LEE JIYEON | AYAKA

      It has been days now since Kai and I started going out and everyone in school has found out about everything. I don’t know how but they just knew about it—from the fake relationship between Kai and I up until now. I was kind of worried about it but I guess there’s nothing to be worried about since our classmates don’t seem to care. Well, that’s good since I don’t really want any attention going on on my relationship with Kai. I would rather have our relationship private as much as possible. Its lunch time already and the gang decided to eat altogether and I’m just happy that everything’s falling into place now. Kai and I were on our way to the cafeteria when we stopped in front of the restroom and told me that he was going to use it so I decided to wait for him outside the restroom.

      “You !” I heard a loud voice coming from the end of the hall and saw Sooyeon walking towards me but I was shocked when she grasped my hair as soon as she arrived by my side and started pulling it, “How dare you steal my boyfriend away from me!” she shouted.

      I tried removing her hands away from my hair but her hand got my hair in an iron grip. It was really painful as she pulled my hair and started shouting words at me.

      “Yah, stop it!” I shouted but she just wouldn’t budge and when I thought my scalp was getting torn off my head, and then suddenly the grip was removed from my hair.

      “Park Sooyeon!” a man shouted and when I looked up, I was shocked to see Kai standing in front of me, “What the are you doing?!” Kai cussed as he hid me on his back, protecting me from his ex-girlfriend.

      “K-kai…” Sooyeon called but he ignored her.

      Kai turned to me with worry in his face as he cupped my cheeks.

      “Are you alright?” he asked as he look for any cuts or bruise, “Are you hurt?” he asked again but all I could muster was a silence as I shook my head, saying no.

      He then pulled me into a hug and kissed my forehead and right there, my tears started to flow like raindrops—not because of Sooyeon’s physical attack but because Kai cares for me. However, I suddenly grew conscious because I know Sooyeon is looking at us right now. I know that she just hurt me a moment ago but she doesn’t need to see her ex-boyfriend being like this to someone else—not that it’s wrong but she probably feels so bad right now.

      “I-I’m alright,” I told Kai.

      He just nodded at me and suddenly his eyes changed and then he faced Sooyeon. But I was shocked with what happened next…

      “What do you think you’re doing?!” Kai roared and if I’m on the shoes of Sooyeon, I would probably cry because he just looks totally scary!

      I’ve never seen him like this before towards girls, the only time he’s like this is when men from the club are messing with me.

      “Is this the reason why you rejected me?” Sooyeon asked, not getting fazed by Kai’s aura, “Huh?” she mocked, “Because you love that piece of junk?!” she shouted.

      Kai finally relaxed as he sighed, “Look Soo,” he called and I don’t know why but I suddenly felt jealous when he called Sooyeon by her nickname but I tried my best to keep my face neutral, “I’m trying my best to keep our friendship after all that happened between us but you’re making it hard for me to do that if you’re hurting the one I love.” Kai said calmly but Sooyeon just smirked.

      “Love?” she asked, “Hah, big word,” she faked a laugh and sneered at Kai, “And ‘keep our friendship’?” she asked, “Hell, that’s not going to happen as long as you’re with that trash!” she shouted as she tried grabbing my hair again but thankgoodness that Kai was there and he was quick to block me away from Sooyeon’s wrath.

      She finally glared when she couldn’t find a way of hurting me and left. When she’s out of sight, I let out a sigh that I didn’t know I was holding. And after all those drama, I finally felt the pain on my scalp because of all the tugging.

      “I’m sorry,” Kai breathed as he cupped my cheeks.

      “It’s not your fault,” I smiled as I placed my hand on his.

      “I’m really sorry,” he muttered as he pulled me into his arms, hugging me, “I promise you, I will not let anyone hurt you ever again.” He told me as he break from the hug and wiped my tears away, “I’ll always be here,” he smiled as he kissed my forehead. Right there, I felt the loud thumps of my heart and the butterflies in my stomach just wouldn’t stop flying all over my tummy. This guy has a serious effect on me. Before we left, Kai fixed my hair that was in a frenzy and finally decided to leave, “Come on, barnacles are waiting for us.” He told me as he grabbed my hand and started walking our way to the cafeteria.

      On our way to the cafeteria, I saw Myungsoo walking alone towards the gymnasium. I didn’t have the time to tell him about Kai and I since I haven’t seen him in school these past few days.

      “Kai, stay here, I’ll just talk to Myung.” I muttered but he just glared at me, “What?” I asked as I chuckled at his response. This guy doesn’t really like Myung, I don’t know why, “I just wanted to tell him the good news! I bet he would be happy for me.” I told him.

      “Fine,” he muttered, “I’ll be waiting here and you have five minutes.” He told me, “But remember that five minutes of waiting is a torture for me,” he reminded me and I just nodded as I smiled.

      I hugged him tight before leaving but when I was about to run towards Myung, he pulled me close to him and kissed my forehead, shocking me.

      “This is mine,” he said after he kissed my forehead, “This,” then my left cheeks, “This,” my right cheeks, “This,” he told me as he kissed the tip of my nose. “And that,” he muttered as he pointed to my lips, “That will be mine soon,” he exclaimed making my heart burst in an instant.

      That was weird but really romantic, I couldn’t help but smile and hug him.

      “It will be yours soon,” I chuckled and ran towards Myung’s side.

      “Myung!” I shouted.

      Myung snapped his head towards my direction and as soon as he saw me, he immediately smiled.

      “Look who’s here?” he chuckled as pats my head when I arrived in front of him, “Alone?” he asked.

      “Nope, I’m with Kai,” I smiled, “I just wanted to tell you some good news.”

      “Let me guess,” He trailed and looked at me, “Both of you finally woke up?” he asked and I already know what he’s taking about already.

      I nodded and smiled, “He’s courting me and I’m just really happy.” I muttered.

      “I’m very happy for you Ji,” he exclaimed as he hugged me tight.

      “Ayaka!” someone called.

      Myung and I parted from our hug and saw Kai running towards us.

      “Kai,” I called.

      “Come on,” he muttered as he dragged me away and I know that he just got jealous because I hugged Myung.

      I looked back at Myung, feeling sorry but he was just there waving with a bright smile in his face.

KIM JONGIN | KAI

      It has been days since I confessed to Ayaka and I couldn’t believe that I would be able to feel this happiness inside my heart again. It has been quiet some time since I’ve been sincerely happy and now, Ayaka just showed me that there are still some good things that are in store for me. I’m really thankful towards her and I just couldn’t help but fall inlove with her over and over again. We’re currently at the cafeteria and I have been craving for chocolate cake since this morning but all of those craving has vanished because of what happened a moment ago. When I saw Sooyeon pulling Ayaka’s hair, I don’t know… I almost wanted to push and hurt her for harming Ayaka but I tried my hardest to calm myself, besides she still had been my girlfriend. We might be in a rift right now but it doesn’t mean that I need to take revenge or hurt her.

      “Kai, are you okay?” Gayoung whispered at me, she probably noticed that I’m quiet.

      “I’m fine,” I smiled timidly as I looked down.

      I just felt bad after Sooyeon hurt Ayaka. I mean, it’s my job to protect my girl—I mean, soon to be girlfriend. I just can’t remove the thought that Sooyeon hurted Ayaka because of me and I’m just scared that this might happen again. I looked at Ayaka who’s currently eating her spaghetti, wearing her bright smile. I can’t explain what I’m feeling right now—I just feel so overprotective towards Ayaka and I feel so disappointed towards myself for leaving her alone for such a long time. Actually, this is my first time feeling this because when it was me and Sooyeon, the fight that I’ve only been is our own fight and the fights with some but this time’s different. A moment ago, when I saw Ayaka cry… I just wanted to bump my head on the wall for not protecting her but seeing her serene face right now, I just want to hug and cuddle with her at home—I just want to make it up with her.

      “Kai, why are you so quiet?” Ayaka whispered, not wanting to ruin the mood.

      “I’m sorry,” I muttered but she just smiled and nodded at me.

      And I instantly knew what she wanted to say, I know that she will just tell me that it’s all fine. I smiled at her and held her hand under the table. I swear, when we get home, I will cuddle with her on my bed and we will just watch Netflix all day long.

      “Hey, what are you guys doing?” Chanyeol asked while raising his eyebrow, “Smiling in the middle of nowhere?” he added.

      “I guess these two are just madly, deeply in love with each other.” Gayoung laughed.

      “I know right!” Sehun second the motion, “I’ve never seen Kai like this before.” He chuckled.

      Ayaka immediately avoided her eyes from them and tried to yank her hands away from me but I tighten my grip and smirked at everyone.

      “Of course,” I beamed, “I’m really in love with her and please guys, stop teasing us.” I told them, “My soon to be girlfriend is getting shy.” I kid and everyone just hollered except from Ayaka who’s turning into a tomato right now.

      She’s so cute blushing.

      “Oh these two love birds.” Chanyeol exclaimed as he shook his head.

      I smiled. Ayaka better get used to their teasings because she will deal with this for the rest of her life.
