She’s the one. Nam Hayoon… huh?

Hansol’s joke flew over Seungkwan’s ears as his attention was diverted towards the new girl in front of the class. Hansol noticed that he was laughing alone so he followed his friend’s focus and saw the black long haired female. She was silently observing the class while the teacher was introducing her to the rest of her classmates.

“I hope you guys will be good and befriend her, got it?” the teacher ended and the class erupt in harmonized reply, “Yes, teacher.”

“Your place is at the vacant seat at the back of the class, behind Hansol. Hansol, raise your hand,” Teacher Kim exclaimed.

Hansol obediently did as told and Hayoon knows where she was supposed to go. She strode pass the two best friend and sat down on her chair. Hansol wanted to greet her like the cheerful guy he is but Seungkwan stopped him before he could do anything. Though he was giving her weird looks, Seungkwan ignored his stare and forced himself to look at the front.

That is, after giving the new girl his cheerful beam, making her to be puzzled.

“Wanna go to the canteen?” Hansol asked.

“You go on first,” Seungkwan replied before tailing after Hayoon who just exited the classroom.

Hayoon was making her way towards the back of the building and Seungkwan assumed she was trying to search for some peace and quiet.

“Nam Hayoon.”

Her steps halted upon hearing his call and she glanced over her shoulder. When she saw it was just one of her classmate, she continued her walk, as if he didn’t say her name just now.

“Nam Hayoon-sshi. Let’s be friends.”

Seungkwan got himself a glare for even suggesting it in the first place. Hayoon then ignored him again as she tried to get further away from him but he made her effort goes down the drain.

“Stop following me,” she hissed.

He didn’t learn the word ‘stop’ and he won’t learn if it’ll make his intention of trailing after her vanish. He’s very persistent like that.

“Come on. Let me be your friend,” Seungkwan probed as he tailed after Hayoon like a stubborn lost puppy.

She finally made him freeze and that is by going inside the girl’s bathroom. Seungkwan looked at the sign on the door with a sigh escaping his lips.

“Smooth move, Hayoon-ah. Smooth.”

The next day, she used the same move to flee away from him. Inside the class, she made sure to block her ears using earphones when he tries talking to her, without the present of a teacher that is. Seungkwan sure is frustrated cause’ she’s using the same thing all over again.

A week went by just like that and when Hayoon thought Seungkwan finally stops with the pestering, she just assumed wrong. He appeared right in front of her after she turned the corner, making her almost lost 10 years of her life.

“Hi,” he greeted.

She shot him a look and went around him to continue her journey to the, guess what, bathroom. Before she could storm inside, he had held her over the arm first.

“Not successful at escaping are we?” he smiled.

He dragged her to the most quiet place that he had in mind and that is the rooftop, though she was thrashing to be released this instant behind him. Hayoon snatched her hand back with a huff, eyes boring lasers to the smiling guy in front of her.

“Now, shall we start afresh?” he blinked.

Seungkwan wanted to introduce himself first but her shout froze him over.

“Leave me alone!” she shrieked, her eyes turning watery the next second making him to feel so absurd.

He knew that he kind of gets on her nerves because of his continuous asking but he never thought t
