Chapter 96: Please be okay
The Past is the Key to our FutureHye-min’s POV
Hoya oppa wrapped his arms around me like he wasn’t going to let go. I could sense the fear in his voice, the relief in his embrace; he was actually scared of losing me.
I could only imagine what was going through his head. If it were Hoya oppa who was hurt, I wouldn’t be able to stay as strong as he has.
I would have broken down.
I tightened my grip around him and rested my head on his shoulder. I felt safe in his arms and I wanted him to know that I wasn’t going to leave.
My head continued to throb but I fought back the pain. I couldn’t let myself ruin this moment or have Hoya oppa worry again.
“Hye-min ah?” He said finally breaking the long silence.
“Yes oppa?”
“I’m so happy you’re safe.” He let out a happy sigh, kissing me on the forehead. I could feel the butterflies in my stomach and the spark run through my body but I also felt the pain in my head escalate.
Maybe it was more serious than I thought…
I forced a smiled, hiding the pain. I felt myself slipping in and out of reality.
“O-oppa? I – I’m tired. Can you take me back to my room?” I asked.
“Of course.” He smiled.
“You look much better when you smile oppa.” I said, wiping tears off his face. He looked exhausted, like he hadn’t eaten well for days but he was still perfect.
I struggled to pull myself up, but my surroundings started to spin. I hit my fist against my temple as my legs gave in. Luckily Hoya oppa was there to catch my fall, like always.
“Hye-min ah! Are you ok?” He worried.
“Y-yea. I just feel a little dizzy.” I said trying to shake off the pain.
Hoya oppa knelt down and tapped his shoulder.
“Get on.” He smiled.
I didn’t refuse his offer and willingly wrapped my arm around his neck as he carried me up.
