“Hey, do you want to go and grab some waffles with me after school?” Doyoon spoke up after leaning onto the locker beside Jein’s.

Jein glanced at Doyoon’s anticipating face at the corner of her eyes before closing her locker shut, decided to ignore him who seems like he’s having fun talking to her every single day even though she never gives a reply to his every single question. He pushed himself away from the locker and followed after her with his hands safely tucked inside his pockets.

“Silence means ‘Yes.’, so it’s a ‘Yes.’ from you?” He asked again but she never really gave a respond.

He was about to say something again but the bell rang, telling the students to hurry up and get their butts inside the class. Feeling a heavy sigh leaving his lips, Doyoon stared at Jein’s back until it disappeared around the corner.

“Next time then.” He mumbled to her or actually more to himself at his failed attempt of asking her out. “I wonder why she never replies…”

“I expect you will do a good job considering you never really complain about doing this kind of thing. You may leave now.”

Jein badly wants to pull out her Judo skills and test it on the discipline teacher without mercy but she decided against it. She knew that it was her fault for coming late to school and it was just the wrong time for the teacher to appear when she just done hopping off of the school wall.

She’s a good student, never really place a speck of bad mark on her record but for today, her stupid famous actor brother, Song Joongki, just had to pull a childish prank on her, resulting her getting late. Maybe it’s because he missed his little sister dearly, thanks to his full-packed schedule he just have enough time to visit her in the morning, so yeah…

Wanting to call her brother and yell her lungs out at him for being the reason of her getting a detention, she just heaved out a huge sigh and made her way to the school’s swimming pool. This is going to be a long, tired day for her.

“I’m beyond unlucky for today. Honestly saying, will Lady Luck ever smile at me for this one day? I don’t even know anymore.”

Jein felt a few taps over her shoulder and she looked over with knitted brows. Her eyes slightly widened upon seeing Doyoon as he awkwardly waved his hand to her.

“Uh… Hi?”

She kept her eyes on him weirdly and the mop in her hand was snatched by him in the next second. “Let me do this for you. You can stay at the side and rest.”

He began to mop at the side she hadn’t done yet diligently. He’s an expert in cleaning since he sometimes helps his mother by making their house spotless almost every weekend because he’s an only-child. Almost screaming in shock when he turned around, he tilted his head after seeing her who stayed loyal by his side.

“Why are you still here? Go and have some rest.”

This time, the first time she respond to him, she shook her head as a ‘No.’ sign. He didn’t want to argue so he continued his work but with her tailing after his back like a small puppy, making him to chuckle a little.

“Why are you following me?”

She just shrugged the sudden pop quiz away, making him confused. “I guess you feel burdened by me doing your job, is it?”

Answering him with a nod, he does back his job with her at his back but with a few chuckles and giggles escaped their lips. Well, it’s kind of better than having an awkward silence surrounding the air.

After a few more mopping here and there…

“The pool’s bigger than I thought. Why did Teacher Han assigned you to do this? It’ll be hard for you to do this all alone.” He asked, beyond weird out since it’ll be forever to finish it until it’s sparkly clean.

“That’s where we came from.”

Doyoon recognized that voice. He turned towards the source of the sound in the next second as she also did the same. S.Coups grinning face appeared and Jein blinked upon seeing the cleaning supplies in his hand, and also in his other friends’ hands.
