The girl who lived a peaceful life in the rural areas of a certain nation. She was born under an ordinary family that weaves straw hats and takes care a small vegetable garden. She was the only daughter of farmer whose name was forgotten in ages. She loved to read old books found in their neighbor's abandoned barn that smelled like mud and grime. On the day she was born, she was given a name. She was Mera and there was nothing particular reason for the short name. She also loved climbing trees and playing through the grassy terrain near the mountain in the town.

Her color is plain and monochrome, she had a simple look and she was timid and shy. She was invisible in the crowd never became interesting or noticeable among girls who had the same age as her. Mera resembled a stray daisy that grew at the side of the road. She was pretty and many have seen her, but was never mentioned or complimented. She was bright but always tend to wither and fade away. Her family belongs to the third level of social status, this fact made it uneasy for her to follow her dreams. She had a strong potential to become a mage, but because of low income of her family they weren't able to send her to a higher school. She only attended a public school and learned basic and staple lessons.

Mera had a dream to become a marksman someday, but because of her clumsiness and slight weak immune system she was advised to stay at home. She doesn't liked the fact that most people in the community thinks that she was a handicapped or bedridden. She tried to become a document keeper, but her penmanship was sloppy. She eventually failed and the biography she wrote was rejected. She gave up and decided to help out in the family's business. 

One day, she found a boy who was the same age as her on the road. She was from school and making her way home. He was lying helplessly at the damp ground because it recently rained. He was also shaking in hunger and cold. Mera saw that his clothes and worn out and his hair seemed like it wasn't washed for ages. He was barefooted and had scars on his back. He looked at her and begged for a small qualm of mercy. At first, she was terrified at him because he looked a like a person who lost sanity. After minutes of staring at each other's eyes, she brought him home. Her mother and father quickly disagreed with her wish because they can't support another person in the household expenses. When they realized that she doesn't have a sibling, they finally approved him to stay in the house. They adopted and treated him as if he was their own flesh and blood.

Mera's mother struggled in cleaning up and fixing the young boy's hair because it was so filthy and they found assorted kinds of dirt in it. The smell of his scalp almost suffocated their lungs, it was so bad. The father cut his hair and carefully treated his wounds. After bathing him in, they put on newly washed clothes on him borrowed from a neighbor. After a lot of work, they were surprised how different he looked now. Years have passed, Mera and his brother grew up fast. They treated each other like real siblings and they are always together. They grew up playing in the fields and plains. They had friends including Lin, a daughter of a potter and her younger sister name Jane. 

But Jane was chosen as a scholar of the kingdom, so she had to leave in order to learn and study more spells and what is form of her power. Mera, Seunghyun, and Lin was left waving at her with tears of farewell in their eyes. It was a nostalgic childhood memory for them.
