Chapter 52: Not Your Seat

“She’s not going to come.” Sunggyu said patting L and Hoya on the shoulder as he walked ahead of them.
“It’s too late, she won’t make it.” Dongwoo added passing them with Soo-jung. After they got their tickets scanned, Hoya and L turned back for the last time wishing a miracle would happen.
“I guess she isn’t coming after all…” Hoya sighed as they entered the plane.
The 8 of them took their seats on the middle of the plane. L and Hoya left the seat between them empty, the seat that was supposed to be for Hye-min. As the remaining passengers boarded the plane, Hoya and L plugged their ears and closed their eyes. It was going to be an hour flight to Jeju-do. Passengers belonging to tour groups, pushed and shoved each other as they tried to fit their bags in the overhead compartments. Most of them were middle aged men and women who wore the classic Korean tour clothes.
“Excuse me!” a voice called as they squeezed between Hoya’s legs. The person plopped her bottom into the seat and accidently hit L’s arm. Both L and Hoya opened their eyes to the sudden movement.
“She decided to come!” they thought. They turned to the person only to see ahjumma wearning sunglasses and a visor.
“Um…sorry this seat is taken.” L tried to say as politely as possible. He couldn’t let someone taken over Hye-min’s seat, especially not some ahjumma.
“No! This is my seat!” the lady snapped, getting comfortable.
“We bought this seat. It can’t possibly be yours ahjumma.” Hoya forced a
