Mingyu rested his chin on his arms that was on his study desk as his eyes were staring intently at his black Samsung phone. It vibrated after a few seconds, indicating that a message just came, and he hit his long legs at his desk’s legs along the process.

“Damn! That hurts… A lot…” He rubbed his pain legs as he opened his message box.

Mingyu was this close to throw his phone over the wall when he saw that it was just a spam. Ruffling his hair in annoyance, he snatched his maroon jacket from his closet and barged out of his room fast.

“Kim Mingyu. Where do you think you’re going at this late hour?”

“Sorry mom. I’ll be out quick. I have something important to do.” He answered while wearing his sneakers. “I’m going out now.”

“What is so important that you sacrifice your ‘forever 8 hours of’ sleep for?” She raised an eyebrow before continue washing the mountain of dirty dishes. “Wait. Shouldn’t you be asleep at this hour already?”

Soojung placed her cheek on her study desk while she kept her eyes locked on her white Samsung phone. She held the technology inside her hands as she swiped it open.

“No message or call. I don’t think he realized the gap that I’m making between us.” She murmured lowly while resting her cheek on her propped arm.

Soojung looked up from her room and saw the night sky was companied with hundreds of stars that were making the night sky more beautiful with the help of the moon.

“Night is always the most peaceful time of the day.” Soojung smiled softly while searching for the most best-known asterism and that is the ‘Big Dipper’.

She loved that asterism the most since it reminded her favorite memory when she was 14. Mingyu and she wanted to make popcorn but unfortunately, they forgot to cover the pan with foil so they were bombed with flying popcorns everywhere making the kitchen messed up. Thank goodness that their parents were at a friend’s funeral so they got away peacefully.

Soojung chuckled when she reminisce it and the phone in her hand vibrated out of the blue. She looked at the message that just came and her eyes widened in shock.
