Chapter 36: A dream?
The Past is the Key to our FutureHye-min’s POV
I heard voices around me causing me to open my eyes. When I sat up, I took a good look at my surroundings.
“Where am I?” I said out loud. I ruffled my hair and noticed I was no longer in Korea. I was on a beach. Palm trees grew by the hotels and in front of my eyes was the bright blue ocean. The rays from the sun beamed down on my pale skin. There had to be thousands of people on the beach. The setting seemed so familiar, it was just like the trip I took when I was 14, which meant Sean had to be nearby.
“Hurry! Come on, we’re going to miss the ice cream bike!” I heard a voice call me. I looked in the direction of the voice and saw Sean. He was motioning me to follow him. He was no longer the 14 year old Sean from that trip; he was the Sean now. His was in a white V neck T with bright yellow swim trunks. “Cotton candy is my favorite…” I sighed.
Sean wasn’t calling for me…he was calling for her. The two of them walked towards me with their arms intertwined. As they passed by me I reached up and grabbed his freed hand. He no longer had our couple bracelet on. It was gone.
“I told you I lost interest in you. Get lost!” He spat. He was serious. He didn’t even take a last look at me and he flung off my arm with force, driving my entire body to the ground.
“This can’t be true. This can’t be happening! Sean!” I cried.
But this was the truth and this was happening. It was finally over, for real. He broke my heart for the second time. Sean and I weren’t meant to be lovers, it was wrong from the start.
“Hye-min! Hye-min! Wake up!” I heard voices in the distance call. I turn my head searching for the voices but they were nowhere to be found. Then my vision was blurred by sudden brightness. When I regained my v
