Author’s POV…

Jiyong’s lies went on for the remainder of the week; he constantly received calls from the hospital with Trang screaming for him in the background and the nurses having to beg for him to come down for her. Every time Jiyong fell for her plan and did as they asked, leaving Hoku hanging on the string of lies he spewed out to her.

“Steph, how’s your uncle doing?” Tyra asked over to Steph as she looked up. We had all gotten news that Steph’s uncle was hospitalized here; she was glad that she was still in Japan with her parents in the states, so she was visiting them often.

“Oh, he’s doing much better.” She whispered hesitantly looking to Hoku. There was one thing she knew that no one else knew in the room. Yesterday, when she had gone to visit her uncle in the hospital, she had seen the two most unlikely people there.

Flashback:

“Come on Uncle, the nurse says you need to go back to your room.” Steph whined helping her uncle back into his wheelchair before hearing a slight squeal of a laugh.

“What is that godforsaken sound?” He grumbled holding his ears as Steph winced before looking down the hall to a pair walking towards them.

“Jiyong oppa?” Steph whispered unsure as they got closer, before she ducked with her uncle into an empty room.

“Ya! What are we doing in here? This isn’t my room?” Her uncle yelled outraged before Steph silenced him. Peeking out the door they were hiding behind, low and behold she saw the pair walking past.

“Is that Arisa?” Steph whispered in shock seeing that she was hooked up to an IV while Jiyong had his arm around her waist, and smiling on top of that. Steph gasped a little too loud for comfort, ducking back into the room out of sight.

“Oh my god.” She whispered horrified looking around the room in a panic. Not only was Hoku one of her closest friends, but so was Jiyong, she didn’t know what to do. The logical thing was to leave it alone, and let them deal with it, but could she do that to someone who has been treating her like family?

End of Flashback:

“Where’s Hyung?” Taeyang asked walking into the opened hotel room to see Hoku sprawled out on her bed, books everywhere.

“He said he had to run an errand.” Hoku mentioned adjusting her reading glasses as she read through the books. Taeyang looked at her worried and then over to Steph and Selena who were sitting quietly in the room.

“What errand?” he pushed as Hoku sighed looking up to him.

“I don’t know, he’s always gone on errands now. He never tells me where he’s going, he just leaves.” Hoku spat sounding annoyed before going back to your reading.

“But Hyung never does errands.” Seungri pointed out walking into the room as Hoku continued to stare down at her studies, she had taken up trying to learn more Japanese while they were here, but she couldn’t help the nagging feeling telling her that there was something definitely wrong with Jiyong, that he was hiding from her.

“You think he’s doing something behind my back?” Hoku whispered never bringing her hurt expression up from behind her bangs to look at the guys.

“No Hoku-ah, he would never.” Daesung then said climbing onto the bed next to the shaking girl to comfort her.

“I think there is more to the picture than we are seeing.” Top then said as Hoku sighed and looked up, blinking away the tears that were threatening to fall.

“I swear if that bastard is doing anything he’s going to regret, I’m going to kick his .” Selena hissed causing Hoku to chuckle a bit.

Jiyong on the other hand, spent every moment he wasn’t recording or doing promotional things with Trang in the hospital. The doctors has informed him that her condition was getting better every day that we was there. But with just the slightest chance he wouldn’t show up, she would go insane and call for him. So that’s how it worked every day.

“I’m glad you came today.” Trang mentioned already sitting up in bed to eat her lunch. Jiyong just smiled carefully as he watched her eat.

“Is everything ok oppa?” Trang asked seeing his hesitant smile disappear and down to his phone.

“Why do you like her oppa?” She suddenly asked as Jiyong’s eyes shot open to her.

“Huh? Who?” He asked clearly having his head somewhere else.

“That girl, the one you’re dating.” She pointed out as a genuine smile crossed his face.

“Because she treated me like a normal person, not as G-Dragon.” Jiyong whispered twirling his phone in his hand. Trang was seething on the inside, if this is what he wanted in a relationship, she could be that for him.

“Oppa, it’s obvious that you’re also a normal person. Anybody with brains could see that under the famous G-Dragon is also a normal, sweet guy who loves his music.” Trang praised with a smile while Jiyong looked at her slightly taken back.

“If you fall for her that easily just because she looked at you differently, any girl could do that.” Trang pointed out before sipping her water, side eying him to see that he was looking to the door in wonder.

“I did that for a long time oppa, you were always just Jiyongie to me.” She then pointed out as Jiyong continued to stare down in his lap in thought. He had to admit, everything she was saying was totally true, so what made Hoku and Trang different?

The secret hospital meet up’s continued into the weekend, where Jiyong found himself having to wake up early to go to the hospital before Trang would go off the loose end. But this particular night he had spent the night over at Hoku’s room, where Selena and Steph had given the couple the night alone.

Something was continuously vibrating in the room, over and over again, but it didn’t seem like anyone was in a rush to check it out. Hoku groaned in the arms of her boyfriend, smiling at his sleeping face that she was special enough to see before she heard it again. She looked around the room slightly sitting up, looking around before her eyes landed on Jiyong’s cellphone. Gently and carefully pulling her legs out from the covers, she quietly walked over to see a phone number she did not recognize calling. She just stared at it for a while before it stopped, showing that he had missed 20 missed calls.

“It must be important.” She whispered also seeing a picture message that she wasn’t willing to open. Putting the phone in her hand, she quickly pressed redial looking over to his snoring figure before she ducked out onto the balcony.

Ring~Ring

“Oppa.” A voice whined the moment the line picked up. Hoku’s heart dropped as she looked to the phone confused before putting it back to her ear.

“Oppa? Excuse me who is this? Who are you calling for?” Hoku asked with authority as the line went quiet.

“Ah is this Hoku-ah?” the voice then asked with venom dripping off every word.

“Who is this?” Hoku asked now territorial.

“Oh just a certain someone. How are you? Haven’t seen you since the interview show.” The voice pointed out as Hoku’s blood ran cold, her heart leaped out of and a growl ripped through her teeth.

“Arisa?” Hoku asked through her teeth as the voice laughed.

“You can call me Trang.” She pointed out uncaring before Hoku scoffed.

“Why are you calling Jiyong?” Hoku got down to business just making Trang laugh even more.

“I was calling to see if he was going to come and hang out with me again today.” She offered as Hoku’s heart stopped.

“Hang out? Again?” She asked nervously as Trang chuckled.

“Where do you think he’s been for the last week? Huh?” Trang asked amused as Hoku looked over her shoulder to the sleeping man in her bed, almost in tears.
“You’re lying, he wouldn’t do that behind my back.” Hoku snapped as Trang chuckled.

“Don’t believe me, check the photo I sent to his phone this morning.” She offered as Hoku nervously pulled the phone away from her ear, before opening the envelope. To her disbelief it was a photo of Trang and Jiyong in a hospital room, Jiyong was sleeping with his head on the hospital bed while Trang was awake, reading a book, petting his head caringly. Hoku felt the bile rise into , as she held a hand over to silence the whimpers that were now threatening to escape. Slowly the phone found its way back to her ear.

“You made me do this. No one takes him away from me.” Trang hissed before hanging up. Hoku was frozen in her spot for what seemed like a century before she found herself packing her belongings back into her suitcase quietly crying. She prayed and hoped that Jiyong would stay asleep till she left. She called YG not long after her conversation this morning, and asked him to let her come back to Korea early, using the excuse that there were things with the fan club that she wanted to do desperately. Seungri was perfectly well at Japanese, enough to translate for the guys on the two shows they had left. YG of course accepted her offered and booked a flight back to Korea. She needed to be away from him for a while, to clear her mind and think. That’s exactly what she was going to do.
