“Don’t tell me what?” I repeated. The two of them exchanged looks and were hesitant to answer.
“What’s going on?” The others joined.
“Uh…nothing! Hoya was saying how he’s jealous of your photo-shoot skills…” Sungyeol hyung said. I wanted to believe his words but for some reason, Hoya hyung seemed more relieved than embarrassed. They had to be hiding something.
“Get ready, we’re leaving in 5 minutes.” Sunggyu hyung announced. I headed to the kitchen for a glass of water only to find Hye-min sleeping at the table. I still couldn’t wrap my head around the fact that she really was here.
“Hye-min ah! Wake up!” Sungyeol hyung screamed, shaking her awake. She pulled her head up and rubbed her eyes.
“We’re going out for dinner. Let’s go!” Soo-jung said linking arms with Hye-min, who only migrated to the sofa to sleep more.
“Hye-min, we’re leaving!” Sungyeol hyung said pulling her up.
“Ahhhh” She whined, burying her head back into her hands.
“We’re going to leave without you then!” Woohyun hyung added one last time. She waved her hand and motioned us to leave.
“I can’t believe she’s not coming to dinner with us!” Sungjong said entering the van.
“She’s jetlagged.” Hoya hyung defended.
“One of you should stay with her, it’s dangerous for a girl to be alone.” Soo-jung suggested.
“Not me! I’m starving!” Sungyeol said jumping into the van. I looked over to Hoya hyung who was about to open his mouth.
“I’ll go!” I ran before Hoya hyung had the chance to react. I stood at the door and waved at the van as they drove away.
I walked into the house and Hye-min was fast asleep on the sofa. Her head rested on her hands and she was cradled up in fetal position.
“Pabo” I sighed brushing her hair. She made quiet whistle noises with every exhale. I carefully pulled off her glasses before I lifted her into my arms.
