Wooshin kept his eyes on his best friend as she flipped the book she’s reading to another page. Haejin giggled at one part that seems funny and she closed , preventing her from laughing out loud shamelessly.

He felt the paper inside his pocket as he was swayed between whether to ask her or not. This is kind of the first time he asked her out to hang out just the two of them. Before, his other friend would accompany them and it won’t be that awkward but right now, he’s so nervous that he couldn’t talk without stuttering.

“Haejin-ah.” Giving himself some courage, Wooshin spoke up between the silent.

“Hmm?” She hummed back with her eyes still stuck on her novel.

“Wanna go to an ice rink?”

She finally lifted her eyes up to Wooshin and she blinked at his invitation curiously. “Ice rink? Like ice, ice? Skate?”

“Yeah. You wanna go?”

Haejin kept her lips tight for a few seconds and she blurted out lowly. “I don’t know how to skate.”

Wooshin felt like his world was full of rainbows and unicorns (since her answer seems like she’s agreeing to go with a 50% on line) as he stood up with a pumped fist. “It’s okay! I can teach you!”

She stared at him with a chuckle escaping her lips. “Really? You won’t let me fall on my ? Cause’ that’ll be very embarrassing Wooseok-ah.”

He turned mute in a second and quickly replied back. “I’ll try not to.”

Even though she was not satisfied with his answer, it was better than ‘I Promise’ and he let her down with it. “Okay then. When is it?”

“Now.” He swiftly answered with a beam.

“Now?!” She yelped in shock.

Wooshin grinned playfully and he pulled out something from his pocket, revealing two free tickets to the popular ice rink place near the King mall. “I have come prepared for this.”
