Jiyoung pulled out her phone from her jacket’s pocket and called for her boyfriend since her class was over. She played with the autumn leaves under her foot while waiting for him to pick up. Frowning when it went into voicemail, she decided to call again but she only gets the same result.

She huffed in annoyance after doing 5 missed calls. She felt that eating lunch alone for this time wouldn’t be so bad so she went to the café nearby. Looking around for any empty seat, she saw a hand waving towards her and her smile grew upon seeing her best friend.

Making her way towards the table, she greeted Jaehyun and his buddies. “Sorry for intruding. Hi Jae.”

“Nah. You’re not, don’t sweat,” Doyoung waved it away at once.

“Just finish your class?” Jaehyun asked while Jiyoung nodded.

“Want some ice-cream, noona?” Mark nodded at the bowl and he wanted to lend her his spoon but she politely decline. “It’s alright. I’m fine, Mark.”

“Then, I’ll eat your portion, Jiyoung,” Ten stole the spoon and took a big bite making Mark to frown while Jiyoung just laugh at their bickering.

“I want to order more milkshake. You want anything Jiyoung?” Taeyong stood up and turned to look at Jiyoung. “I want a banana shake. Thanks Taeyong oppa.”

Taeyong left to buy some more drinks and Taeil immediately perked up when he saw the book in her hand. “Jiyoung… That book seems interesting. Share with me, please?”

The two chatted about the novel and Jiyoung instantly forget about her boyfriend momentarily thanks to her friends from high school.

“Let’s hang out sometimes, Jiyoung-ah,” Jaehyun said before leaving with his friends.

She waved back at him before deciding to get back to her dorm.

Jiyoung flipped over the page of her novel while sipping onto her Watermelon juice, eyes still on the words that were printed on her book. She kept reading over the story, doesn’t really care about the world at the moment since she’s still absorbed in her interest.

“Are you hungry?”

That voice made her focus to divert to the owner and out of shock, she immediately chocked on the juice, making the water splattered across the page she’s reading on. Her jaw was slack and she stared at her, now wet book, in absurd for a few minutes dumbly.

“,” she cursed unconsciously. “No! This one is limited edition!”

Scrambling up from the bench, she shoved all her things inside her bag and sprint away from the empty basketball court to the bookstore, searching for another copy. And she temporarily forgot about his boyfriend who was inviting a girl that was not literally her, out for lunch.

Jiyoung blinked her eyes open in surprise and she sat down almost immediately. Reaching over her phone on the nightstand, she looked over her screen but to her disappointment, there’s no new message from Junhoe.

“Don’t think of those things, Song Jiyoung. Dream doesn’t means that it’ll come true in real life. Junhoe ain’t going to cheat on you so relax,” She muttered to assure herself.

Looking over her phone back, her eyes bulged out in surprise when she saw the time. “And I’m ing late to my class! Screw this day!”

After her morning class ended with a long speech from her lecturer about the quote ‘Early bird gets the worm’, she was dismissed and like an automatic, she looked over her phone. She was about to call for her boyfriend like usual when a sudden pat on her shoulder made her to stop.

Turning over her shoulder, she blinked when she saw Ten’s happy wave. “Hey Jiyoung! Wanna get something to eat with me?”

She contemplated whether she wanted to decline or accept his offer but she decided to do the latter. “Sure. Sounds fun. Where do you want to go, Ten oppa?”

The duo arrived at a nearby udon shop and before Ten could plop down on a seat, Jiyoung already pulled him back and hauled him out of the shop. Ten cocked an eyebrow at her weird behavior and he glanced at her hand which was grasping around his arm.

“Did you see?” She asked.

“Uhh… See what?” He replied back with another question.

“Never mind. I suddenly want to eat something else. Let’s go, oppa
