Chapter 110: Bad Timing
The Past is the Key to our FutureHye-min’s POV
Jungmin oppa was on the phone for longer than I thought. By the looks of his body language it seemed to be an important phone call.
I stared at the phone in my hand and hovered my finger over Hoya oppa’s name.
I contemplated over whether or not I should call him.
If I didn’t call him, I would definitely regret it…but if I call him, I know I would break down and the weeks I spent trying to get over him would go to waste.
“Emma Choo! Snap out of it! He’s probably forgotten about you! He’s probably moved on already.” I reminded myself.
“But…but…what if he still cares?” I sighed.
I closed my eyes, thinking about what I should do and by habit my fingers started to tap against my phone screen. When I opened my eyes, I realized I had called Hoya oppa.
I panicked and tried to end the call but my hand had a mind of its own. My hand trembled as it brought my phone to my ear.
“Sorry, the person you are trying to call is busy at the moment. Please call again later.” I heard the robotic voice say.
It was a sign.
The timing was wrong…again…
Even my phone was telling me it was time to let go.
“Uh oppa, done with the phone call?” I asked when I saw Jungmin oppa approaching.
“Yea, good thing I took it. It was an important call.” He said shoving the phone back in his pocket.
“Oppa, let’s go.” I suggested swinging my backpack over my shoulder.
“Already?” He gasped.
“Well, it’ll much better to wait there then out here with everyone checking in and stuff.” I said walking toward the gate doors.
If I step through that gate, there was no more turning back.
“Wait! Hye-min!” Jungmin oppa yelled pulling me back before I even stepped foot through the doors.
“L..let’s just wait a bit. I have another important…uh call I’m waiting for.” He rambled.
It was obviously he was lying but I pretended not to notice because now I had an excuse to stay a little longer.
Every minute…every second I had left in Korea meant the world to me. It meant there was still chance, even if it was the slightest chance.
Jungmin oppa and I walked back to an empty bench and sat down together.
“Oppa? Can I ask you something?” I spoke breaking the silence.
“Sure.”
“Have you ever…”
“Have I ever?”
“Have you ever
