“YOU’RE ING WHAT?!”

“I’m not doing it with anyone or anything on that matter Hui,” Jinho calmly reply, eyes squinting at the milkshake on the table.

Slowly moving his references books away from the table, in other words the liquid Hui just spits out of his mouth, he put them down on the chair beside him. Several heads turn towards the two bachelors in surprise at Hui’s sudden shriek.

“Don’t give me that bull. Did you even hear yourself right now?” Hui hissed as his head moves forward in a flash, looking at his best friend dead in the eyes.

“I’m just answering your question so I should be the one asking that,” Jinho arched an amused brow.

“Freaking hell. What’s this stupid news about you being married? What about university? Are you cray cray? I know you’re a bit too, scratch that extremely, introvert and socially awkward as towards girls but I didn’t know you have some screws loose in your he-”

Hui’s blabber was instantly blocked by a raise of Jinho’s hand. “It’s arranged.”

“Wtf?!”

“Did you just seriously say double u, ti and ef?” Jinho snorts at Hui’s jaw that almost reach the ground.

Hui’s brain finally fly back to him and he continues on his rambles. “Boy are you serious like come on man what year is this. BC? I don’t know what your parents are thinki-”

“It’s arranged by my grandparents.” At that, Hui facepalmed.

“Lemme guess. They’re growing too old and almost sick and they want to see their one and only grandchild to get married and get them beautiful grandchildren.”

That was supposed to be a joke but then Jinho nodded making Hui facepalmed for the second time. “You know what? I’m done. I’ll pray your bride won’t die from the awkwardness. Good luck on that.”

“Thank you,” Jinho smiled sincerely and Hui banged his head over the wall beside him since his bestie can’t sense the sarcasm in his words. “She’s supposed to come here and fetch me up by the way. I’ll introduce her to you. Oh right. We can just go and buy groceries with you.”

That perked Hui’s interest. “Fetch you by what? She drives?”

“She uses her father’s car and I guess she drives though she has no license,” Jinho shrugged casually meanwhile Hui gawked at the fact that came out of his friend’s lips.

“Dude. Are you sure this is a good ide-”

Hui’s mouth closed shut when a sudden figure plopped down on the seat beside Jinho. The girl who has short wavy red auburn hair sipped on Jinho’s oreo flavored bubble tea without asking for permission.

Narrowing his eyes at the girl, Hui only stares while Jinho scolded her for sitting over knowledges without an ounce of guilt. Ignoring the multiple piercings she has over her ears, Hui eyed her black tank top and extremely short jeans before diverting his eyes to Jinho who seems to have no effect whatsoever.

His fiancée is freaking showing her curves to the world while other guys ogled at her like dangerous wolves. He won’t lie if he said he respects Jinho for keeping his hormones on hold. I mean, Hui swears on his parents’ name he looks at the body rather than the face and this girl got 20/10 for her figure.

“Ah. Maeri, this is Hui, my best friend. Hui, this is Park Maeri, my fiancée,” Jinho introduced them to each other. “Hui will join us on our grocery shopping if you don’t mind.”

“Whatever.” Maeri didn’t spare Hui a glance as she keeps on sipping Jinho’s bubble tea until it was empty. “Buy me some more.”

“What flavour do you want?” Jinho asked, getting up from his seat obediently.

“Same as this one.”

After he left, Maeri rested her chin on her palm as she gazed at her fiancé from the back. Neither of them wants to start a conversation because the awkwardness is so tense with the absence of Jinho. Hui jumped in surprise when Maeri suddenly slammed her hand on the table. Moving his wide eyes to her, she stormed out of her seat and he looked over his shoulder to see where she’s going.

“Uh-oh,” Hui gasped and he quickly follows after her.
