No One’s POV

“WAIT! HYE-MIN!” A voice shouted a few meters from Jungmin and Hye-min. The two of them immediately turned around, both expecting to see the same person.

“Hoya, it better be you.” Jungmin thought.

“Please be Hoya oppa. Please!” Hye-min hoped.

However, to their surprise it wasn’t Hoya.

“Hye-min ah! Good thing I just caught you!”

“Jun-soo? What are you doing here?” Jungmin questioned.

“H-Hye-min you forgot this!” Jun-soo panted dangling Hye-min’s necklace from his hand.

It was the couple necklace.

“I haven’t ever seen you take this off before, so I thought it may have fallen off or something” He said.

By habit, Hye-min brought her hand up to her collar bone and remembered she had taken the necklace off herself the day she broke up with Hoya.

“Uh…thanks oppa but it’s not important anymore…” Hye-min sighed rejecting to take it back.

“How can it not be important? You’ve had it on every day for the past how many years?”

“Three…” Hye-min mumbled.

“Exactly. So take it with you, even if you don’t wear it anymore.” He advised.

Hye-min grabbed the necklace and shoved it into her pocket. She didn’t even give it another glance. The necklace meant nothing to her if she was no longer with Hoya.

She no longer had the key to his heart.

“You two better get going, planes don’t wait!” Jun-soo joked pushing Hye-min towards the doors.

“Bye oppa!” Hye-min said giving Jun-soo a last hug.

“Bye Hye-min. I’ll miss you.” He said back.

While Hye-min and Jun-soo were bidding their farewells, Jungmin whipped out his phone and mass messaged Hoya.

Hurry! You don’t have time!

But in those few minutes Jungmin didn’t receive a single reply. He was only able to wait for Hoya for so long before they had to board the plane.

During the phone call he had with Hoya, Jungmin had learned the story behind Hye-min and Hoya. The experiences they had together; the hardships and good memories. Their story was familiar and Jungmin couldn’t help but relate to Hoya, 100%. Jungmin had in fact gone through a similar situation. In fact, the he told Hye-min was the truth and not some made up story. He really did lose his first and only love because of bad timing…because he was one step too late at stopping her.
