Author’s POV…

Hoku’s mother took good care of her after that night, the guys went on to throw an amazing concert with Hoku sitting at home in bed.  Big Bang was scheduled to show up on The Ellen Show but with last minute schedule changes, the show had to cancel for their time in New York, so Big Bang showed up on Danny in L.A. Hoku got better after a few nights rest under her mother’s orders and finally the group was in New York having their fan meet there. It went off without a hitch along with the concert they had been so worried about it. Now it was time for the Ellen Show that the group had been more than worried about, especially Hoku, since she would have to go on also and help translate.

“Noona, are you sure you’re ok?” Seungri asked as they got set up with sound boxes backstage to the Ellen Show. Hoku looked over from the mirror she was standing in before smiling at him.

“Oh, don’t you look handsome.” Hoku chirped walking over before adjusting his collar causing the Maknae to blush.

“You look better noona.” He pointed out causing her to smile up at his face.

“I feel better.” She added as he smiled letting her adjusted him.

“How are you and Hyung doing?” He asked as she sighed patting his tie down before stepping away.

“We’re talking.” She explained as he smiled before she put her hand up.

“Just because we’re talking doesn’t mean that we’re getting back together, we’re not.” She offered as he sighed, pulling his bottom lip out in a pout.

“But why noona?” He asked stomping his foot like a child.

“Seungri, it’s complicated so just leave it at that, alright?” Hoku looked up to him showing that she was hurt by the question. In turn he sighed before nodding.

“Thank you noona.” He whispered down to his tie as she smiled.

The guys were pampered and set up as the show finally started.

“Today on the show we have a group here all the way from Seoul, Korea. A Boy Band by the name of Big Bang that is slowly taking over the American Music Scene. Top the American Billboard Charts, MTV Music TOP 50, various Music Charts from around the world. They are here in the states for their concerts, and they are here with us now. Welcome the Biggest and Most Popular Kpop Boy Band in the World, BIG BANG!” Ellen shouted gesturing over to the giant doors as Big Bang’s ‘Fantastic Baby’ began playing. Big Bang stepped out as soon as the doors opened, bowing to the screaming crowd which were obviously full of fans waiting for them. Ellen danced at her seat while Big Bang slowly made their way over before shaking her hand. She stared at each of them amazed by their surprising features before gesturing for the large couch laid out for them to sit. The music cut as Hoku walked out, and sat behind them on the offered seat.

“Welcome.” Ellen announced smiling at the men sitting in front of her. The members turned to the audience smiling as they squealed causing Ellen to chuckle at the sight.

“Never in my life have I had the audience squeal so much or so loud.” She teased causing everyone to chuckle.

“Alright, well I sort of know your names but you’ll have to excuse me on pronunciation.” She said adjusting in her seat.

“Um………G-Dragon.” She said pointing to the group as Jiyong smiled, raising his hand.

“T.O.P.” she mentioned as TOP raised his hand smiling.

“Um…alright, Daysung.” She asked as the guys chuckled.

“Dae-sung.” Daesung mentioned as Ellen laughed and nodded.

“You may call me D-Lite for short.” He offered as she sighed in relief nodding.

“D-Lite.” She offered as he smiled holding his hand up.

“Tae-taeyang.” She said slowly before Youngbae chuckled leaning forward.

“You can call me Sol for short.” He offered while she nodded.

“And Sungri.” She offered causing the Maknae to chuckle.

“V.I.” He added as she nodded.

“V.I.” She answered as he nodded, giving her a thumbs up.

“You’re names are so unusual and unique.” She offered causing the guys to chuckle.

“G-Dragon, where did that name come from?” She asked as Jiyong looked around slightly panicked.

“The ‘G’ is the English version of my real name Jiyong, while the ‘Yong’ in my real name means ‘Dragon’ in English.” He said as Hoku pulled the mic up to her lips to quickly translate to Ellen who sat there speechless.

“He said that the ‘G’ of G-Dragon originates from the Ji in his real name Jiyong, while the ‘Yong’ left from his real name has the same English meaning as Dragon.” Hoku translated as Ellen nodded over to Hoku.

“Are you their translator?” She asked over to Hoku who just nodded from the back of them.

“She’s also our publicist for our overseas activities.” Seungri added as Ellen nodded in interest.

“Ah, we spoke to you on the phone.” Ellen said in realization while Hoku chuckled and nodded.

“It’s nice to finally meet you.” Ellen said standing up and offering her a hand.

“I’m Hoku Fernandez, it’s an honor to finally meet you.” Hoku said as Ellen smiled and sat back down.

“The members are not that knowledgeable in English just yet, so I will be assisting whenever needed.” Hoku explained as Ellen thanked her and went back to the guys.

“How are you guys liking the states so far? Wait, have you all been here before?” she asked as the members nodded.

“We’ve been to the states last year for our World Tour both in California and New York.” Youngbae spoke as Ellen snapped her fingers in realization.

“How many concerts did you hold?” She asked.

“4.” TOP answered as she nodded.

“It was originally 2 but those 2 concerts sold out within 2 hours of releasing so we had to add on two others.” Youngbae added as Ellen nodded in impress.

“So last year was the first time?” She asked as they looked at each other before shaking their heads.

“We also filmed two of our music videos here in New York.” Daesung mentioned as Ellen nodded in interest.

“Can we see those two music videos?” She asked as they began playing clips of ‘Blue’ and ‘Bad Boy’.

“I’m really curious about your looks. You all have very unique looks.” She offered pointing to each of them.

“G-Dragon has pink hair.” She mentioned causing them to chuckle.

“Hyung had blue hair not long ago.” Seungri mentioned pointing over to Top as they showed the photo.

“I’ve noticed that many Kpop stars go all out with hair color.” She mentioned as they nodded.

“I honestly think I want to dye my hair soon.” She said jokingly as they chuckled. Ellen asked them many more questions before landing on a personal one.

“I’m not sure if you all are alright with personal questions, but are any of you dating?” She asked as the members froze along with Hoku. In reality all of their relationships with the girls were out in the open.

“Ah yes we are.” Daesung answered as Ellen smiled.

“All of you?” She asked pointing before Jiyong hesitantly put his hand up.

“I’m the only one that’s not.” He answered as Hoku hung her head embarrassed.

“Is that so? Why not when all of your members are?” she asked sitting back as Jiyong sighed.

“I have someone in my heart.” He admitted as Ellen nodded.

“I’m giving her some time to let me into hers.” He added before she smiled.

“Does she mean a lot to you?” she asked while he smiled and nodded.

“She means more to me than my music does.” He said as she smiled.

“She must be special then.” Ellen spoke. The Ellen show finally ended with Big Bang being able to perform ‘Fantastic Baby’ Live on the show. Being that it was late at night, everyone headed back to the hotel for some rest.

“Are you going to go out with us?” Selena asked once she walked out of the bathroom. Hoku looked up from her pillow before shaking her head.

“I just want to sleep.” Hoku groaned before Selena nodded in understanding.

“Call me if you need me.” Selena mentioned as Hoku nodded, curling up in her comforter before rolling away. Selena left the room before Hoku sat up and looked around. About 10 minutes later there was a knock at the door, Hoku forcefully pulled herself out of bed, pulling a robe on over her pajamas before walking over to open the door. A bellhop was on the other side with his cart full of boxes.

“Hoku Fernandez?” he asked as she nodded confused.

“These boxes came for you downstairs along with this.” He mentioned handing an envelope to her. She took it, opening it before seeing that it was from Mikey’s friend that she had contacted a few days ago from Nike.

“Oh, yes, can you help me get these inside?” She asked as he nodded and began helping her carrying the boxes into the room before she noticed someone climbing out of the elevator and heading her way. She thanked the bellhop before watching as he left scooting past the figure walking towards her confused.

“Is everything ok?” He asked worried before she nodded.

“I got a few boxes in tonight.” She offered turning to let him see the boxes stacked up in her room.

“From who?” he asked as she leaned against the doorframe staring at him. Over the last couple days, they had been talking more often, it was awkward at first but now they spoke to each other like friends. Hoku didn’t mind being friends with him but Jiyong wanted nothing more than to have her back in his arms where she belonged.

“What is it?” He asked as she smiled gesturing for him to come in. Jiyong hesitantly stood in the doorway as Hoku walked in and turned around to see him still standing there.

“It’s alright.” She reassured before he nodded hesitantly before stepping in and shutting the door. Hoku pulled the boxes apart looking for a specific one before grabbing it and walking over to hand to him.

“What is it?” he asked confused taking the large and surprisingly heavy box causing her to smile as she walked over to sit on the couch.

“Just open it.” She urged as he sighed taking a seat next to her before opening the box to see 3 pairs of shoes sitting in the box.

“Wow.” He whispered in shock picking them up one by one to look at them.

“Original Nike?” he asked surprised as she smiled and nodded.

“Mikey from Chrome Hearts is friends with the creator, he wanted to give you guys shoes to have.” She gestured to the boxes causing him to smile.

“There’s another one for you and the rest of the guys.” She offered pulling her knees under her on the couch.

“Thank you.” He spoke as she looked over to him.

“For what?” She asked confused as he covered the box placing it on the table in front of them.

“I know how much you hate me and hate being around me, but you still did everything for us this week.” He whispered looking down to his hands in his lap ashamed. She watched how depressed and embarrassed he was, sighing she finally spoke.

“Jiyong, I don’t hate you.’ She finally had spoken his real name. His eyes shot open and quickly looked over to her.

“What?” He asked unsure as to what he heard. She sighed, standing up before walking over to the fridge for a drink.

“I said, I don’t hate you.’ She mentioned again popping open a bottle of beer before tossing one over to Jiyong who barely caught it.

“But just because I don’t hate you, doesn’t mean I want to be with you.” She offered before chugging the drink quickly. He just continued to stare at her as if she had grown a third head.

“Why not?” he whispered hurt before she sighed, pulling out another bottle.

“Jiyong, I’ve been hurt many times in the past, but having my breakup publicized from Korea to the states, it’s the most embarrassing thing ever.” She whispered before he sighed, chugging his drink.

“Hoku, I’m sorry.” He whined causing her to lean onto the dresser looking away from him. The night he had taken her home when she collapsed, she had been awake the entire time he had spoken to her, she heard everything he admitted in the car, but still she couldn’t go back to him.

“Jiyong, I’m scared, alright.’ She whispered already in tears, putting the bottle down before collapsing to the ground. Jiyong sighed, quickly walking over before kneeling in front of her.

“Hoku-ah, I’m sorry.” He whispered hurt, reaching out before grabbing her hand in his. He missed the feeling her hands would send through his body.

“If I could take it all back, I would.” He whispered holding her hand in his while she cried.

“Jiyong, I trusted you, more than anything, I was ready to give my life up to move to you, but I can’t.” She whispered breaking his heart more as he watched her crumble in front of him.

“Hoku, I’m sorry, I’m so sorry.” He whispered leaning forward before resting his forehead on her own.
“I’m sorry you have to go through this, all because I was too stupid.” He whispered also in tears while she cried.

“You did it to save the members also.” She whispered looking up to his tear stricken face.

“If you know that then why?” He asked begging as she sighed.

“Jiyong, I can’t go through with this type of relationship anymore, it’s not healthy for me.” She whispered as he bit his lip to suppress the whimpers coming out. Jiyong watched her speak in front of him, she looked ill still, she had grown thinner and on top of that, their relationship had grown distant in the last week. He couldn’t hold it in anymore, he quickly leaned forward and connected his lips once more. He needed to feel her again.
