Author’s POV…

The team did exactly what they were told to do for the concert, tons of photos were taken and tons of footage was collected from the 3 hour show that brought the house down. Big Bang did 3 encores in the end plus even got down into the audience to interact closely with them. After the tiny incident that happened earlier, Hoku sent the others out to capture the moment of the guys in the stands while she stayed at the main stage to get further shots of them. She couldn’t get the meeting with his sister in a few minutes out of her mind. She wasn’t afraid of her or anything, just being that she was dating her brother, no one in his family knew or knew her, she just didn’t see it as respectful which left a huge first impression on the first family member she met.

The concert finally ended as they took their last bow before retreating backstage.

“Great show guys!” Tyra cheered with the other employees in the hallway to the dressing room. The guys all clapped for the team before Jiyong noticed someone was missing.

“Where’s Hoku-ah?” Jiyong asked over the loud clapping as Tyra, Eden and Selena looked around also in confusion.

“She was here a second ago.” Eden mentioned before Jiyong looked to the other members who had an equally worried expression on their faces.

“Change first.” Selena urged before running off to find her lost cousin. She had a hunch who she was with right now, but she didn’t know if that was a good or bad thing.

Jiyong ran to the dressing room and basically ripped the costume he was wearing off in 5 seconds flat before slipping into his jeans, shirt, grabbed his phone and jacket before he took off running out of the room. The other members were a bit slower but nonetheless they were out of the room soon after.

Hoku’s POV…

I didn’t want the others to know where or who I was meeting with, knowing they would for sure add their two cents into my opinion and then refuse me to go. So the second we got into the hallway to clap for the guys, I waited till they were too occupied with things around them, before I slipped out and down another hallway. I made it back to the stage area where fans were still trying to leave slowly, then I noticed what looked like some kind of laser pointing down at my chest like in those assassin movies. Quickly I looked up to where the light was coming from to see her waving me down from the top section of seats. I swallowed hardly before maneuvering through security, hallways and stairs then walking out to where I had saw her.

“Didn’t think you would actually come.” A voice said the moment I stepped out from the hallway, I looked over to see her leaning against the wall with her arms crossed over her chest.

“Of course I would come.” I added before she smiled and looked around.

“There’s a coffee shop around the block that should still be open, mind joining me?” She asked as I hesitantly looked to the stage, wondering if I should let someone know.

“So?” She asked impatient as I sighed and nodded in agreement.

“I just need to let my team know that I’m alright.” I added pulling out my phone before she basically ripped it out of my hands.

“They’ll be fine.” She whispered slipping my phone into her jacket pocket. I wanted nothing more than to jump this very moment and strangle the crap out of her, but I tried not to think that way about the person standing in front of me. I quietly followed her through the building, out a side door into the cold night. I was glad that I had grabbed my heavy jacket before meeting her or I would be frozen alive.

“It’s almost winter.” She mentioned obviously seeing me slightly shiver. I just nodded in acknowledgement to her statement before continuing to follow her. When we got closer into town, I noticed she put on a beanie and wrapped a large scarf around her neck to hide half of her face. Being the relative of a top notch singer must be hard on people like her too. We finally arrived at a semi full coffee shop before we walked in. We ordered our drinks, collected them before finding a free seat near the window.

“So.” She started as I sipped my drink and looked over to her.

How long have you and my brother been secretly dating?” She asked bluntly as I dabbed the napkin on my mouth before looking down to the steam flowing off of it.

“It’s only been since last Saturday.” I admitted as her eyes shot open.

“So you guys haven’t been serious yet?” She asked whispering as I understood her words before quickly shaking my head.

“How long have you been a fan of them?” She then asked with serious eyes as I looked down to my coffee.

“About January of last year, my brother was hit by a drunk driver and was in a coma for 5 months. I was in a depression since I was so close to him. When he woke up, he had no recollection of who I was so I cried often. I found Jiyong-ssi music on YouTube by chance, also leading me to Big Bang in the long run. His music helped me cope with my depression.” I admitted embarrassed before looking up to her slightly surprised expression.

“If you don’t believe me, I have a photo on my phone I took with my brothers in the hospital.” I pointed out before she blinked, clearing shaking her head.

“They are very handsome don’t get me wrong, but it wasn’t because of that that made me become a fan, it was the way their music seemed to connect with someone who really needs it.” I whispered stirring the spoon in my coffee in thought.

Dami’s POV…

She explained to me what exactly got her into my brothers band and I couldn’t help but just stare at this girl in surprise. Didn’t expect that story to be the reason, and from the looks of it, it was a serious incident, she even offered to show me proof of it.

“Why do you like my brother, if I may ask?” I hesitantly asked over, knowing that this girl was something more fragile than I was used to.

“He’s a very sweet and kind person once you get past the costumes, make up and music. But his music is beyond amazing.” She whispered never looking up at me as I narrowed my eyes towards her. If this was some kind of act, she was an incredible actress.

“You’re from the states right?” I then asked as she looked up and nodded.

“Hawaii.” She mentioned as my eyes shot open in shock.

“Hawaii?” I asked flabbergasted before she nodded confused.

“Wow.” I whispered unable to speak anything before I shook my head.

“Anyways, when your time is done here, are you planning on leaving my brother to go back to your normal life?” I asked while she smiled before looking down to her coffee again.

“What’s with the smile?” I asked suspiciously while she laughed and looked up.

“Jiyong-ssi asked me the same thing when I agreed to date him. He was worried I was going to up and leave when my time was done. I already promised him, as long as I could get a permanent job and he doesn’t give me a reason to leave, I would stay here.” She explained without an hesitation.

“You would give up seeing your family and move to a foreign country for a man you just started dating?” I asked amused while she looked up smiling.

“My family will always be my family, they will always be there, but Jiyong, well he may not always be here and want to be with me.” She whispered as I nodded in agreement to her answer. I don’t what it was but this girl sitting in front of me sounded so genuine when she answered the questions I was dishing out. She didn’t take any time to answer them, immediately giving me answers.

“How do you speak fluent Korean?” I asked interested as she laughed still looking down to her coffee.

“I took foreign language classes in school growing up. Only reason I’m in Japan with them is because I’m also the Japanese Translator for their promotions here.” She explained as my mouth gaped open. Not only was she genuine, it sounded as if she had worked extremely hard through life to get her where she was. I’ll give her that, she was definitely a hard worker, I was being to have a little faith in this girl. I sighed feeling her phone in my jacket pocket vibrate for the thousands time.

“I think someone is desperately trying to get ahold of you.” I pointed out pulling the phone from my pocket to see:

Incoming…

Ji-ji-ji-baby-baby-baby

“I’m guessing this is my brother’s number?” I asked turning the phone towards her as she blushed, quickly looking down to her coffee before nodding. I sighed pulling my scarf down enough before putting the phone to my ear.

“Hi little bro.” I answered.

“Noona, why do you have Hoku’s phone? Where is she?” He immediately spat at me in a yelling tone causing me to pull the phone away from my ear.

“She’s fine, she’s with me.” I mentioned annoyed with his tone.

“Tell me where you are right now?!!” He snapped as my eyes widened. Never in my life had I ever had or heard him yell at me before, so I was slightly shaken by his terrifying tone.

“Um…the coffee shop around the corner from the concert hall.” I mentioned startled before the line quickly went dead. I pulled the phone away from my ear before looking down to it surprised.

“Is everything ok?” She then asked as I looked up to her. There must be something special about this girl that I’m just not getting for my brother to act that way towards me for the first time. I just shook my head and held out her phone for her.

“I think it’s time to leave. He’s looking for you.” I mentioned standing up; grabbing my coffee as she hesitantly followed me out of the coffee shop into the cold air.

“Don’t be upset with him about what I said earlier.” I pointed out quickly before I looked over to her.

“I’m just being a protective older sister, you understand?” I asked as she laughed and nodded looking to me.

“I have 3 brothers so I understand perfectly well.” She teased as my eyes shot open before looking away. She was a lot different from the girls my brother usually dated, but I still couldn’t bring my defense down yet.

Hoku’s POV…

It seemed to me like we had been walking longer than it had taken us to get to the coffee shop, nothing around me looked familiar at all, but at the worse feeling in the world when I heard a pair of feet behind us. Something wasn’t right. I quickly side eye Dami to see that she was also confused but worried about the people still following us. I had to do something. My eyes looked around for somewhere to run but finding nowhere to go, I did what I could. I quickly grabbed her hand before whispering.

“Run.” I whispered before I began running with her dragging behind me.

“Get them!” A voice shouted behind us as I continued to run trying to find some type of sanctuary. That’s when I finally saw the concert hall in the distance.

“There.” I whispered running before I felt Dami fall behind me. I quickly turned to see 2 guys running towards us.

“Don’t move.” They said sternly as I looked down to Dami and then up to the guys.

“Damn me for always wanting to be a hero.” I cursed standing in front of Dami, keeping her out of view.

“Can we help you? Why are you guys following us?” I spat as they looked at me shocked that I knew and spoke fluent Japanese.

“Hey, I know you from somewhere.” One guys said pointing at me as I stepped back away from his finger makings sure to keep Dami behind me.

“Well I’ve never seen you before.” I retorted slightly out of breath as I motioned Dami behind me to keep hiding in case they recognized her.

“What do you guys want?” I asked again annoyed as they laughed.

“We just saw two beautiful ladies alone at night, we just wanna have some fun.” One mentioned taking a step towards me as I motioned for Dami to climbed off the ground. She held onto the back of my jacket, keeping her face hidden.

“Well we don’t wanna have any fun, so just leave us alone.” I hissed causing them to laugh at each other before looking to us.

“What’s wrong with her? Can’t show us her face?” One asked reaching out for Dami’s hand that was on my shoulder before I grabbed it pushing him away.

“Leave her alone.” I hissed as they looked at me in shock.

“Hasn’t your mother ever taught you to keep your hands to yourself?” I asked annoyed before they laughed.

“Hasn’t your mother ever taught you to play nice with others?” One asked trying to sound huskily only causing me to dry heave before snorting.

“Hasn’t your mother ever taught you never to talk to strangers?” I retorted causing them to go speechless.

“Come here.” They said angrily grabbing at Dami’s hand, while she screamed and held onto me.

“Let her go!” I snapped gripping his hand before twisting it around to his back, receiving a blood curdling scream from him.

“Don’t touch her.” I hissed pushing him away before backing up into Dami again.

“Dami-ssi, whatever happens, run, find help.” I whispered as I heard the small whimpers coming off of her.

“Dami-unnie.” She whispered as I looked over my shoulder in confusion.

“You can call me unnie.” She whispered in tears causing me to smile before nodding.

“Find help, alright? I’ll handle it here.” I whispered turning around before I felt her nod into my jacket.

“When I say run, run to the left towards the concert hall, ok?” I whispered as she looked over before nodding.

“Hey , you’re gonna pay for almost breaking my friends hand.” One snapped coming closer as I backed up.

“Unnie, run.” I whispered before she took off running.

“HEY!” They shouted turning to her as I tripped the first one before diving onto the other one and to the ground.

“You stupid .” One snapped as I felt someone grabbing my hair forcefully. I winced holding my side also where I had made contact with the man’s shoes. He yanked me up before tossing me to the wall we had been against earlier.

“You’re gonna get it now.” One said cracking his knuckles and stepping closer to me. I hissed a bit from a pain in my knee before I looked down to see my pants clearly torn now red from my scrapped knee.

“Damn it.” I whispered looking up just as one man grabbed my chin forcefully to look at him.

“HEY!” A voice shouted as the man froze before looking over as I did to see the big bang members, Dami behind Top oppa, my friends, my cousin, along with a dozen security guards.

“Hey, isn’t that Big Bang?” The one holding me whispered before I snorted and kicked him off of me with my good leg. Security dove after the guys that tried to make a run before it before taking care of them. I sighed in relief, resting my hands on my knees before someone pulled me into a hug.

“Are you alright?” A female voice asked worried as I slightly winced.

“Noona, she already has 2 fractured ribs, you’re going to break them.” Jiyong whined as Dami loosened her hold on me.

“Jagiya, are you alright?” Jiyong then asked as I looked over in shock that he had called me that in front of everyone. Before I could even blink he pulled me into a gently hug, kissing the side of my head in relief.

“You’re going to give me a heart attack one day.” He whispered causing me to laugh before hugging him back.

“No sneaking away from me anymore.” He begged before pulling away and looking at me.

“Promise?” He asked as I looked around to the face staring at me worried and happy.

“Promise.” I whispered before he kissed my forehead and hugged me again. I looked up from his shoulder to his sister, who smiled at me before nodding, was she finally believing in my feelings for him?

“I can’t lose you.” He whispered as I blushed and hid my face into his jacket. Tonight may not have all been happy memories, but it ended up with a new friend, who also ends up being the love of my life’s sister. Life sure does work in strange ways.
