Chapter 33: Drained
The Past is the Key to our FutureHye-min’s POV
I walked up on stage seeing doubles of Hoya oppa, Dongwoo oppa and Soo-jung. I shut my eyes briefly and opened them again as everything went back to normal.
“Maybe that was just my imagination…” I thought proceeding my way towards them.
Prior to the performance…still backstage.
“Why are you so warm? Do you feel sick?” Sungyeol oppa questioned, touching my forehead with the back of his hand.
“No, I’m fine.” I defended pulling away from him. L oppa reached over and check my temperature. His finger brushed against the center of my forward as I turned away.
“Hyung! Hye-min has a fever, take her to the hospital!” Sungyeol oppa said pushing me to their manager.
“She already refused to.” The manager oppa said helping me set up the earpiece.
“What are you doing?” L oppa question.
“Hye-min wants to do the performance.” He handed me a microphone and two female staff fixed my hair, dress and makeup.
“She can’t go on stage like this! She’s sick.” L oppa yelled with concern.
“I’m not!” I snapped. It was a lie, I knew I was coming down with something but I convinced myself it was nothing.
“Hye-min, you don’t have to do this…” Sungjong oppa reminded me.
“I don’t but I want to…” I said as I walked off. Some staff rushed me to a seat in the front row before the song started. The fans next to me stared at me with confusion but quickly returned their focus to the stage when they were revealed.
