive?” I asked as she nodded confused.

“At least they are both alive, her father was her best friend.” I whispered looking down to see the man walking up the steps of some type of building.

“She’s had a lot of relationship problems throughout the years.” Eden mentioned as the guys nodded.

“One after another they decide to use her, abuse her and then leave her, that’s how they all end up.” Tyra hissed as I groaned.

“And one after another, Selena-ssi sends them to the hospital.” Youngbae teased as I smirked.

“You have no idea, when she does find them we always find out they are in intensive care within hours of cheating on Hoku.” Tyra said gesturing over to me as I smiled proudly.

“No one messes with my cousin.” I said finally dunking under the water to get away from them.

Youngbae’s POV…

“Ji’s got his work cut out for him.” I whispered turning to look down the beach as the guys nodded, now that we were the only ones still in the water.

“Think he can handle it?” TOP asked as I sighed and shrugged.

“If he’s serious enough then maybe he can.” Daesung added before I nodded in agreement.

“Now I see why she’s so hesitant about agreeing to date him.” I whispered still in surprise by everything we had just found out.

“Yah, she’s extremely fragile from the looks of it, but the interesting thing is that she doesn’t hold herself to look fragile.” Top added causing us all to nod.

“She’s like Selena, just nicer.” Daesung pointed out causing me to laugh at the Maknae’s upset face.
“ I really like Hoku noona, I just hope hyung doesn’t mess it up.” Seungri whispered worried as I nodded in agreement. If Jiyong was serious about his feelings towards this girl, he would need to step up his game and be a man, instead of the damsel in distress. I was definitely worried for my longtime friend, but I was more worried for the girl that I was coming to care for as a close friend.

Tyra’s POV..

“So how long have you been living here?” I asked over to Steph who was lying out on the towel next to me.

“Ugh, since I was 18, I moved out of my parents the second I got a chance.” She explained as I nodded shutting my eyes from the sun.

“Hoku-ah, she really likes Jiyong-ssi doesn’t she?” She then asked as all our eyes shot open and over to her.

“What?” She asked confused by our reaction.

“Why? Do you like him too?” Selena snapped as Eden reached over to hold her back. Steph just sat up quickly shaking her head and hands in defense.

“No, no, no.” She said as I sighed and laid back down.

“Better not.” Selena whispered before calming down.

“I just asked because I could see the way she looks at him.” Steph explained as I smiled and nodded.

“Its’ that obvious, isn’t it?” Eden teased before Steph laughed and nodded.

“That child is as dense as a board, but she has her reasons.” I added fixing my top.

“Jiyong-ssi likes her a lot, I can tell.” She then admitted as we all laughed.

“He’s like a book, so easy to read.” Selena teased as I laughed and nodded.

“What about the rest of you? Are you all romantically involved with the group too?” She then asked causing everyone to laugh and for me to slowly try to hide myself from sight.

“Tyra jumped TOP oppa’s bandwagon.” Eden cheered causing my eyes to shoot open in shock before I glared over at her.

“You’re so dead!” I snapped jumping at her gripping at her neck before Selena tugged me off.

“Why go around telling everyone my personal business?! We don’t even know her!” I hissed at Eden who just laid there smiling.

“Don’t worry I won’t tell anyone, promise, plus I know how you all feel.” She admitted before I stopped my struggle and looked to her confused.

“You do?” I asked walking over and taking a seat next to her, following her eye sight to a certain member splashing in the water.

“Oh dear lord, not you too.” Selena whined as Steph looked to her lap embarrassed.

“Can’t blame you though, Dae oppa is very handsome.” Eden chirped causing her to laugh embarrassed before nodding.

“I apologize, it just sort of happened.” She mumbled causing me to laugh and pat her head.

“Don’t worry about it.” I comforted her.

“And what about you Ms. Moody?” I asked back to the attitude case lying out. She slowly sat up before ripping her sunglasses off and glaring at me.

“What did you call me?” She hissed as I smirked rolling my eyes.

“What’s going on between you and the Maknae?” I asked biting on the end of my sunglasses.

“You’re dating Seungri-ssi?” Steph asked over surprised causing Selena to growl and the tour guide to turn away terrified.

“I’m not dating him, neither wanting to.” She hissed flipping her hair over her shoulder before looking to the water with a smile.

“Oh yah, then you staring at him with a bit of drool just means he looks like meat then?” I teased before she shot a glare that would kill a bird in midair towards me.

“That doesn’t prove anything.” Selena hissed in denial before looking away down the beach.

“Will you really hurt him if he hurts Hoku-ah?” Steph then asked obviously referring to Selena.

“Don’t give her anymore ideas, I’m sure she’s already planning away in that corrupted mind of hers.” I whispered over side eying Selena who had an evil smirk on her face.

“She’s like my sister, if he hurts her, I’ll make sure he’s in a lot of pain.” She mentioned before evilly laughing.

“Creeper.” Eden whispered before Selena reached over and punched her arm.

“Ow! What the hell was that for?” Eden shouted in pain rubbing her arm viciously.

“Whimp.” Selena teased back as Eden rolled her eyes irritated.

I sighed watching those two fight as always before looking down the beach to the still unknown building where the two in question disappeared, something was brewing in the air…
