“B-but I’m afraid of your sisters…” Hani pleaded and she doesn’t have a thought to let go of the door frame.

“Come on. I, as a man, am afraid too but they’ll not bite your heads off, trust me. They’ll just doll you up, Hani-yah,” Hyuk struggled to pull Hani to get inside his house as she was gripping tight onto the innocent wood.

Hyuk gave up in tugging her over her waist so he thought of a better one. Hani felt his loosened hold from her waist and automatically retreat her hands to her side.

“B-but I don’t need to be pretty. A-and I don’t even have to go to the prom. Y-you don’t have to be my partner. Y-you can just ask the girl you like to go with you,” she mumbled timidly.

“And that’s you,” he muttered under his breath.

“W-what? I can’t hear you,” she blinked her big doe eyes behind her black round-glasses.

Goddammit, Park Hani… You and your darn eyes… he closed his eyes with a sigh escaping his lips.

“Anyways, I want to go with you. Now, let’s get prettier, okay?”

Hani shrieked in surprise when Hyuk lifted her over his shoulder like a sack of rice as he strode over to his sister’s room. He has made up his mind years ago and he’s going to achieve his dream of seeing his best friend with make-ups before they’ll enter college.

Hani her lips anxiously as Hyuk’s triplet sisters scanned her whole, as if they’re going to devour her or something by the look in their eyes.

“Hey there! Are you Park Hani?” Saemi asked.

Hani nodded slowly, yet carefully. She’s feeling so afraid to do anything and get on any of Hyuk’s sisters’ bad side. That’s the last thing she would want, by the way. One by one, the girls moved closer to her before each of them inspected over her long wavy hair, striped shirt and jean shorts. Hani didn’t make it obvious she was uncomfortable with their touches though.

“Tsk. How could you even live in this?” Saeeun chided making Saehee to smack the youngest on the arm. “Ouch!”

“She’s the simple type, right?” Saemi guessed.

“Yeah. Very, very, very simple,” Saehee chuckled.

Saeeun seems like the frank type, Saemi looks like the cheerful type while Saehee’s the wise type. All of it is not the same as Hani’s personality, which pretty much making the situation worse for her since she can’t talk with any of them without being nervous and shy.

“Make-ups and hair on me,” Saeeun picked first.

“Then, I want to pick her dress!” Saemi giggled happily.

“That left me with shoes and accessories,” Saehee uttered.

“What’s the theme for this year’s prom anyway?” Saeeun raised a curious brow.

“U-uh… F-fantasy…”

“That’s just great!” Saemi clapped with a grin.

“Yeah. Just nice.” Saehee nodded. “We’re gonna choose your character for you, alright?”

Though Hani had no idea what the girls would do, she just obediently let them do things to her. They won’t do something horrible to her, right?

Yeah, they won’t, Hani assured herself.

“You can see yourself now! I’m excited to see your reaction!” Saemi squealed in obvious happiness.

It went silent for a few minutes that even the triplets thought Hani was sleeping although she was standing until they heard her whisper, “Is… this me?”

“No, hun. You’re looking at my reflection,” Saeeun retorted gaining a smack again from Saehee. “Ouch! Sis!”

“I-I… I’m not this beautiful before…” Looks like Saeeun’s joke flew over Hani’s ears as she stared at the mirror.

“You are this beautiful. You just didn’t see it before. You kept it hidden very nicely,” Saehee scrutinized Hani’s glasses which were inside her hand before breaking it into two.

“M-m-my glasses…?!” Hani squeaked beyond shock and she almost faint when Saehee tossed it inside the bin.

“You won’t need those anymore, trust me,” Saehee’s lips was sprawled to a beam.

“This is why I don’t believe girls when they say, ‘5 minutes more’. They need a new watch. 5 minutes could be extended to 50 minutes or even 5 hours. God,” Hyuk muttered exasperatedly as he paced around the living room, eyes darting to the clock on the wall every now and then.

When he heard the sound of a door opening, he can’t help but to blurt, “Finally.”

Saemi dashed towards Hyuk and quickly pushed he
