Yeji’s hand halted from writing her notes and she turned to her side, looking at one particular guy. As she predicted, Woozi snapped his head back to the front, pretending as if he didn’t just bore lasers on her but she saw the way he twirls his pen has fastened. That usually means he’s thinking a whole lot at the moment. She couldn’t really wave it away since he has been doing that for almost a month now.

She wonders whether she did something to him to act like that. Did she borrow his money and never pay back or did he hear her nonexistent talk bad about him behind his back? Weirdly, she hasn’t had much conversation with him though. Blinking curiously, she then turned her attention back to the slideshow.

Her class ended an hour later and she packed up her things to go to the cafeteria. She felt like getting two chicken floss breads along with a cola and type her assignment nearby the soccer field. It’s windy there and it’s the best spot for her. Not really a big eater, she doesn’t weight much though her attire usually consisted of baggy shirts.

Just as Yeji was about to leave the class, someone poked her shoulder making her to look back. Bowing slightly to Woozi who bowed back in reflex, he brought up the paper that their lecturer passed out before.

“Do you want to uh… be partners…?” he asked awkwardly.

She kept zipped for a moment before blurting out, “Is that why you have been staring at me?” She forgot how this assignment needs to have a partner and vaguely recalling their lecturer’s words that asked them to search for their own.

Just then, she curiously eyed his red ears while he lowered his head. She doesn’t know why he avoids eye-contact with her but not that she minds. He also has been doing that a lot of times when she turns to look at him. Clearing his throat suddenly, he nodded as a reply.

“Sure Jihoon.” Yeji smiled. “But first, let’s tell Teacher Nam about us.”

A smile lit up Woozi’s face and they walked towards Teacher Nam’s office. On their way, Woozi spotted his friends at the other side of the hallway and his face paled. Yeji noticed that Woozi isn’t walking beside her anymore so she looked back, quietly staring at her new project partner.

“What’s wrong?” she asked when he kept his mouth shut.

“Let’s use the long way-”

“Jihoon!”

Woozi face-palmed mentally.

Yeji looks towards the owner of the voice as 2 guys appear with excited waves towards her project partner. Assuming they’re his friends, she slightly bowed towards them and they just flashed their never-ending grins.

“What,” Woozi muttered or more like a grunt.

Yeji jumped in surprise cause a few seconds ago, he was actually 10 steps behind her and suddenly he was standing beside her. Not that he’s really close or anything but this is the first time she actually sees his face up close. He isn’t one we would consider tall but he’s still taller than her and it makes her tilt her head to the side by how young his face looks like.

Apparently he was having a conversation with his friends and he seems annoyed for a bit. Yeji just realize all the time they were chatting, she didn’t pay attention to what they’re saying and only has her eyes locked on Woozi’s face.

What a creep… Finally getting herself together, she looks away and search for something to stare at. Funny how she didn’t think he’s a creep for staring at her during class.

“Yeji-shii?”

Yeji flit her eyes from the uninteresting pot of plant right beside the library’s entrance towards one of Woozi’s friend in alarmed. Are they talking to her just now? She doesn’t want them to think of her as an ignorant person.

“Yes? I’m sorry but you two are…?”

“Ah! I’m Jeon Wonwoo but just Wonwoo is fine.”

“And I’m Kwon Soonyoung. Soonyoung is fine too.”

Yeji nodded in understanding before asking with a tilt of her head. “What did you call me for?”

Wonwoo side-eyed Soonyoung and the latter nudged the former with a determined expression. Wonwoo flashed his smile and as if he’s rapping, a bunch of words came out from his lips making Woozi’s eyes to widen.
