Gina swallowed the lump that was slowly growing inside as her eyes were fixed on something- someone so terrifying that she can even melt with just a gaze.

“He’s the guy?” she whispered, as if she’s afraid the one she was talking about will hear her.

When the Heaven’s HQ gave her a notice about her next mission to become an Archangel, she was delighted about it. She was 300% sure she’s going to get the best score as she’s caring, nice and kind-hearted, the best traits an angel could have but the second she saw her human, that thought plummeted to the ground.

“Yup,” her friend, Yuju, nodded.

“He seems extremely dangerous…” Gina continued, biting her lower lip.

“He is a fighter so maybe it’s because of his aura,” her friend shrugged.

“Even the most badass, excuse my language, angel did not have a pitch black aura.”

“Girl. We’re talking about human here. There’re times where they don’t even have a sense of humanity inside them.”

Yuju glanced at Gina for a split second and she stretched her limbs. “Whelp. Guess my work here is done. I’ll go back to my human.”

Before the girl could fly away, her desperate best friend had grip over her wings making Yuju to yelp, “Hey! Gina!”

“Don’t leave me here!” the latter pleaded. “Can’t we change humans?”

“As much as I want to, we can’t. It’s official that Kim Rohoon is my human while that Kim Hanbin guy is yours. So let go of my wings!” She tried flapping away from Gina’s hold but the girl was strong despite her timid personality.

“B-but…”

“Gina. Look straight at my eyes,” Yuju commanded as Gina did obediently. “You can do this girl. You can’t back out after failing the Archangel Test for 20 years straight. This will be the last task and you’re going to finally be an official Archangel after this. Just endure it for 400 days.”

“Fighting!” she added and the latter brought up her curled fists shyly. “F-fighting!”

“Atta girl! Now go there and show him who the boss is!” Yuju slapped Gina’s back as the girl stumbled forward towards her human.

As she stepped near B.I, she tried to speak up, “U-uh… H-hell-”

B.I’s cold distant eyes were diverted from his now-badly-beaten prey to the incoming blonde haired girl. “Huh?”

“Ekkk!” Gina squealed frighteningly when she saw his glare. “I can’t do this!”

She just flew away meanwhile Yuju slap a hand over her forehead. “This is going to be hard for her. Hey! Wait for me!”

B.I stared at the two girls who were flapping their wings towards the night sky. Pulling his hood over his head, he left the dark alley, a huff coming out of his lips.

Sitting on the ledge of the window, B.I’s eyes were glued on the full moon. The moon is very pretty today, like the angel he saw just now. It might seem absurd but the angel’s face looks similar with his mother’s when she was young.

It’s not scary cause’ it’s not the first time I see other creatures.

He turned around, wanting to step back inside his room when he saw the same angel right in front of him. Surprised, he let out a shout and almost fell from the second floor if not for her reaching hand which was grasped around his big one.

Gina hardly pulled him in and B.I heaved a relief sigh when his feet were placed on his floor’s room. The thing he kept chanting is, “I’m still alive, I’m still alive, I’m still alive.”

She bit her bottom lip in guilt when he saw that he was still breathing hardly, kneeling on the ground with both his palms on the floor. She finally built up the courage to talk when his dark distant eyes were shot her way.

“You,” he growled. “Get out of my sight.”

“B-but… I…”

“OUT!”
