“You have to help your mother at her shop today?” Vernon asked emotionlessly.

Lily nodded her head once as she let out a soft smile. “Yes. I’m sorry I can’t tutor you after school today.”

He stayed silent at that and he spoke out after they arrived at her class. “I’ll see you at lunch then.”

Lily waved him goodbye slightly before entering her class. After she sat down on her seat, he walked away to his class soon after. What do you think they are? Friend? Best friend? No. They’re a couple. Of a month I should say. And they didn’t look like it in one glance honestly.

It must be shocking to say this but they never kiss in that one month. Any kind of kiss, forehead kiss, nose kiss, cheek kiss. Just NO. Holding hands? Fortunately we can tick that one. Hug? Well… If it’s when she was pushed to him and he tried to catch her from falling, we can say yes although unintentionally.

Awkward? No. They are not awkward with each other. Actually, scratch that since I have no idea about it. Let’s just start with the girl first. Lily is half-Korean, half-Caucasian like Vernon. She’s smart, kind and definitely shy around people meanwhile Vernon’s cold, laser-mouth and definitely bold around his enemies.

Opposite attracts? Yeah. Seems like it. During their dates, the farthest they have done is inter-wining their hands together. Even that is rare. Sometimes, his best friends would about their first kiss that never happened yet and he would knock them off after 3 seconds.
