“Damn this day. Damn my alarm clock. Damn everything.” Mingyu cursed in shock as he leaped over his bed before dashing straight towards the bathroom, not forgetting to bring his towel with him.

“ this hangover!” He yelled inside the bathroom with the shower sounding as the background when he finally felt the pain throbbing inside his head.

It’s as if he just jumped inside hell and hopped on back to earth when the uneasiness washed over him completely. He felt sick to the stomach at the same freaking time before throwing all over his breakfast towards dinner from yesterday inside the toilet.

“If only Wonwoo didn’t drag me to the ‘Bachelors’ party at Hoshi’s club…” Rubbing his temples, he grunted while waiting for this day to be over, seriously.

Mingyu heaved out an exhausted sigh as he fixed his blue hair using the reflection of his phone. He was beyond late that he doesn’t even have the time to look himself in the mirror. He stared at the number that was increasing each second while patiently waiting for it to arrive at his floor.

He knew well that he needs to get his at his workplace fast but he ain’t going to suffer himself by running 20th floor downwards to get to the lobby. He thought that since he’s already late as hell, why would he bother himself with his boss’ incoming furious glare?

He also made a quick reminder to hit a nearby shop and bought some hangover soup to ease his almost head-splitting headache. It’s been a while since he downed this many wine inside his nerve.

When the elevator arrived, he sluggishly made his way inside. He flit his eyes to his front and saw his neighbor who lives at the opposite of his apartment came out of her home. The elbow-length black with purple highlight haired girl seems like she doesn’t want to wait for another elevator so she sprinted towards Mingyu’s way.

He doesn’t want to wait for her since it also took some of his time so he let out a crooked mocking grin with his finger over the ‘closed door’ button. With a single push, the door started to move closer to each other making the girl’s eyes to widen. And also because he has this kind of happy feeling every time he teases her.

“NOOO!!! KIM MINGYU YOU BASTARD!!!”

Wow. Mingyu didn’t even have the thought of her doing that so he was beyond shock when her file smacked his chest, making a groan left between his lips with a small string of curse along with it.

The girl heaved a sigh of relief when the door open again and she stepped inside the elevator tiredly. “Safe.”

“Stupid, bird-brain, nonsense Jeon Nara… That hurts, you baby elephant…” Mingyu rubbed his chest after the sudden slap with his furious glare on the said girl.

“Who asked you to close the door first? Take that. My baby file saved me.” She shot him a not-amused look and picked up the file from the floor, dusting the dirt away with a smirk. “And you made me do a marathon in the bright morning. I’m not the sporty type of girl, thank you.”

He hissed, still feeling a little mad but didn’t say anything else. The door then did its thing as Mingyu rolled his eyes, praying hard that they’ll be out of this confined metal as soon as possible. The quietness never really disturbed them since they prefer it that way.

Nara suddenly had the urge for revenge when she wanted to hit the ‘lobby’ button. Mingyu noticed her freezing hand and he cocked an eyebrow at her weirdness.

“What’s wrong? Medusa turned you to rock like how hard-headed you are?”

Nara let the insult pass her ear and she looked over her shoulder. “Hey. Are you late for work?”

“Sure damn I am so you better be fast with the push.” He snorted with a twitch of his brow.

“I don’t think I will, you pole.” Of course he frowned at her growing smile and the next thing she did made him dumb-founded as hell.

She made sure to not miss any button from the wall and he could only stare at her absurd action foolishly. He snapped out of his mind when the elevator began to move, a sign of their stupid adventure from going through all the floor of the apartment.

The elevator stopped at the 45th floor, the highest, and it then went down a floor when no one went inside. The ride continues childishly as it went down a floor, then a floor, then a floor, as if a kid was playing with the button when there’r
