Chapter 22: Adventure Begins?
The Past is the Key to our FutureHye-min’s POV
L oppa grabbed my bags and helped me get into the black van. The van seated 11 people and the other members including Soo-jung were already inside. As I got on, I waved to the other Infinite members and I gave Soo-jung a look; she had a lot of explaining to do.
“Hye-min!! How are you?” I turned around and saw Sungyeol oppa waving at me. L oppa and I took the two front seats so I couldn’t get a good chance to see everyone.
“Oh hi oppa! I’m tired.” I laughed. It was the truth, it was only 6 in the morning on a Saturday.
“So why are you guys here?” I questioned.
I heard Soo-jung giggle from behind, she was definitely up to no good.
“You’re spending the weekend with us.” L oppa smiled, reaching over me to help me put on my seatbelt. His face brushed against the tip of my nose. I guess he noticed me leaning back since he let out a small laugh. He really had a thing about invading other’s personal space.
The van started moving once we were all buckled up. The motion of the car was soothing and I quickly closed my eyes, rested my head on my neck pillow and drifted off to sleep.
“Hye-min…” a voice called accompanied by a hand that brushed against my cheek. Startled by the touch, I shook my head and opened my eyes. L oppa was the first person I saw, he had a big smile on his face.
“Oh, we’re here?” I yawned stretching my arms in the air before rubbing my eyes. I fixed my glasses and wrapped my jacket tighter before jumping out of the van. I felt the cold air hit my face and I quickly shut my eyes, putting my hands against my cheeks.
“So cold.” I shivered.
“Here, take this.” I turned to my right and met eyes with Hoya oppa. At that moment, it was like everything around me froze. He hadn’t changed much since I last saw him, except he was wearing glasses. A strange feeling ran through my body; a feeling I’ve never felt before. I froze like I was star struck. Before I had the chance to say anything, he pulled my arm and shoved the black mask into my palm. I stood there watching him leave with his mask in my hand.
“Let’s go!” Soo-jung cheered linking arms with me. She had a green mask on, the same on that Dongwoo oppa had. Her excitement much have blinded her from how mismatched her outfit was with the addition of the mask. I quickly put on my mask and grabbed my bags from the trunk.
“We’re taking the 6:55 train, so we have 30 minutes to do whatever.” The manager oppa said waving the train tickets in his hand.
“Uh…Why aren’t you guys taking the train? Don’t most celebrities take the plane?” I asked Sunggyu oppa who was standing next to me. I unhooked one side of my mask letting it hand from one ear.
“I don’t know, I guess we’re not famous enough.” He laughed.
I turned around to look for Soo-jung but she was gone…and so was Dongwoo oppa.
“Soo-jung…” I said under my breath.
I was left sitting with Sungyeol oppa, L oppa and Hoya oppa while the others went to buy coffee. There was a long moment of awkward silence as we tried to not look
