Eyes looking out of the glass wall, he sipped over his hot coffee as his other hand was twirling the pencil in his hand. His focus was on the plane which just departed from the Los Angeles International Airport and its destination was probably somewhere other than South Korea.

Because he’s going to be on the next ride and it’s going back to his homeland. Putting the paper cup on the table, he scribbled something on the stack of paper he has beside his drink. A plate of bagels and doughnuts appeared in front of his works as a figure plopped down on the seat opposite of him.

“You sure do your works seriously,” the girl murmured, munching over a doughnut after that. “Aren’t you tired of them? I’m already drained seeing you paying your attention more to your paper than your beloved cousin.”

“Since when did you become my beloved cousin.” He was supposed to ask that but it sounded more like sarcasm to her ears.

“That’s gonna leave a very deep hole, Jay so you better take those words back,” she scowled, almost throwing the bagel that she’s eating to him.

“I’m not planning on taking it back, Cassie. You haven’t even reflected on your action from 5 years ago,” he replied curtly leaving her to frown.

“Are you being serious right now? I didn’t reply to any of her e-mails just because you threatened me not to. My friendship with her is on the line for the past 5 years,” she scoffed in disbelief.

“I don’t want to talk about this,” he uttered, wanting the conversation to stop at that.

“Oh fine. We’re just going to be like this until we board the plane. I might as well go now-”

The sound of something crispy being crushed made her stop at once and she eyed his hand which had left-bits of the bagel. That’s the last sign for the last straw and whether she liked it or not, she had to obey it. Grunting, she stood up and stormed off to the woman’s washroom.

Hours later, they had arrived back at their homeland and the silent war is still going, not surprising actually. Jaehyun threw his bag pack on his bed before throwing his own body on it. Even if riding a plane means that he just stayed static for hours, it’s still tiring though.

Closing his eyes, he was slowly bringing himself to the deep slumber that he really needed more than anything. For the mean time, he would just think about himself, himself and himself.

“-Jay. Jay!”

Jaehyun jolted awake and he groaned when his body fell flat on the ground the next moment. His sleeping habits are the worst of the worst. Hissing in pain, he stood up and met eyes with Chaeyeon amused ones.

“What do you want?” he snapped, plopping down on his bed.

“I’m meeting Mingi.”

His eyes flickered for a split second and he turned to his side, looking away from her. “What’s that gotta do with me?”

Her face turned to a scowl, a smirk graced over her lips the next second. “Of course. This has nothing to do with you. Why do I even bother? Forget it.”

Chaeyeon was about to turn on her heels and go when she was blocked by a hand over her shoulder. Inwardly, she cheered while waving poms-poms. Jaehyun pulled her so she would be facing him and he really hated her arching eyebrow.

“I’ll take you there,” he murmured, reaching over his car keys on the nightstand.

“Like that?”

His eyes slid over his outfit once and his lips formed a straight line. He was wearing a hoodie and track pants, something comfortable to sleep in. What’s wrong with that?

“I’m your chauffeur for a day, not your personal bodyguard. That means I’m just gonna send you and after that, goodbye,” he informed making a vein to pop on her forehead.

Jaehyun was about to take another step when Chaeyeon immediately held over his hood, almost choking him to death. She dragged him and threw him over the bathroom, tossing some of his clothes that she took from his luggage.

“Wear that. You’re coming with me. Final.” She slammed the door closed and he blinked, trying to process what the hell happen for the pass 30 seconds with his clothes in his arms.

The door flung open out of the blue as he flinched in shock when his cousin appeared again. “Hurry the hell up. I’m coming back in half an hour.”

Then, the door closes again.
