“I’m sorry Emma.” Hana mouthed lifting the knife above Hye-min’s heart.
“Come on!” The youngest shouted.
“What are you waiting for?” Another asked.
“Hana! Just do it! Now!” The leader hurried.
“Hye-min ah! Hye-min ah!” They heard Hoya’s voice cry out.
“It’s Hoya oppa!” One girl shrieked. His voice was getting louder which only meant he was getting closer. Hana was taken aback by his voice; she spun around, dropped the knife and her knees trembled in fear. She couldn’t risk getting caught with attempted murder. She would go to jail and her parents would disown her.
“Hye-min ah! Where are you?” Hoya cried again.
“Aish, come on! Let’s go before someone catches us!” The leader ordered, grabbing both the knife and Hana’s arm. The group of girls quickly followed them out the backdoor.
The commotion and movements caused Hye-min to slowly regain consciousness. She fluttered her eyes open and lifted her arm to her throbbing head.
“Where am I?” She said looking around the empty room.
Hoya’s POV
I raced down the hall, going around corner after corner.
“Hye-min ah! Where are you?...” I sighed hitting my palm against the wall and letting my knees drop to the ground. I pierced my lips and clenched my chest.
I was scared.
I was worried.
My heart ached from the fear of losing her.
For the second time.
“Please Hye-min, please come back!” I sobbed.
What if I was too late?
What if she…
“Hye-min ah…it isn’t that…it can’t be…you’re still here, right?” I asked hoping for an answer but there was no response.
“You can’t leave. Don’t leave me Hye-min please…” I bit down on my bottom lip as tears escaped my eyes.
“If you leave me…at least take me with you…I need you Hye-min ah. I need you in my life.”
