L’s POV

The moment I kissed her I knew there were only 3 possible results.

1. She would avoid me and never speak to me again.

2. She would kindly accept my feelings and give me a chance.

or   

3. A miracle would happen and she would tell me that she loved me back.

But none of those possibilities happened; instead Hye-min brushed off the kiss and pretended as if those 5 minutes didn’t happen.

“Can crack the eggs while I sift the flour?” She said handing me the carton of eyes

“How do you crack an egg?” I joked.

“You are not serious…” She said with an unimpressed look and accidently flicking flour on my face.

“S-sorry!” She said with wide eyes but that marked the beginning of our flour war.

“Stay away!” I laughed running to the other side of the counter.

“Come back here!” I called chasing her with a handful of flour.   

After the war in the kitchen, the cake was finally in the oven.

“I’m tired!” I sighed falling into the sofa.

“Me too! You made the work a hundred times harder than it should be!” She said whacking my arm.

“Hey! That’s no way to treat your oppa!” I snapped as she rested her head on my lap. I froze because of her sudden friendliness.

“Pshht. Let me tell you a secret.” She said looking up at me.

“What is it?” I asked running my fingers through her hair.

“I’m actually older than you.”  

“You are?” My eyes grew with disbelief.

“Yea, I’m actually a ’91 born. You should really be calling me noona.” She laughed.

“Noona? You’ve been lying about your age this entire time?” I gasped.

“Baby lie?” She laughed.

Did I fall in love with a noona? Not that there’s anything wrong with that but seriously? A noona?

“You know what else?” She asked.

I wasn’t ready to hear what she was about to say. She was full of …unexpected surprises.

“The truth is, I’m adopted.”

“Really?”

“Yup, my parents are actually monkeys from the zoo.” She laughed and that’s when I realized she was joking the entire time. For a second I pitied her.

“You’re not actually a ’91 born…” I said giving her an evil stare.

“Yea yea, Mr. Gullible.”

“YA! I’m older. Respect!”

“Sure. I’m sorry.” She apol
