“Please, please, please. Nara-yah… Don’t you love your mother?”

“Uhh… How bout’ no mom?” Nara flipped her long light brown hair fabulously as she rolled her eyes in irritated.

“Jeon Nara… I’m worried about you who has been single in 5 years now ever since high school. Let’s just forget about Johnny and be friends with some new boys what do you say?” Her mother tailed after her as Nara made her way to her room.

“En, O. No. Understand? I have spelled it for you so you should know the meaning of that one word that consisted of two letters and it gave out a negative vibe, my lovely mother.” Of course, that was sarcasm since Nara’s middle name is sarcastic.

“Gosh. You’re one tough cookie.” Her mother frowned unhappily at her daughter’s ignorant attitude.

“I know. Tough cookie, tough cookie.” Nara shrugged as she sang Zico’s song ‘Tough Cookie’ with a smirk on her lips.

“I have no other choice then.” She let out a sigh and fished out her phone before calling someone for help. “Oh honey? Nara agreed to marry your friend’s son--”

“Oh GOD NO!!!” Nara leaped from lying down on her queen-size bed and she snatched her mother’s smartphone before looking at the screen. Turning to her mother, she practically shrieked in anger. “YOU LIED TO ME!”

“It won’t be a lie anymore if you won’t go to the blind date that I set up for you.” Her mother grinned in victory while taking back her phone from her daughter.

“Jeez… Mother, you are so persistent. Fine, I get it. You’re more like my big sister, worrying about my love-life and all.” Nara blew her bangs as she pinched her nose-bridge, showing her annoyance about this topic.

“We’re only 10 years apart. It’s good to be sibling-like. As your step-mother, I’m worried about your heart-break. Anyway, your partner will wait for you at the café here. Wear something pretty and don’t forget about make-up.”
