“Where are you again?” Joshua asked with his eyes on the flashlight, waiting for it to turn green so he could cross the street. “Pledis fast food restaurant? Where the hell is that?”

“Beside the Nike clothes’ store? Okay. I’ll be right there.” He ended the call before making his way to the place that he’s going to meet up with his sister.

His sister just came back from the States since she’s working there and she wanted to have some sibling time with him although he strongly refused. Well, she managed to beg him though and that’s why he’s going to the respective place that she had told him about.

Joshua pushed the glass door open, a chime from a bell appeared above him, as he went up to the second floor. His sister waved happily when she saw him and he went to her without further delay.

“Hey lil’ bro. You’re handsome as ever.” Younggi complimented with a grin as Joshua plopped down on the seat opposite of her. “And you’re ugly as ever.”

She threw her fries to him with a scowl making him to chuckle. “I’m pulling your leg. How could you be a model with a hideous face?”

Younggi began to smile in proudness until his next sentence made her eyebrow to twitch in anger. “Except that you’re short.”

He howled with eyebrows knitted together when his sister kicked his knee for insulting her. “You’re in luck since I’m wearing sneakers and not heels.”

“It still hurts…” He grumbled as his eyes looked away but it stopped at a particular girl.

“So, when’re you going to introduce your girlfriend to me?” Younggi changed the subject and she munched onto her beef burger.

Joshua didn’t reply and he narrowed his eyes, trying to take a clear view of the person that looks strikingly similar with his girlfriend. It’s not that he would mind if she hung out with her best buddies after school but he would care if she’s meeting a boy that was not him. Alone.

Suddenly feeling a jealousy fire blaze up inside his heart, he stood up abruptly making his sister to fluster at his darkened face. “What’s wrong with you?”

“I’m going home.” He muttered lowly and just stormed off making his sister to frown worriedly. “But my boyfriend is coming in 10 minutes…”

School came like usual and Joshua doesn’t feel like eating with his girlfriend so he didn’t. He just buried his face over his propped arms that were on the table and dozed away during lunch break. He badly wants to talk to her about what he saw yesterday but he would want her to explain it to him herself without the need of him prying into her business.

He heard the sound of footsteps nearing him but he was too lazy to lift his head up, thinking that maybe someone was passing by. But when he heard his girlfriend’s voice, he just thought wrong.

“Jisoo?”

Doesn’t really have the mood to reply, he stayed silent, waiting for her next words.

“Is he asleep?” He heard her concerned voice. “Maybe I shouldn’t disturb him. I even bring my baked cookies for him…”

He almost, almost, raised his hand up to take the sweets away from her but then again, he’s still mad so he shouldn’t really give it in that easily. He let out a relief sigh after she walked out of his class.

“This is only day one. How can I survive for the days after?”
