Lee Geon stifled a yawn as he turned the knob of the Student Council room’s door from the inside to go out. Massaging his aching right shoulder, he began to step towards his class but before that, he has to meet with the Vice President of Student Council first.

“Viper,” Lee Geon called when he saw her in front of her locker.

Frowning when she didn’t face him, he went closer before peeking over the content of her locker but see nothing out of order. It seems that she’s staring into space right now.

“Hello, Viper?”

He wanted to laugh so much, in disbelief I may add, since he’s this close to her but she still can’t hear him. Tapping her on the shoulder continuously, he had started counting and the number when she finally noticed him is at 37.

“Oh! Geon-ah! I-I mean, President. Y-yes?”

“I know that the dreaded Sport’s Day is nearing and we have bundle of works to do but you can’t zone out when I already tried to pull you out of your dream world many times,” he uttered, more like a nag and she gulped at his annoyed face.

“I’m sorry?” she squeaked.

“Apologize properly and don’t make it sound like you’re asking me a question. This is why people called me strict. It’s not me but everyone around me makes me like this,” he frowned in disapproval.

“I’m sorry!” she yelped, bowed along the way, making the students around them jumped at her shout.

He wanted to bang his head over the locker so, so much. “Anyways, tell the other Student Council members that I want to have a short meeting after school today. Got that?”

“Yes, President!” she shouted again.

“You don’t need to answer like an army when I’m already the focus of your eyes,” he hissed, rolling his eyes.

“Oh. Yes, President,” she whispered.

“If one is not present, your workload will increase so do your best,” he ruffled her hair and waved with a scary smirk before leaving her side.

Because of that smirk, Eunbyul always have nightmares every single night.

Eunbyul’s eyes were stuck at the field, specifically at someone who was running around as he kicked the ball, while she was walking beside Lee Geon. He noticed her gaze outside the window and searched for her source of quietness and it leads to her boyfriend.

Nudging her side, she jumped at the sudden poke and flit her eyes to him with wide eyes. “Y-yes, President? Do you need anything?”

“I’ll give you permission to cheer for your boyfriend,” he said, a smirk was sprawled over his lips. “But just remember to come back to me after the game is finish.”

Her steps halted at once upon seeing his teasing face. “He’s not my boyfriend anymore,” she murmured but it didn’t go unnoticed by him.

He blinked as the words were being processed inside his brain before he let out a yelp, “Why?!”

He being shock at the sudden news is an understatement. If he remembered precisely, Eunbyul and her boyfriend is like pencil and eraser, they stick so close and it doesn’t seems like they’ll ever break up instead they’ll be together until they turned old.

“We broke up. A week ago,” she answered with a sad smile, “But it’s all in the past now. I can’t be greedy and stay by his side, can I? So I’ll just cheer for him from afar.”

After that, she stepped forward and even though it was faint, he could hear her exhausted sigh.
