Soojung blinked her eyes open the second she heard the sound of her phone ringing and abruptly sat down on her bed. Looking over her phone, her eyes widened upon seeing a freaking ‘Jisoo’ appeared on the screen and she just had to continue blinking to confirm whether it was indeed him that was calling her. When the reality hits her, she answered the call faster than a lightning.

“Hello?” she spoke up.

“Soojung. You finally answered.”

His voice sent her heart palpitating upon hearing her name but the next sentence made her frown, “Finally?”

“I’ve called you for a few times now. I thought that we’re doing our song today. Did you forget?”

She turned to look at the clock on the wall and she almost shrieked at the time. It was way past noon and she can’t believe she has been sleeping after breakfast until now. Curse those horror movies Jaehyun oppa forced me to watch with him and Hyesun eonni…

“Soojung?”

“I’m sorry!” she blurted, surprising him at the other end at her sudden outburst. “Give me 30 minutes and I’ll arrive at your house! Goodbye!”

Without waiting for his reply, she already ended the call and made her way to the bathroom, ignoring what he will think of her at the mean time. Her first priority is arriving at his house in 30 minutes time.

“Oh my god. I must have look hideous right now,” Soojung murmured to herself with her eyes locked on her phone screen as her mirror, trying to arrange her bangs. “I barely had the time to pick some decent clothes to wear. Please don’t judge me, Hong Jisoo. The probability of him judging me is 0% but can’t be too ease about it, can I?”

Her eyes flitted over her choice of clothing and she almost banged her forehead over the lift wall upon seeing a brown hoodie, black skinny jeans and a pair of gray converse. One word fits her so much, unfeminine. She could care less about her purple backpack which was screaming ‘Wild’ at the moment. She knew that she’s not the type to wear girly clothes and make-ups but she would gladly apply some on her face right now as it would help her bare face, very.

Her hands were sweaty when the lift stopped at the 17th floor and she went out of the lift slowly. She was about to step inside her crush’s house, who wouldn’t be nervous? Walking towards his house by checking the number he gave her few days ago, she checked over her hair one last time after finding the door to his home.

“You can do this, Ahn Soojung. Fighting,” she pumped her fists before pushing over the doorbell.

“Coming.”

She frowned when she doesn’t recognize the voice’s owner since her crush sounded different than this one. Footsteps were heard and soon, the door was being pulled open from the inside. A guy, handsome one, stared back at her as she did the same to him. Soojung had no idea who this gorgeous guy is.

“Yes, may I help you?” he muttered, raising an eyebrow at her.

She glanced over the number on the small paper in her hand before looking over the door’s number. When she’s positive she’s at the right house, she answered the guy’s curiosity.

“Uhh… Hong J-Jisoo…”

“Ah. Jisoo,” the guy hummed. “Jisoo! There’s a girl looking for you!”

Jisoo poked his head out from his room and met eyes with Soojung. He brightened at once and stride towards the entrance, standing beside the other guy.

“Come on in,” he said, giving her some space to go inside their house.

“You’re not a saint after all,” the other guy chuckled as Jisoo cocked an eyebrow. “I didn’t say I was.”

She gave the guy a look for mocking her crush right in front of her but he only waved it away.

“Well then, I’m a busy man so I’ll leave you two kids alone,” he snickered and went out, not after getting a joking kick from Jisoo. “Go and play outside.”

“Who’s that?” she can’t help but to ask after making herself comfortable on the couch.

“My brother, Hong Jonghyun. He’s 5 years older than us,” he replied before cleaning over the junk food wrappers that his brother messed up on the coffee table. “Ignore him. He likes to tease me.”
