Hye-min’s POV

 ~ July 2, 2012 ~

“Emma! Wake up we have to get ready!” Hana yelled.

“Five more minutes!” I said waving her away.

“Get up!” She ordered pulling me off her bed.

“Ya Kim Hana! I said 5 more minutes!”

“Choo Hye-min! It’s the afternoon, get up now before I make you!” She yelled in Korean. I ignored her and covered my head with a pillow.

“We have to get our hair, nails and makeup done! There’s no time to waste!” She said dragging me to the bathroom.

“Hurry up and shower! Our appointment’s in 40 minutes!”

Still feeling tired, I lazily the shower and stepped in. The coldness of the water immediately woke me up.

“Cold. Cold!” I shouted turning the knob to the right temperature.

We arrived at Hana’s favorite Korean salon downtown a little after 2:30 in the afternoon.

“So have you decided who you’re choosing to go to prom with yet?” Hana asked.

“Yes.”

“Who? Tell me!!”

“You’ll find out tonight.”

“WAIT!” I screamed stopping Sean from revealing the winner. My abrupt interruption caused all eyes to focus on me.

“Um…I’d like to say something…I’m extremely flattered that the seven of you flew all the way to Canada to ask me to prom. This has to be the most creative and out-of-the-blue-promposal I’ve seen but it just happened so suddenly.” I started.

“I thought the idea of prom was for two people to willingly go as dates. I’m not saying I don’t want to go with them, but I think I should get the final decision. It shouldn’t be decided from a game.”

“So what would you like to do?” Sean asked.

“I’d like to invite all seven of you to my prom and on the night of prom I will decide who the winner is.” I answered.

Everyone gasped.

“But we want to know now!” Some students shouted.

“Yea! Us juniors don’t get to go! How will we know who you chose?” The younger students added causing commotion to fill the room.

“Eh hem!” Sean spoke into the microphone.

“I think we should respect Emma’s proposal. It is her prom date after all.” He announced.

And it was decided. I was to reveal my prom date on the night of prom and I had just the perfect idea of how.
